was a small hall walkway after the front verandah, and then a big

an old fruitless mango tree a wood shed, and two cement water tanks."</font>
I was transported to the Konkan backdrop - house set in the coconut/palm tree settings with a battered old red roof on a cloudy, monsoon evening. I can vividly picturize the scene. Brilliant!
Reading this made me feel so nostalgic about my native ancestral house - the thoons (pillars) in the living room, the huge doors which needed atleast two of us (in cousin gang) to open, the mutham open to the sky where we used to play with the water in the tank and fool around when it rains, the open toilet (which i dreaded) that was set way back behind the mattu thozhuvam (cattle shed). I would hang on my chithi's shoulder </font><font size="3" face="Times New Roman, Times, serif"><font size="3" face="Times New Roman, Times, serif">trying to get a peek of the peacock and peahens would fly in the morning behind the mattu thozhuvam !!
Thank you Nisha ⭐️⭐️⭐️
