After a long time, Parvati was talking to Shiv about Ganesh and Kartikey being at the age to get married and they should think about them getting married. Ganesh is shown a bit more grown up. Ganesh asks what they were talking about. Parvati and Shiv tell him that they were talking about Kartikey and Ganesh's vivah. Ganesh tells them that he doesn't want to get married. Parvati says the Tridev are married as without Shakti, men are only half. Ganesh says he has decided not to get married. He then goes off. Parvati is upset and Shiv says just wait, Ganesh will agree to get married.
Ganesh is then shown doing Tapasya in a field chanting "Aum Namah Shivaya". A woman then comes, she goes to Ganesh and makes sounds with her bangles and payal. Ganesh doesn't move. The woman then goes to his other side and makes more noises with her bangles and Ganesh comes out of Dhyan. Ganesh asks who she is and says she hasn't done right. The woman introduces herself as Dharmdhvaj's daughter Tulsi, her mum is called Madhvi and she is looking for a husband and she feels her search is over seeing Ganesh. She compliments Ganesh. Ganesh says what are you saying, stay in your limits, don't disrupt my Dhyan, go from here. Tulsi says she decided he is her ideal husband, please accept me. Ganesh says I have decided not to get married, married life is already hard, I only look after my parents, go from here and find a better husband. Tulsi gets angry and says you have gone against Prakriti and Dharm, I announce that you will have to get married. Ganesh says you have gone against womenhood and cursed me, so I curse you that your husband will be an Asur and she will have to be a tree in the future. Tulsi says I have made a mistake, please forgive me, please release me from this curse. Ganesh says I will forgive you, this curse will be a boon, you will be close to Vishnu and you will be the highest tree, Vishnu's Puja will be incomplete without yours and you will purify people and also you will stay away from me due to my curse. (This is why Tulsi leaves aren't used in Ganesh Pujas.)
Parvati says Ganesh has been gone for 2 days, I hope he isn't angry with us. Shiv tells her not to worry and Ganesh will return. Kartikey comes and says what happened? Parvati and Shiv tells him what happened. Kartikey says he will bring Ganesh back to them and they bless him. Kartikey then goes.
Kartikey goes to Ganesh and tells him Parvati is worried, you also look worried, what has made you so worried? Ganesh tells him what happened with Tulsi. Kartikey says this wasn't right, women never come forward to build relationships, so men should accept them and that he shouldn't have hurt Tulsi. Ganesh says she went against womanhood, she should have stayed in her limits. Kartikey says we should leave this now and go back to Parvati and Shiv. Ganesh agrees.
