Okay copy pasting my menu RG... no update yet so time pass noodles natter and yapping πŸ˜†
It's as long as an update . Was anyway not able to sleep much.

Green peas chaat in a corn cup
Masala mini idlis with tomato chutney sambar( luckily I have 2 sets of mini idlis plates steamers)
Spinach Paneer samosa with mango/ basil/ mint dip
Potato tots ( Store bought)


Kattal biriyani/ raita(tender jack fruit)
Penne Au gratin with potato and jalapeos
Egg butter masala
Baby potatoes subzi( rotis I bought)
Dahi vada-

Fruit srikhand in cube 2.5 oz shot glasses
Vanilla cake with lemon icing( daughter and her friend together baked it)

RG , Big cooking is kind of passion I have developed over the years. I love trying different stuff on such occasions. I do definitely take stress but I enjoy making it. Day to day cooking is pretty much South Indian at home , so I try to keep it interesting for me when we throw a party. Yday's first attempts were tender jack fruit biriyani, egg butter masala, ripe mango basil mint dip and fruit shrikhand. I ordered this 2.5 oz cube glasses and layered shrikhand with layers of apples, grapes and mangoes. Google helps and then I try bring in my variations . Tender idi chakkai ( kattal) I got it in Patel bros


A Neighbour Punjabi friend of mine and daughter helped solid yday. Hubs did the groceries and shopping with face time specific instructions. Had a lady come in for cleaning on Friday. It's all aches and sore feet now but shouldn't complain because I take it on myself

Ads I'm kinda used to but it's not letting me stay on CKP page since Thursday night. Amazon rearward ads pop and closes the page. I'm having to browse in IPad . πŸ˜•

Kalpana...i simply loved the menu...am amazed how you managed to do everything by yourself!!
I also feel motivated when i hear of such menus to cook but when i enter the kitchen its all golmaal for me.
I must start big to feel good.

It was lot of work girls. So I kept cooking and chopping quietly away most of Friday night after both of them had gone to sleep. Hung the curd in three packs . The sink faucet I have is very convenient for hanging a Muslin cloth. Kattal cutting was bit iffy. Night time allows me to do it without any distractions Then during the day I had my friend do a major bit of chopping stuff. Daughter helped me with filling the idli plates multiple batches , bake a cake and layer the dessert. Normally she is not kitchen savvy. But last night was her first day of spring break and decided to shower me with some pity. Otherwise she is very lazy when it comes to helping me out at home.

Not much food is left people. Distributed biriyani and stuff. Dessert and starters I hv nothing left.
I do want to eat RASAM today for sure. You cannot take rasam and curd away from an Iyer πŸ˜†

I'm thinking Nisha too is having problems with IF like Jas and I.
But hope it works better on her laptop.
Last one hr is better though on phone.
