Entry 12

Opposites Attract

It was a rainy day, the roads were busy. On the terrace, she was enjoying the rain dancing and jumping happily. He watched as she danced, the continuous smile plastered on her face was all he wanted to see everyday. As she saw him, she stopped and looked down. As he witnessed this, he took baby steps towards her and stood behind her resting his chin on her shoulder blade wrapping his arms around her. "You look so beautiful while dancing, just like moon in the dark sky, why did you stop?", he complimented her and she blushed feeling his hot breathe on her neck and smiled.

He entwined his hand with hers and kissed her cheek and freed her from his arms still holding her hand and twirled her in the rain, she fell in his arms and he kissed her neck as she blushed. "OK Chandni now let's go inside else we'll catch cold," he said and they went inside. "Adhvay, come down for pooja," his mother called out from downstairs. "Yes mom, coming," he replied. "Chandni, you too go and change OK, then we'll go downstairs together, I will drop you to your house." She frowned. "What happened?", he asked. "I don't have clothes," she gestured him by her body language.

He opened her cupboard and gave her a red saree. "Who does this belong to?", she signed. "I bought it for you only, so no worries, now go else mom will be angry," he said and she went. Chandni was of seventeen years old, she was mute since her birth, she belonged to a middle class family, she and Adhvay fell in love with each other at first sight in childhood, their families had planned to get them married later on, they weren't just lovers but best friends as well, they knew each other in and out.

Adhvay was from a rich family on the other side but all he cared about was love. He had only two purposes in his life, first to give his family the best and second to make Chandni free of complex she had because of her muteness, he cared for her and loved her very much. After the pooja was done, Adhvay's mother distributed prasad among them and as usual Chandni and Adhvay shared it, he ate half and gave the other half to her. He felt good while sharing it with her. He dropped her to her house.

"Who told you to go outside? Don't you know you're not allowed?", her grandmother Sushma shouted on her holding her arm so tightly that she got tears in her eyes. She wasn't ever allowed to go outside as her grandmother and father Manindar thought that she's a curse as she is born mute, only her mother Nimmi and Adhvay cared for her. He heard her shout and stopped on the doorway and went back inside. "Why? Why can't she go outside? She also have a life like you people, I m witnessing all this since my childhood, no one loves her. Why?", he said freeing her arm and her father and mother too came outside.

"She is your granddaughter right? She is daughter of both of you right? Does she really belongs to this family?", he said to her grandmother and parents. "Her mother is alive right now, you don't need to worry about her," her mother said. "I am not feeling tensed for her, I am feeling pity for her, she is not a daughter over here but a prisoner, I will marry her soon and free her from this life of a prisoner, she don't even have freedom of sitting between four people, you didn't even allow her to go school, but I m happy my family fulfilled her wish of studying, " he said angrily.

He felt Chandni's soft grip on his forearm and he looked back. She nodded in negative. "No Chandni, you don't deserve all this, but don't worry, I m there, and I will do what I said," he said kissing her forehead. She hugged him before he went and he hugged her back. Though she couldn't speak, he could understand by her actions that she loves him just like he does. Opposites attract. Actions speak louder then words and her actions said about all the love she had for him. She smiled.

One day, Adhvay got a bad feeling about Chandni in danger. He called her. "Hallo aunty, is Chandni there?," he asked worriedly. "Yes wait, I will call her but dear, you know she can't speak, how will she respond?", asked her mother. "No aunty, you just tell if she's OK or not," he said and she agreed. As she went to her room, she saw an unknown man in her room. "Who are you? What are you doing in my daughter's room?", she shouted. Adhvau heard her shout on the other end of the phone and got worried. He went there.

"Relax aunty, your husband called me for your daughter's treatment, I am a doctor, Dr.Shyaam," he said. Just then, Chandni's father came from behind. "Yes, I called him, I never showed love for her, but I also care for her," he said. "I am happy God shoved some sense in you," she said happily. Adhvay too came there and Chandni's mother told him everything. He got happy on seeing some progress in relationships. The treatment continued for one year and she was getting better with time. In this one year, they even married each other binding their souls together forever.

Two years passed by their marriage. The day came for their anniversary. Adhvay was preparing a surprise for her. She also had a surprise for her. She was looking for something in her cupboard and finally found it and took it in her fist as it was a small thing. She felt her eyes palmed, she startled a little. "Its me, don't worry, I have surprise for you so can't move my hands from your eyes, come on," Adhvay said standing behind her and guided her forward and downstairs. As they reached, he moved his hands from her eyes. On the small table, there rested a couple cake, it was a white rosette cake upon which a couple made of cake cream stood. Chandni smiled seeing the cake. Both the families were present there. They cut the cake and made each other eat first and then their families. "Today, she has also planned a surprise for you, ready?", said Chandni's father. She nodded in positive. She opened her lips and they started moving making a low voice. "Adhvay, th-thank you," she spoke slowly. He couldn't believe his ears, he smiled at everyone. "Chandni, what did you say?", he asked getting closer to her to hear clearly. "Adhvay," she said again in a low voice. He got super happy along with everyone else and hugged her. "Thank you for loving me when I couldn't love myself, I felt weak and never loved myself until you came in my life, I love you," she whispered still in the hug. He smiled again as he heard what he wanted to hear since long. Love isn't by beauty of the face, but by feeling happy by other's happiness, knowing each other in and out without speaking. True love is heart to heart connection between two people, not everyone gets love but the ones who get are the luckiest ones.

Stolen Moment

"I love you Raman."

"I love you too Ishita."

This is a moment when we forget everything when we wants to stop the time. Just wants to get lost in his eyes, we start to make new dreams on our eyelids - to see our future. This is a moment we forget myself to get lost in his eyes. This is a moment when we do live thousands life as if death to come across in the next moment then we do not have any sadness over our life - and this happened with Raman and Ishita.

It had been more than two years when Raman was working in Iyer company as a employee and Ishita often visited the office and there they met for the first time. Though their meeting wasn't goes so well as they started with fighting. But it says, the beginning of each love story is from fight, and in their case its nothing less. Ishita was money minded girl who believed anything she could buy with money but Raman - who knew the importance of money as he struggled to achieve such heights of success. But behind this soft and rough person they had a heart which never listened to them and with their unknown they fall in love but Raman - being the self respected person he tried to keep himself away as he knew he couldn't give her the comfort which she used to... But the end he also lost upon his heart and they confessed their feelings but Raman decided until he get some success, they won't disclose their relationship and that happened and finally the day arrived when he promoted as CEO and they decided to go further. According to it Raman went to Iyer house for Ishita's hand but there Mr Iyer insulted him badly. Raman is orphan and Mr Iyer never allowed him to become their family member and Raman has not so rich person which matters more for him. After getting so much insulted, Raman walked out from their place when his hand entangled with someone - he turned and saw his lady love standing beside him, "I promised you, from today you won't be alone then how could I break my promise? Let's go.. We will make our small world together."

"Ishita.. I..."

"Sshhh.. Lets get married Raman. I don't need anything except you." and she threw herself on him for a bone crunch hug.

"So, Mrs Raman Kumar Bhalla.. Are you ready to see your new house?" Raman asked standing at the door way, she excitedly nodded. Raman pushed the door and Ishita was delighted seeing the apartment. She was going to step in but Raman said, "Stop.. Stop..!"

"What?" She asked confuse.

"Wait here.. I am coming." saying this Raman quickly rushed in, Ishita waited for him when she saw him coming with aarthi thal.

"Raman?" Her eyes filled with tears.

"Well.. All this mother-in-law does but thus I have no one so I am doing it." He did her aarthi and put the rice pot on floor, Ishita walked in but Raman said, "Wait..!" and he scooped her in his arms.

"Raman? What are you doing?"

"Jaan.. I want to keep you close to my heart always." Tears rolled down from her eyes as she could feel his unspoken promises.

Raman walked in and landed her on floor, Ishita was admiring the house whereas Raman kept staring at her when suddenly Ishita said, "Raman its so beautiful.. But..! Isn't so expensive?"

"Not so expensive in front of your beautiful smile." He said cupping her face.

"Raman?"

"I took loan from bank."

That made her furious, "What? Why? Raman.. You resigned from our company and now you took loan? Why did this? I could manage in your previous apartment. No Raman.. You did wrong."

"Ishita..! Listen.." He made her face him, "I know you could manage but I don't want you to get trouble in that small house. See.. I always want to keep you happy."

"But Raman?"

"Sshh.. We will manage together. Right? And tomorrow I have an interview, hopefully I will get some job. So, don't worry and keep smiling always." He said wiping the water drop from her eyelids, "Now give me a hug."

After that, they both saw the apartment, Ishita walked in one bed room when Raman came and back hugged her, "Do you know who's bed room is this?" She shook her head in no..!

"Our babies." He whispered in her ears making her blush.

"Babies??!"

"Yes. I want a boy like me handsome, dashing and a beautiful girl like you." He said making her blush hard.

"Okay.. We will see.. But Raman.. Don't you think this room is small for them? We should give our room to them." Ishita said looking at the room.

"Okay.. Once they will come, we will exchange. Till now lets make our own memories there." saying this he scooped her in his arms and led to their room.

Raman made her lay on the bed and came on top of her, he kissed on her forehead and then on eyes, Ishita wrapped her arms around him, Raman captured her lips gently and soon the kiss turned into passionate one, they explored each other and soon they drown in the pool of love making, the room filled with moans and groans.

Around 6pm, Ishita opened her eyes and saw him sleeping peacefully, she ruffled his hair and kissed on his forehead. "I love you Raman."

"... And I love you too Madrasan." Raman opened his eyes and smiled.

"I thought you are sleeping."

"If I would sleep then I would miss the moment when my beautiful wife was admiring me." Hearing this, she blushed.

"Okay now get up.. I will make some dinner." Ishita said while getting up.

"But we don't have any grocery jaan.." Raman said when it strike on her mind too, she turned at him, "Then?"

"Let's go for dinner. Today we got married, we should celebrate."

"Okay..!" She smiled and went to change.

Ishita wiped a slight food from corner of his lips, "Thank you."

"The food was yummy. Isn't Raman?"

"Yeah.. You know I used to come here with my.." but he stopped, his expressions changed suddenly.

"Raman?"

"I am fine. Lets go."

They were walking on the busy street of Mumbai hand in hand, the walk was silent, Ishita looked at Raman, she could feel he was hurt by something. "Raman?"

"Hmm?" He hummed.

"What happened with your family?" She asked.

"Ishita.. I don't want to talk about my family. Please don't ask anything about them again. From now you are my only family." He said kissing on her knuckle.

"Okay Raman I will not ask you but whenever you feel you can share with me." She said wiping the shed of tears from his eyelids.

Raman turned at Ishita's side and saw her sleeping peacefully but sleep was far away from his eyes, he walked to the window side to breath some fresh air. After a while later Raman heard Ishita calling his name and he turned at the bed and saw her sitting there confused. He walked to her saying, "I couldn't sleep Ishita."

Ishita didn't say anything but opened her arms saying, "Come..!"

Raman crawled to her and rested his head on her lap, she gently caressed his head, suddenly Raman turned at her and hugged her wrapping his arm around her stomach, she could hear his silent sobs.

"Raman..! Sshhh.. Calm down..!" She patted his back to console him.

"Ishita.. I am not orphan.. I have a family, I have my parents, one brother." He said crying. Ishita didn't ask anything but just heard him, "I am elder son of my parents, after three years of my birth Romi born. I and Romi were like friends, we used to play together, eat together. We had done everything together but after a certain of times, things started to change. Romi started to hate me - he most of the time spend with maa papa, I started to neglect by them but I never mind it as whenever maa got time, she used to spend with me. Times passed, Romi's hatred, his insecurity went over to the limit, he didn't let any chance to made me culprit in front of our parents, one day he stole 10,000 from papa's room and kept it in my bag and when papa found it he beat me with the whip but I didn't say anything to them Ishita just because I love my brother, I wanted to win his heart again but I was failed. One day, I, Romi and few of our cousins were playing on the terrace - that time papa recently made our new house so there was no boundaries on the terrace and Romi.. He tried to push me but at the neck of time I moved and Romi's feet slipped.. He.. He was hanging but I held his hand and called papa, he pulled him up but then also the blame was on me.. Papa thought if I would stay with them, Romi's life would be in danger and he send me to the boarding school next day itself. He never visited me, sometimes maa used to visited me there. I never visited home during summer vacations or any kind of holidays, I was there alone and slowly I used with the situation then after finishing schooling, I came back and exactly two days I spend with my family and again papa send me USA for higher studies, after coming back I decided not to go there as everyone got sad once I was around them, I started to live with my friend then one day I got opportunity to work in Iyer company, I accepted. It wasn't that my papa was not rich but I didn't want to join our own company, so I worked there, I lied to your father that I am orphan but somehow it was true because I hardly visited them once in year. Then you came in my life, I informed it to maa first, she was so happy that finally her son get someone who love him but papa didn't accept it as you are not Punjabi that day I asked me to choose anyone - you or my family."

".. And you choose me over them? You love me so much Raman?" She asked crying.

Raman shook his head in no saying, "Because of your love. You know I always craved for the love and I finally got it from you. I had my selfish motive to choose you over them. Please love me this much Ishita that no one ever did to anyone."

Ishita wiped his tears and said, "I loved you, loves you and will always love you like this. My love for you will never lessen up in any situation and I promise you that." and she kissed on his forehead.

Next day, Ishita opened her eyes and saw her beloved husband was sleeping, he was looking so cute. Ishita couldn't resist but kissed on his forehead making him stir in sleep. She looked at the clock and called him, "Raman wake up.. You have an interview. Get up fast, else you will get late."

"Hmm.. Two minutes."

"No two minutes, three minutes.. Get up right now." She sternly said pulling the blanket. Raman sighed and got up.

"Raman.. Raman wait..!" Ishita rushed to him at the door way.

"Now what?"

"Have it." She said showing him a pinch of sugar.

"Sugar? Why?"

"Amma says, before starting a good work, we should have something sweet."

"Really? But according to me, my sweet is something else." He said pulling her by waist.

"No. First you have it." Ishita fed him the sugar then Raman said, "Now can I get mine?" saying this he captured his lips with hers.

Ishita was preparing the dinner when the door bell rang, she went to open the door. As soon as Ishita opened the door, Raman scooped her in his arms and twirled. "Raman what happened?"

"Guess what Madrasan..!"

"You got the job?"

"Yes but not as employee but as CEO."

"Really?" Raman nodded and dropped her on floor, "They impressed seeing my experience so they directly give me the position." Raman took sit on the sofa and took a deep breath, "Now, I hope we don't need to face any financial problem."

"Yes Raman.. I am so happy for you." She hugged him happily.

Time passed like a flow, they were happy in their lives. Six months passed like a flow. It was their six months anniversary, today Raman came back home early than regular, Ishita organised a candle light dinner in house itself, she made his every favourite dishes and they were enjoying the moment when Ishita asked, "Raman can I ask you something?"

"Yes jaan.. You don't need to ask for anything. Go ahead."

"What about babies?" She asked.

"Yes.. I like them." He replied casually.

"Even I know that." She said annoyed as Raman didn't get the point.

"Then?"

"I am asking about our baby." She replied looking into his eyes when Raman looked at her shock, he didn't say anything, Ishita looked down.

"Do you want baby Ishita?" He asked huskily.

"Raman.. I..!" She stammered.

"Yes or no Ishita."

"Yes." She said looking down, "But it's okay if you.." but she paused as she heard him, "Have you gone crazy?"

"I am.." tears rolled out from her eyes and seeing her in tears Raman cupped her face asking, "Hey why are you crying jaan?"

"I asked you something which you don't want now."

Raman sighed, ".. And who told you this? You are crazy because you are telling me now.. All these months I thought you were not ready to take such responsibility, so I never told you for this."

"It means you are ready?" She asked as happy tears rolled down.

"Of course I am.. You know I already many things for our kids." Ishita cried hearing this, "I am sorry, I made you cry." He said and sucked the tear droplets from her cheek.

That night, their love making was different from other days, today they have crossed every boundaries and became one.

Another month passed, on a such day Ishita was sleeping at night when suddenly she felt nauseous, she ran to washroom and vomited until she felt relief and she washed her face and looked at the mirror - it was one of the symptom of pregnancy. Her face beamed with happiness. She walked out from washroom and saw Raman awake, "What happened?" He asked worried. Ishita didn't say anything just hugged him - Raman has sharp brain to understand, he pull her back asking, "Is it true.. What am I thinking?"

"May be but I am not sure." She said blushing.

"We should consult a doctor first.. Wait.. Let me fix an appointment." He was about to call but she stopped saying, "Raman.. Its 2am at night.. We will do it later.. I am not sure yet.. This month bleeding hasn't happen yet. Wait few days.."

"Okay.. But you please take care of yourself." He said placing a soft kiss on her forehead.

Few days passed, sometimes Ishita felt severe pain on her stomach but she neglate it thinking it may happen. She even didn't tell Raman anything, days passed.. On a such day Ishita was alone it house as Raman went to office, suddenly Ishita saw some blood strain on her cloth, she rushed to washroom and saw blood.. She broke into tears thinking she wasn't pregnant, she wash herself and came out and the rest of the day she cried. In the evening, Raman came back home, he got in using the door keys as Ishita didn't open the door, he worriedly walked in and saw her crying, Raman ran to her and hugged her.

"What happened jaan? Why are you crying?"

"Raman.. I am not pregnant." She cried. Raman also felt bad as they both started to dream their future days with kids.

"Ssshh.. Stop crying. So what you are not pregnant.. We will try again." Raman said cupping her face.

"I am sorry Raman.." She hugged him.

From the next day they started to live normal though Ishita pretend to be happy but Raman could read her eyes - he too was helpless. Another month passed away, on such day Raman arranged a dinner to spend time with her, to cheer her up and the very next day, Ishita was preparing breakfast when suddenly she felt pain in her stomach, "Raman..!" She called him crying.

Soon they reached hospital, doctor examined her and came to her cabin where Raman was waiting restlessly, seeing the doctor Raman rushed to her, "Doctor.. Ishita? How's she? What happened?"

"Mr Bhalla.. First you have a sit please." She calmly said.

"Mr Bhalla.. Ishita might come anytime, can you meet me after dropping her home safely?" The doctor asked, Raman worriedly looked at her, "Is anything serious doctor? What happened to her?"

"Mr Bhalla.." just then Ishita walked in so doctor, "Don't worry.. Everything is fine.. Its just food poison.. She will be fine. I prescribing her some medicines."

Raman didn't ask further, he left with Ishita and dropped her home safely. "Jaan I have an important meeting. I will come after an hour. You take care. Okay?" She shook her head and he kissed on her forehead before leaving.

Raman walked in doctor's cabin, doctor greeted, "Have a sit."

"What happened with Ishita doctor?" Raman directly asked.

"Mr Bhalla.. I don't know whether I am sure or not.. But..!"

"But what doctor? Please don't hide anything from me."

"I think Mrs Bhalla is suffering from leukemia."

Hearing this floor slipped under his feet, "You are joking. This can't happen."

"I understand Mr Bhalla its not easy for you to believe."

"You are talking about my wife, damn it.." Raman banged his fist on the table.

"Mr Bhalla.. Its not time to get hyper. See..! I send her blood for tests, once I get it, I will be sure whether I am right or wrong. Wait.. Let me check is the test done or not." saying this she called someone and after a while later the nurse walked in the cabin with the report on her hand. The doctor checked it and looked at Raman who was waiting impatiently. "It's leukemia."

Raman broke into tears, "Ishita? Doctor.. Please do something. I am ready to take her anywhere, please don't let anything happen with my wife." Raman begged.

"Mr Bhalla.. Its too late."

Raman looked at her shocked, "What do you its too late. You are a doctor damn it. How can you give up so easily?"

"It's her last stage, she hardly has two months."

"NO..! You are lying. I will take her to the best doctor, my Ishita can't leave me like this. No.. I won't let it happen. NO..!" Raman said loosing all his control on himself.

"No doctor can do anything. I am suggesting one cancer specialist. Visit him.. And I am sorry." She handed him a card, Raman didn't say anything and took leave.

He was on his way to the clinic to visit the doctor when he saw Ishita calling, her smiling face flashed on the screen, Raman's eyes filled with tears, he parked the car aside and cried vigorously. He saw she was calling him constantly, Raman wiped her tears and received the call.

"Raman? Where are you? I am getting bore alone."

Raman pressed his lips to control his emotions, "Yes jaan.. I am on meeting. I will come after a while."

"Please come soon."

"Hmm..!" He hang up the call and cried.

"It's too late Mr Raman. If we start her chemotherapy from next week, then may be she can live another month but not more than that."

Raman broke into tears. "Mr Raman, you have to be strong."

"How will I say her? She is dreaming about our future life, how can I say her that she has less time." Raman cried.

"You have to do it Mr Raman.. Before we start her chemotherapy, she need to know about her health issues because during the phase she may see changes in her body."

"I need some time doctor, please." Raman said.

"Sure..!" Raman took leave from there, he drive to the beach side. Raman walked on the sand recalling their marriage, their life which they spend together and now the news, he broke on his knees crying vigorously. Another one hour passed and he didn't move from his place, he has no strength to face her - what he will say to her..! He can't say this and she is not so strong to accept it. Raman was in dilemma when his phone rang, seeing her call, he received.

"Raman? Is everything fine with you?" She directly asked making him scare.

"Yes.. Whats wrong?"

"No. You didn't call me since morning and its around 8pm and you didn't come back. You never done it before so I thought.."

"No jaan. I am coming." His voice choked.

"Raman? Are you crying?"

He cleared his throat and composed himself, "No.. Why should I cry? Jaan.. I am driving, I will reach soon. Take care and I love you."

"I love you too."

He hang up the call and again fresh tears rolled out from his eyes. But no..! He need to be strong, he has to take care of her. Raman wiped his eyes and drive back to home.

Raman was standing at the door way, he composed himself and pressed the door bell. Ishita opened the door smiling, "Why did you take so long?"

"I am sorry."

"It's okay, I know you might be busy somewhere. Anyways you go and freshen up. I will serve dinner for you." Raman shook his head with a slight smile. He walked in the room and throw the file and walked in washroom, he again gave into tears when he recalled he throw the medical file on bed. He splashed water on his face few more time and walked out. Raman quickly grabbed the file and searched for a safe place to hide when he heard her footsteps, he quickly hide it in wardrobe.

"What are you hiding?" She asked making him shock.

"No.. Nothing.. I.. I was just taking my shirt."

Ishita laughed seeing him sweating, "You are sweating as if you caught red handed." Raman smiled and saw her smiling face, "Keep smiling always jaan." Ishita noticed Raman's weird behaviour but she avoided, they had dinner together and then slipped into bed. Ishita was sleeping, resting her head on his chest.

"Raman? You okay no?

"Yes. Why you asked so?"

"No.. We were trying but nothing worked, I didn't get pregnant. I don't know what's wrong happening with my health."

"It's okay jaan." He said controlling his tears.

"It's good from one side, I can spend time with you now but once the baby arrive, my entire time will be with him." Ishita said looking up at him when she saw a glint of tear in his eyes.

"What happened?" She asked worried.

"Nothing."

"Raman.. Will you listen to me once?" Raman flicked his eyebrow, "Go and meet mummyji papaji once. You know today I watched a movie where to unknown the girl was suffering in some disease and left the boy alone forever. Who knows, the same happen with me.. I don't want you to live alone after me."

"Shut up Ishita." Raman pushed her angrily, "Stop watching such cheap movies."

"Raman.. I.." Ishita was dumbstruck as Raman never behaved in such way, he too realised he was being rude, he looked at her and pulled her for a hug, "I am sorry. I don't mean it. Why you talk about death and all? You know I don't like it."

"I am sorry Raman. I don't mean to hurt you. Don't worry I won't leave you ever." She said smiling.

"Promise?" He asked forwarding his hand to her, she kept her hand with a shook.

Two days passed, Raman didn't say her anything. On such day, Ishita was sitting in room and thought to clean the wardrobe, she took out the clothes and everything when she saw her medical file, she curiously opened it and read them. As soon as she read the word LEUKEMIA, she collapsed on floor, she checked the number and dialed.

"Hello? Dr. Khurana speaking."

"Doctor.. I.. I am Ishita Bhalla speaking."

"Oh, Mrs Bhalla.. How's your health now?"

"Doctor.. What's happening to me?" Ishita asked.

"Ugh.. Mrs Bhalla.." The doctor stammered.

"Doctor I read my medical history. So, don't lie to me. Tell me is it true?"

"Yes..!"

Things started spinning in her mind, "How much time I have..?"

"Hardly two but if you do chemotherapy then..!" But the doctor paused as he heard Ishita, "No.. I have much things to do. I have to finish them.. And yeah..! Please don't say about this phone call to my husband, I will deal it in my way." saying this she hang up the call and cried for hours, she recalled Raman's weird behaviour in these days.

Raman walked in the bedroom and saw neat and clean, today he decided to say he everything. Raman opened the wardrobe to take the file but it was missing, Raman became restless, he started finding it everywhere but didn't find it when Ishita walked in calmly, seeing her he tried to calm his nerve down when Ishita forward the file, Raman looked at her shocked, "You are searching for it no?"

"Ishita?"

"What you thought, you could able to hide this from me?"

Raman collapsed on the floor crying, "I am sorry Ishita. I hide this but I had no courage to face it. I am sorry."

Ishita's eyes filled with tears but she composed herself and bend on her knees, she hugged him tightly and patted his back to console him. After a while later, Raman parted from her and looked at her dumbstruck - she was so calm.

"Raman..! I don't want to go through some chemotherapy procedure. We both know this is incurable disease and we have to face it. Raman I have less time in my hand, and I have many wishes to do. I want to live each moment Raman.. with you." She said taking his hand in hers.

"No Ishita.. If you go through the procedure, you can live few more times."

"Can you assure me?" She asked when Raman had no words to say, "No right..? It's only 5% to recover and if I agreed.. My half days passed on the bed only, I don't want to live like this Raman. Please Raman.. Don't force me to accept it. I never asked you anything in these years.. May be god also wants me to ask you this one from you. Please..!" She pleaded.

"It's not easy for me jaan.."

"Even not for me. I never thought, I would leave you like this but I can't help it. Now all I want to spend time with you, to relive the moments again. Please..! Okay.. If I fulfill any three of my wish, I will go through the procedure. I promise."

Days passed, Raman tried to spend his maximum time with her, he didn't let her work, always ask her to take rest. During office time, Raman called her every hour to ask about her health and remind her about her medicines, though sometimes Ishita got irritated but she never complained as she knew he loves her so much so he cared for her. On the weekend they were sitting together in their bedroom when Ishita said, "Raman.. Tomorrow is sunday. Can we go somewhere?"

"Where you want to go?"

"To the orphanage home..!" She replied instantly, Raman agreed.

Next morning, Ishita walked out from washroom and saw Raman still sleeping - tears made their way from her eyes, Ishita sat beside him and caressed his hair, "Raman I want to live more, I don't want to go away from you." She had no words to say, she kissed on his forehead and took leave from there when Raman opened his eyes, tears fall down from corner of his eyes - he never felt so helpless. Its too tough to see his love going away from each passing day.

"Raman shall we go?" Ishita asked walking in the room, Raman saw her and mesmerised seeing her - she was dressed in a white and blue net saree. She flicked her eyes, Raman shook his head and they took leave.

Raman was watching her as she was playing with the kids, she was enjoying with them and that brought smile on his face. "I wish I could stop the time here." he thought and clicked her photo, just then Ishita called him. They spent the entire day with them, finally came back home exhausted.

"Finally my one wish came true. Now I have no complain with god that he didn't give me time to conceive. Today I got the love from the kids which a mother always craved. Thank you for taking me there Raman." She hugged him happily.

"So now your one wish complete.. Two more left. You remember your promise?" Ishita shook her head.

Another week passed, on this weekend they went out to have some time together, both were sitting at the sea beach. They were staring at the sun which is reconciled with the sea. "One day I will also passed away just like the sun." Ishita said thoughtful. "But you know what is the bad thing.. Once the night passed away, the sun again arrive but I won't come again. But yes.. I will always be with you.. Just like Sun.. Though we can't see the sun at night but its light is with us through the moon. Like this I will be always there with you, whenever you feel alone just come under the open sky, you can see me."

"Ishita, stop saying all this please." Ishita looked at Raman who had tears in his eyes, "I never knew my husband is so weak." She hugged him tightly.

Days passed,

One day Ishita decided to visit her family and also Raman's but she wasn't sure whether he would agree or not, so she just talk about her family to Raman and they went there on another weekend. Though the meeting wasn't good at start, Mr Iyer lashed on Raman once again and insulted him but Ishita protested, he disclosed his identity - not being any orphan, she even disclosed her illness and everyone shattered but Ishita pacified them.

"Appa.. When I myself leaving you all then why this hatred? Can't you both join hands together? I want to see you both happy. Appa I love you the way I love him, can't you accept him for me?" Ishita cried when Mr Iyer gave in and apologized to Raman, he too apologized and Ishita hugged them together.

Once they returned to home, Raman asked, "Why are you doing all this Ishita?!"

"I am giving you the reason to live after me." She said with a smile, "I know you will stop taking care of yourself but you have to live for them. You have to take care of amma appa, they have no one except me. Promise me you will become their son, promise me you will visit them once in week, you will spend one day with them and will take care of them as well as yours." Raman closed his eyes tightly, as much as he tried to run away from the fact, Ishita always remind him the bitter fact. He shook his head. "No I want to hear it from your mouth."

"I promise you."

The one month passed, now Ishita's health detained in each passing day, most of the time Raman spend with her, he took care of her each single thing. Her life stopped behind the four walls.

"Raman.. I am feeling suffocated. Can you please take me out for some time?!" She demanded.

"Okay.."

Raman protectively held her in his arms and they walked at the sea beach when Raman sensed her heavy breath, he made her sit on some nearby rock. Ishita looked at the sun which is setting down, "Raman.. I have one last wish. Will you do it?"

"What?"

"I want to meet your family."

"Ishita you know..!" But he was stopped as she requested, "Please.. For me.."

"I will try. Now lets go home. You should take rest.

They were on their way to home when suddenly Ishita felt so restless, she asked, "Raman can you please turn off the AC? I want to breathe some fresh air."

"Sure..!" He then looked at her who was sweating, "Ishita are you fine?"

"Yeah.. I am fine. Don't worry..!"

Though Raman wasn't convinced with her reply, "No.. I don't think you are fine, let's go to the doctor."

"Raman?" But I he glared at her, she had no strength to argue with him. Raman take a U- turn, they were on their way to hospital when Ishita's health started to detained, Raman got worried, he parked the car aside, "Ishita? What has happened? Tell me?"

"Raman.." She felt difficult to breathe.

"Yes tell me.. Are you feeling pain anywhere?"

"Wa.. Water..!" He quickly took the bottle from back seat and made her drink but nothing worked. Ishita was panting hard, Raman couldn't see her like this, he dialed doctor's number who asked him to admit her immediately.

"Ishita, don't worry.. We will reach hospital soon." He drive away.

Soon Raman admitted her in hospital and informed her family who arrived there within an hour. Raman was pacing restlessly in the corridor. He recalled their moments - Ishita's smiling face only appeared in his eyes. Raman recalled how Ishita requested him to visit his family, Raman called his family and asked them to come at hospital for once, though Mr Bhalla didn't agree but when he listened his son crying, he also gave up.

Raman was waiting outside when doctor walked out from ICU, Raman ran to him asking, "Doctor how's Ishita?" But the doctor didn't say anything, Raman realised what could happen, he started shaking and about to loose his balance when doctor held him.

"Raman.. I told you both to start her chemotherapy but Ishita didn't listen to us both. Now she has very less time in her hand. Go and meet her for the last time. She is calling you inside." The doctor said patting his shoulder, Raman had no strength to stand even, he asked Iyers to visit. Raman was sitting there shocked, how could his love left him so easily, they promised to stay together always - Raman had no expression on his face, he was sitting there like a statue when Bhalla's arrived, seeing there soon in such state, they also broke down.

"Raman?" Toshiji cried pulling him for a hug, just then Mr Iyer walked out and approached to Raman saying, "Raman.. Ishu is calling you inside."

Raman walked in with his shaky legs, she saw her lying with closed eyes. Raman walked to her. Feeling his presence, Ishita opened her eyes and smiled, he pressed his lips on her forehead showing all his love for her. "You know who has came to see you?" He turned at the door when Bhalla's walked in, "Maa, papa and Romi.." Ishita smiled.

They all seek forgiveness from Ishita when Ishita removed her oxygen musk, "Ishita?" Raman was about to stop her but she said, "Raman.. I am fine, I have less time, please don't stop me."

Ishita looked at Mrs Bhalla, "Mummyji.. Papaji one day I snatched Raman from you, may be that's why god punish me this way.. That I can't stay with him, with you all. If possible please forgive me." She said taking deep breath. "Romi.. Your brother is very nice person, he loves you a lot please don't hate him." Romi had tears in his eyes seeing his brother crying, Ishita signed him to come near to her, Once Romi came to her, Ishita took his hand as well as Raman's and kept Romi's hand on Raman's hand saying, "Please Romi.. Take care of your bhai after me."

"Ishita please stop saying all this, you are not going anywhere. Do you understand?" Raman yelled with tears in his eyes.

"Mummy ji.. Papa ji.. Please take care of him." Ishita requested, everyone cried, just then one nurse walked in and saw the crowd, she asked them to leave the room and put the oxygen musk on her mouth but Ishita removed it saying, "Let me talk to my family for the last time."

Once Bhalla's took leave from the room, Ishita looked at Raman who was crying vigorously. "Don't go Ishita."

"Even I don't want to go away from you but I am helpless, I have to go. But.. But you promise me after my death, you will live your life."

"No.. You are not going anywhere, you know I can't live without you Ishita."

"Won't you call me jaan?" She asked with heavy breath when Raman shook his head in no, "My Jaan is going away leaving her Raman alone."

Ishita cried and her pulse started dropping, she started to take heavy breath, "Raman.. I.. Can you do me one last thing for me? I have very less time."

Raman took her hand in his and kissed on her knuckle with a nod, "Hold me tight.. near to your heart Raman. I want to take my last breath on your arms, please..!" saying this she opened her arms, Raman didn't say anything and he hugged her tightly, "Don't go jaan, please don't go.."

"I.. I.. I love you Raman.. I love you so much, don't forget me." and she loosen her grip from his back and the machine beeped, Raman realised it and parted from her, he closed her eyes and kissed on her forehead, "I love you too jaan.." and he broke into tears.

After Ishita's funeral, Raman walked in the apartment, now no one waiting for him there, no one came to hug him once he walked in, Raman walked in their bedroom where they had their many beautiful moments - he started to feel suffocated, after she came in his life, he never thought to live a single moment without her and now he have to his life without her but with her memories. Raman collapsed on floor crying when he remembered once Ishita said, if he wants to meet her just came under the open sky, Raman immediately took leave from there.

He was running at the beach side crying and he stumbled on a rock and fall on sand, he shouted, "ISHITA..!!!"

"Raman?" He saw a blur vision, someone coming to him, he cleared his eyes and saw her standing there with a smile, "Ishita..?"

Ishita bend down on her knees, "Ishita? You are fine. Let's go back." He held her hand but she stopped him, "Raman.. I have gone far away from me, I can't go back. But I had to come for you.."

"Why did you leave me?"

"Who told you I left you?" She said cupping his face, "I am here only... near to your heart. My love will be with you always. You have to keep our love alive, from now.. I will see this world through your eyes, I will live each moment through you. Now stop crying.. My Raman is not so weak. Raman promise me, you will live.. You won't live like this, Raman.. Ishita chuckled and ruffled his hair saying, "You know no.. I already stole this moment from God, now I have to go. My world is waiting for me. Go.. Raman.. Go back to your world." She said as tears rolled out from her eyes but Ishita composed herself and turn him around, "Now don't turn back, my swear to you." Now Raman didn't turn back and started to walk when Ishita also turned back and reconciled in the sea.
