Hey gurls and guys,
I think Geet should have a temporary makeover with her hair done up, in a skirt suit and wearing high heels. When Maan sees her he would be flabbergasted and so would the rest of the staff.
As the day progresses Maan notices that Geet has started pulling at the hem of her skirt as if to pull it down. She also kept on touching her hair as if her head was hurting. He decides to keep an eye on her....
...half an hour later...
Maan was about to call Geet to get him a file when he notices that she is no at her desk. He looks around but she is nowhere to be seen in the room. He curses himself for getting so engrossed in his work that he hasn't noticed she had dissapeared. He beckons Adhi over to him and askes him if he has seen Geet. Adhi tells him that he hasn't seen Geet for the last 20 minutes. Maan tells Adhi to go back to work and does the same....
..5 minutes later...
Maan looked up to see if Geet had come back but her desk was still empty. He decides to go and look for her. As he stands up he checks to see if anyone is paying attention. While walking out he tells himself that he is only looking out for an employee and that there is nothing wrong in that.
Adhi looks up from his desk and gives a knowing smile.
Maan has no idea where to start looking for her so decides to go to the hallway first. He has a sudden flashback of her throwing ink on his face the previous week. He still has no idea why she did that. Probably just to drive him crazy again.
He arrives at the hallway and looks around but cant see Geet anywhere. He searches againg and is about to leave when he hears a muffled sob coming from behind him. He turns around and spots her sitting on a bench behind a pillar. She is wiping tears from her face, her hair is undone and she has her jacket covering her legs. Maan slowly moves forward so she doesn't hear him. " You stupid girl geet, you cant even pull this off, you idiot, crying over a skirt and stupid hairstyle!" she mutters to herself and sniffs. She starts pulling at her hair in an effort to put it back up. Maan moves forward again but in the process steps on a loose tile on the floor.
Geet whips her head around in shock and spots him. She hurriedly wipes her tears and starts pulling at her hair again. Maan sits down next to her but she turns her back on him, still fiddling with her hair. He says "what are you doing geet?" and she replies " its all your fault!" and continues to pull at her hair. Maan sighes and wishes she would stop stabbing at her hair with the pin and says" what is my fault?". She replies " you said you didnt like long hair, salwar kameez and small town girls!". Maan then hears a gasp as she realises what she has said. He watches as her hands drop down to cover her face. He tries to stifle the huge grin that is spreading over his face. " So she is effected by my words this much" he thinks to himself. He says "Geet turn around" but she shakes her head, so he grabs her shoulders and forces her to turn towards him. She still has her hands ove her face and her hair is a mess from her dismall efforts to put it up again. He gently pushes her hands apart but she has her eyes lowered to the floor. "look at me Geet" he says but she shakes her head again. He puts his finger under her chin and gently forces her face upwards. She slowly looks up at him.
Maan can feel his heart speeding up and tries to stop himself from drowning in her beautiful eyes but he cant. "Why" he thinks "why does she effect me so?". He slowly raises his other hand and wipes away the tear stains from her soft cheeks. " Why would you think that i would want you to look like all the other hundreds of half dressed clones i see everyday in Delhi?" he says softly and moves her hair away from her face. He starts stroking the hair in his hand and says "Dont you know that you stand out from the rest, at least for me?". His hands seem to have a will of their own and are moving down to stroke her jawline. " Why should my words matter to you Geet?" he says and then watches as her eyes widen and a panicky look come onto her face. She moves her face away from his hands and says" i erm..i ..they..." and stops. Maan watches as she screws her eyes shut and her hands begin fiddling with her jacket. He leans forward and wills her to say what she really wants to say.
She takes a deep breath, opens her mouth and says " don't flatter yourself Mr Jwala Mukhi, the day your words register in my brain is the day i go and kiss Sasha!". Her eyes snap open and a horrified look comes onto her face as she realises what she has just called him. Maan watches as she quickly gathers up her jacket and wobbles away in her heels. He sighes and then a very small smile sneaks onto his lips....
The next Geet should go back to her usual salwar kameez and hair style and vow to stay that way so Maan doesn't think she was doing it for him. Maan also is relieved that she has gone back to her desi style and hopes she stays that way. Although if his words have such an effect on her.....
