One Shot
It's just been 2 days of his marriage and he is already lost in his thoughts. It's not that he is not happy in thismarriage, he is very happy actually getting a life partner like Riddhima. They both have an arranged marriage, that's why they met just 2-3 times before their marriage. Their marriage was arranged by their parents. All were happy with their alliance. Actually, armaan's mom saw riddhima in some relative's marriage. And just with one glance Armaan's mom chooses her as her son's bride.
And armaan as if gives his heart to her beauty especially her smile. Her beautiful smile has something special that always pulls him towards herself. And their alliance fixed up. Riddhima's parents are also very happy to get a well educated and humble boy like armaan for their daughter.
Both the families are very suitable to each other, their casts match and they come from high-class family in the city, everything suited and both of them get married. Riddhima comes in Armaan's house as Armaan's bride. Armaan knows that their marriage comes so fast that they did not get time to know each other so well.
On their wedding night, he told her he will move ahead when they know each other well and will be comfortable with each other. Riddhima did say 'yes' to him. Today it's 2 days since he got married but he is tensed as he was not able to see that smile on her face which he loved her. He knows something is bothering her but he did not know what is that. He wants to know that and wants her to be happy. He wants to become her True Soulmate, not just husband. He was observing his riddhima from the past 2 days. Just within 2 days, she made everyone hers. A smile always plays on her lips but he always thinks something is missing in her smile.
He is still in his thoughts when he heard the voice of footsteps with the sweet voice of anklets. As he looks up he finds riddhima is standing there just like a newly wed girl. Seeing her looking at himself she put one fringe behind her ear and speaks in her soft voice.
R:" your tea."
She said and Armaan returned her smile thanking her for his tea.
A:" thanks."
He thanked her and she is about to leave when Armaan holds her hand stopping her, this is new for her as he never did this something like this in their 2 days old marriage. And on top of it she feels some sensations passing through her body with his touch making her heartbeat fast. Try to calm herself she turned and looked at him with question in her innocent green eyes as
R: ji apko kuch chahiye tha kya?
A: " umm nahin kuch chahiye nahin bas apni pyaari si biwi chahiye do pal bitane ko.
He said making her smile and shy at same point. She lowered her eyelids and placed one of her tendril behind her ear. He loved her seeing her like it just like his newly wedded wife, but he knows something is missing. And before he is going to lost in her beauty he thought to ask her
A: Riddhima please yahan baitho mujhe kuch bat karni hai tumse.
He said and sensing some seriousness in his voice she sat near him. And then taking her hand softly in his Armaan asked
A: mujhe galat nahin samjhana Riddhima, kya tum is rishte se khush nahin ho?
Hearing his question Riddhima is shocked beyond limits. It's nothing like that why on the earth he is thinking like this. What she did that makes him think like this. She is still in shock when Armaan who is reading her face seeing the emotions coming on her face, he nudged her asking
A: bolo na Riddhima kya tum is shadi se khush nahin ho. Agar aisa hai to Vishwas karo mai.
But he could not able to complete as she cuts him in between
R: please Armaan aisa kuch bhi nahin hain.
She said and her these words gives him the immense relief. After all he loves her so much from the day he laid his eyes on her.
A: Riddhima.
R:mujhe nahin pata Armaan apko meri kis bat se yeh laga ki main is shadi se khush nahin hun. Par aisa kuch bhi nahin hain, yeh rishta maine apni khushi aur marzi se aapse joda hai.
She said looking towards him then slowly lowered her eye lids. Armaan knows she is telling the truth so slowly yet firmly gripping her hand in his
A: I trust you Riddhima aur I am really very sorry Maine tumse yeh sab pucha Mai.
Riddhima smiled at him and then slowly she speaks up
R: nahin apki koi galati nahin hai tou sorry mat kahiye. Ap ko shayad meri reserve nature ke karan aise laga, Actually mujhe open honein mein thoda time lagta hain.
She tried to explain him thinks he will under stand her and Armaan smiled and pressed her hand in his.
A:I can understand Riddhima completely trust me it will be my responsibility to take care that you are comfortable here.
He said and Riddhima knows he is saying the truth that's why she married to him that genuineness and honesty in his eyes makes her say yes to this alliance. Then their trance breaks as they heard armaan's younger brother rahul's voice
Ra: Sorry to disturb your romantic moment guys but bhabhi mom is calling you.
He informed while teasing them and Riddhima slowly taking her hand out of his grip, stood up.
R: Main aati hun.
She left while saying that and Armaan looked at rahul who is giving him all teasing smiles.
A: what?
Ra: Nothing you love bhabhi right bhai.
He said giving his bhai a knowing smile.
A: Han rahul you are right. I love her so much. You know that day in Vicky(armaan's friend) marriage when I met her as dad's friend daughter, I fall for her. It was love at first sight for me, her innocent smile just melted my heart. That's why I said yes to mom for mariage and asked for riddhima's alliance.
He answered going all the way in flashback when he met for the very first time and lost his heart to her.
Ra: I am so happy for you bhai.
A: but I don't know about her for her this is so fast.
Ra: don't worry bhai bhabhi will also love you. After all you are going to love her no one else could ever do.
He said and Armaan hoped the same and both the brothers smiled and hugged each other.
After 3 months
It's 3 months of his marriage with Riddhima and he is still in thoughts. His love for Riddhima in these 3 months just increased with every passing second. Riddhima is happy with him and in his family she got adjusted fully. Mallik mansion is incomplete without Riddhima now. All the family members got so dependent on her that without her they can't find even a needle in their house. She has super bond with mom that they are like friends in spite of mother in law and daughter in law. They go for market and to spas together enjoying their women time. His dad loved her to the core, she fulfills that place which his father has for daughter. They both go for the walks in morning and once a careless for his health karan Mallik is fit now. All thanks to Riddhima. With rahul they are just their best, they laughed played pranks on each other. In fact she goes to movies with rahul only as Armaan is not Hindi movie lover and she is hard core Bollywood fan so she pulled rahul with him. With him she is just awesome, he can never asked for the better wife than her. She loves him dearly yes she loved him that she herself confessed on the valentine day. Thinking about that day he went back to the day.
Flashback Valentine Day
Riddhima is wearing a red dress. This is given to her by Armaan in the morning with a note saying spend a evening with me'. She smiled at his cute gesture she loved all the little things he did for her. And now she is here, her hands are in armaan's as he is leading her somewhere with her eyes closed. And soon she hears armaan's voice
A: ok Riddhima ab dheere dheere apni ankhein kholo.
He said and Riddhima did what he said and as soon she opened her eyes, she is spellbound with the scene in front of her eyes. She was standing on the beach and in front of her one table was placed with two chairs. She looked at him and he blinked his eyes to her and Riddhima just
R: Armaan ap ko kaise pata ki.
But she is cut short in between with her
A: tum humesha beach par ek date par Ana chahati thi. Well jaana ap tou humein kuch nahin batati par humein apke bare me sab kuch na sahi thoda kuch tou pata hai.
He replied to her while winking to her and then Riddhima heard the slow sound of waves that is music for her. She just want to dance on the sound of waves. She was thinking how to tell this to Armaan. Then she feels hot breaths kissing her ears
A: apne man ki Har khawish tum mujhe bata sakti ho jaana.
He said looking at her with all the love in his eyes and kissing her cheek, Riddhima looked at him questionably when he makes her twirl in his arms.
A: dance.
And she was dumbfounded he knows everything and she just let him do all the moves and her body danced with his body's rhythm. As Armaan stopped after sometime her head rested on his chest while his chin on her head he mumbled softly kissing in her hairs
A: I love you.
R: I love you Armaan.
She too confessed her love for him, with the flow of moment Nd her feelings. She was thinking to do something special while confessing to him but her heart feels this moment and she never knew when the words escaped from her mouth. Hearing her confessing armaan's eyes shoot he slowly de tangled her from him while still holding her from her waist.
A: Riddhima.
She was looking everywhere but him no, lowering her eyes. She suddenly feels too shy around him. And armaan's heart just want to listen those three words again and again. He slowly lifted her chin with his finger make her look towards him
A: please.
Riddhima can feel that urgency and love in his voice so she just speaks looking directly in his eyes
R: I love you Armaan.
And hearing that confession once again Armaan just placed his lips on hers. He slowly and softly started kissing her and Riddhima at first did not start responding, but feeling his pure love she too start kissing him back.
Flashback ends
A smile formed on his lips as he go back to that day. And his trance breaks with a knock on the door. He allowed the person to come in. And there was standing Muskaan, riddhima’s best friend. He with a smile gets up and hugged her as she came.
A:” Hi muskaan how are you and thanks for coming.”
He said as he settled on his chair back after giving muskaan a chair.
M:” Hi jeeju pleasure is all mine. I am fine too and how are you?”
A:” I am good yar acha tell me what you like to have?”
M:” No formalities jeeju but I am coming directly from my classes so I badly need one cup coffee.”
A:” Off course yar just one minute I will order.”
He said and then ordered two cup of coffee and some light snacks he turned to muskaan. Then seeing him free muskaan started the conversation
M:” Vaise jeeju bat kya hain jo apnein mujhe yahan office mein milne bulaya hain. Aur Riddhima ko bhi batane se mana kiya hain. Sab thek tou hain na?”
She asked him as Armaan called her in the morning asking her if she can met him after her classes in his office itself. That too without informing Riddhima. Armaan smiled at her concern best friends off course so while nodding he answered her back
A:” Han muskaan sab thek hain yar par kuch thek nahin bhi hain.”
Hearing him muskaan got confused so she speaks up
M:” I did not get you jeeju.”
A:” It’s about Riddhima muskaan.”
M:” Riddhima kya jeeju is she fine?”
His words makes her restless so she countered him question and
A:” Relax muskaan She is fine. Par kuch hain jo main samajh nahin pa raha hun. Aur uske liye mujhe tumhari help chahiye muskaan.”
M:” Kya jeeju?”
A( takes a deep breath):” Look muskaan don’t get me wrong. I am happy to have Riddhima in my life. The most luckiest and happiest man in this whole planet. But I don’t think that Riddhima is happy with me.”
He said leaving muskaan in a shock position. But she recovered from her shock immediately and then she answered him back
M:” Nahin jeeju you are wrong. I mean apko koi misunderstanding hui hain. Riddhima loves you a lot trust me.”
She said try to assure him as she knows her friend loves him so dearly. Her love is pure. Armaan smiled at her words off course he knows she loved him too much and he has no doubt on her pure love.
A:” Main janta hun muskaan ki Riddhima loves me. Mujhe is par koi bhi doubt nahin hain. “
And he was cut short in between by her
M:” Tou for jeeju apnein aisa kyun kaha ki Riddhima apke sath khush nahin hain. Usne kuch kaha hain kya apse?”
She asked him all losing her control. She is getting confused here with every second.
A:” Yehi tou bat hain muskaan vo kuch kehti hi tou nahin hain. Main janta hun ki mujhse bahut pyar karti hain. Par vo pyar jatati nahin hain. Apne pas tou mujhe ane deti hain par apna dil nahin padhne deti. Apne man mein chupi bate nahin karti mujhse. Mere sath hokar bhi mere sath nahin hoti kayi bar. Uske honthon ki vo beparvah hansi jis ne mujhe uska deewana banaya tha, go shadi ke bad abhi tak nahin mili mujhe. Isliye main tumse janana chahta hun ki aisa kya hain meri Riddhima ke man mein jo vo mujhe bata hi nahin pa rahi. Aur jo bina parchai humare beech mein khada hain. Bolo muskaan.”
He asked her all his unasked questions about her and muskaan just lowered her eye lids. She is surprised how someone can read and understand another one so beautifully. But she does not have answers to his questions, and if she has she can’t answer him.
A:” Bolo na muskaan kya bat hain please tell me.”
His voice brings her back to reality. She averted her gaze from his and answered to him
M:” Mujhe kuch bhi nahin pata hain jeeju sorry.”
She just completed in few words. Armaan knows she is lying he can see her in body language.
A:” Muskaan yeh tum bhi janti ho aur main bhi ki yeh sach nahin hain. You know everything, Han vo bat aur hain ki tum batana nahin chahti. It’s ok I will not force you. Shayad mere hi pyar me koi kami hain that you don’t trust on me. But that’s fine.”
He said and hearing his disappointed voice, muskaan feels bad. She knows no body can love her friend more than him. She can trust him with her desire so she thought to break her promise which she has given to Riddhima.
M:” Please jeeju ap aise mat kahiye. .”
Muskaan told him not wanting to feel unsure of himself. Hearing her Armaan looked at her then
A:” Tou aur kya kahun muskaan mujh mein hi kami hain shayad tabhie tum mujhe nahin bata pa rahi ho.”
He said feeling dejected clearly then muskaan finally gives in as she can’t makes him feel like that, after all he loved her friend dearly. And she can trust on him with her little secret.
M:” Actually jeeju vaise tou I promised Riddhima that I will never tell about this to anyone. Par apka uske liye pyar dekh kar main apna vaada tod rahi hun. I am trusting you jeeju with her heart’s little secret. Actually not a secret a desire that is unrequited.”
Armaan nodded at her as she told him she is trusting on him and seeing him nodded muskaan continued.
M:” Actually jeeju Riddhima ka sapna tha apne name ke aage Dr. laga dekhne ka. She always wants to do p.h.d. Aur shayad apko yeh bat nahin pata ki we had already given our entrance exam for it. The day your alliance come for her is the same day our result has out. She was so happy as we both got selected but in the evening this alliance has come. And the rest you know. She left her dream that’s all. It’s nothing like that she is not happy with you. She is more than happy with you and in love with you. But it’s just that it’s her unrequited dream that makes her sometimes sad.” Muskaan completed telling him the desire of his wife. He smiled how she is justifying her friend too after all that’s what the best friends are. But he is shocked at the same time just this thing that she did not telling him. That means Riddhima did not know him yet or she did not trusted him yet.
A:” Par muskaan itni si bat hai tou Riddhima mujhe aaj tak keh nahin layi. Kya vo mujh par itna bhi trust nahin kar payi hain abhi tak?”
He asked in hurt tone and muskaan can understand his emotions but she knows her friend is right too at her point so
M:” Jeeju I know this is small thing. Par jeeju hum jis society mein rehte hain na vahan aj bhi girls ke dreams shadi ke bad finish ho jate hai. Sorry but no offence this is still the reality of Indian society. Aur rahi bat Riddhima ki vo apse itna pyaar karti hain ki apne sapna ke liye apko pareshan nahin kar sakti vo.”
She completed the reason of her friend’s action and Armaan somewhere agreed to her. This society still is not advanced especially study after marriage what’s the need. You should manage the house hold. But he is sure of something he wants her that innocent smile back.
A:” I know muskaan aur Riddhima ne tou mere liye apna har farz nibha diya ek achi bahu achi bhabhi achi patni sab ban gayi vo. Aab meri bari hain apki dost ko batane ki pyaar tou hum bhi unse kam nahin karti hain.”
He said while winking at her and muskaan is surprised with his words not understanding him she asked
M:” Kya matlab hain jeeju apka I did not get you.”
A:” Batata Hun aur I need your help in this sali Sahiba.”
He said with a big smile adorning his face and muskaan responded to him
M:” Riddhima ke liye kuch bhi jeeju.”
She said and then Armaan told her his plan that actually shocks muskaan first and M:” Jeeju but I mean are you sure?”
He understands her concern so he nods in yes
A:” thousand percent don’t worry muskaan.”
He said and she nods then after few minutes muskaan left from there with a smile and hugging Armaan.
A(in his heart) :” I love you Riddhima though I am mad at you for not telling me anything but baby you are in for big surprise.” He smiled to himself finally his heart at peace now he can her fully, the missing part of her heart will be his too.
It’s almost 2 weeks since the meeting of Armaan and muskaan in his office. From last 2 weeks he is working on fulfilling her desire her dream. Today he is all ready and the occasion to surprise her is also a perfect one. Yes today is her birthday, her first birthday after wedding. He wants to make it special for her in every senses. And this gift is perfect for that he knew. Mallik mansion is decorated beautifully for the occasion of their darling daughter in law’s birthday. Riddhima was getting ready in her room before the party starts on. She was wearing a beautiful blue colour saree that mom gifted her and she is looking nothing but desirable in that one. Armaan was gawking at her from the corner of his eyes. As she was trying to hook her neck piece Armaan comes from back and start doing it for her. Feeling his manly hands around her neck, she took back of hers. She give him a smile from the mirror which he returns. After tying her neck piece he gently kissed her neck bone going her weak from her knees. He knows he has that effect on hers, he smiled on that. Then he put hands on her eyes and placed something in her hands forwarding them. As Riddhima opened her eyes as he removed his hands she asked
R:” Yeh kya hain Armaan?”
A:” Apka birthday gift sweetheart.”
He answered flashing his million dollar smile.
R:” Par is ki kya zarurat thi. I have you, I have everything.”
She said looking in his eyes and Armaan just pecked her temple then
A:” Open it please.”
He said and Riddhima just smiled at him. Nodding to him she start opening the pack. As soon she opened it she gets the biggest shock of her life, the contents in it makes her eyes go wide. She looked at him confusingly.
