Part 11

Nishant: Man this sucks, he said as he watched Kripa and Kanan strolling ahead of the guys eating cotton candy and giggling about GOD knows what. Meanwhile Angad and Nishant were trying to keep up with them as they flocked from one place to another, talking away.

Angad: Nishant man you know I love you and all but this has got to stop. I didn't come here to waste my entire Saturday on you, no offense.

Nishant: My sentiments exactly. But how do we seperate the duo?

Angad: Leave that upto me. He went upto kripa and put an arm on her waist steering her in the direction of the ferris wheel and grabbed a seat while Nishant and Kanan grabbed another. Before the ride started, Angad handed some money to the guy who was incharge and instructed him to keep them up there for a while. The ride began and as soon as they reached the top, it stopped and Angad grinned victoriously.

Angad: So where were we before we were so rudely interrupted by them? he asked with a glint in his eyes as he leaned closer to kiss me.

Me: No kiss for you, I said and slid further away from Angad who looked at me diasppointed. But then again they were trapped high in the air, its not like I had a lot of space to run away from him and pretty soon, I was right where Angad wanted me, in his arms. The two of us talked and laughed and giggled and made out for half an hour before others started complaining and the ride was started again.

Angad: You are not going to go off with Kanan again are you? he asked giving me the puppy dog look which could melt the heart of any female in the vicinity.

Me: Maybe! I said smiling. Angad decided it was better not to take the chance and as soon as the ride stopped to let the tow of them out, he grabbed me around the waist, lifted me into the air and ran, while I was screaming at him to stop.

Me: What did you do that for? I asked later when he dumped me unceramoniously on the floor while he caught his breath.

Angad: Sorry, I didn't want to take a chance, he said grinning ant me and I couldn't help but grin back. He looked so cute at the moment. We spent the rest of the day together, ALONE

Days passed and pretty soon everyone warmed up to the idea of me and Angad going out, well atleast I stopped getting filthy looks from all the girls as soon as I stepped inside the room.

Gone were the scornful looks replaced by something a shade less vicious. Baba was back from Milan and this meant no more visits from the guys much to their disappointment. However with each passing day, my love for Angad grew deeper as he worked to gain my love and respect. Every single thing he did to bring a smile on my face brought him one step closer to my heart till he became the sole propertier of it.

A week away from university was all that anyone could think about for it had been a stressful term and a camping trip was a welcome break. It was Nishant who came up with the plan to spend a week in the wild, nothing but us and the open fresh and everyone enthusiastically agreed. So pretty soon, me, Angad, Aaliya, Josh, Nishant, Kanan and to my utter dismay, Prithvi and his latest girlfriend Simone were on our way in a rented RV.

Why did he have to come along, I have no idea but there he was, flashing his infamous scowl. Since Angad took up the charge or driving for the first half, I sat up front with him, chatting nineteen to the dozen while he merely grinned and shook his head occasionally. I knew he was listening even though he pretended not to but he always heard what I said.

Me: Angad, I wanted to tell you something. I said seriously. He at once looked a bit apprehensive and glanced my way.

Me: I love you.Angad looked at me quizically.

Me: I just realized that I don't say it more often but even if I don't say it, please know that I love you very much. You are the best thing that ever happened to me and I mean it. Angad smiled at me tenderly and brushed his lips against my cheeks.

Angad: I love you too babes. The two of us were still looking at each which is a dangerous thing considering Angad ws driving but we were brought back to earth by the flash of a camera as Aaliya snapped a picture of us and the others Oohed and Aahed at the Kodak moment. Everyone was smiling excpet Mr Jealous Prithvi who scowled. The journey paseed by quickly with us screaming, dancing, yelling, going crazy and drawing alot of unwanted attention to ourself. But hey, you're only young once right?


Angad: Attention! Beautiful ladies, and the not so beautiful men, after 18 hours of driving, we have finally arrived. He said and we cheered and made a dash outside just in time to view the most beautiful sunset ever.

Everyone stood still for a moment, soaking in the peace and tranqulity of the moment heading back inside the RV for some food and much needed rest. Since there wasn't much room inside, it was decided that the girls would sleep inside while the guys slept outside.
