I am following this since day 1.. However that hunger which we have for sosy updates was missing... But after last 3 updates you got me hooked Nisha...

Sosy ke pehle wale din yaad aa rahe hain mujhe. Jahan main uchal uchal ke maang thi thi updates aur Author Sahiba meri maange poori kar deti thi!

Chicken or Fish?

She left the ladle on the floor and picked up the phone with fishy hands

"Haan Saturday ko measurement dekar aayi" she said
Hindi coming to her rescue

"I was supposed to and forgot" he said

"U were busy no!" she spoke colloquial English

"I am sorry for disturbing u" he said

"Arey kuch bhi nahi... I was making dinner"
To him it sounded like she would say "Deener" in her thick Marathi accent

"Whats for dinner?" he asked

"Aaap nahi kha sakte" "Pandit hain na" she explained why he cant eat to HIM

Aadhya asked a question, when he didnt respond, she left the phone in the
kitchen and jumped over the ladle and went to check on her daughter, Tai peeked and saw the ladle and splatter

Before Tai could peek into her phone, Suvi was back with Aadhya in her arms

"Uffoo!! Aai" Aadhya pretended to scold Suvi like Suvi scolded her

Suvi kissed her cheek hard

"Aapan khopara ghalun nahi?" Aadhya asked like a lil chef (did u add coconut or not?)

"Hoye mee kele aayi" Suvi kissed her many many times (yes I did mother!!)

Aadhya giggled heartily as she sat on the counter

Suvi forgot about the text, she cleaned the floor cooked rice, fed her daughter back in the AC of the bedroom
Tai had served herself almost 2/3rds of what she had made with a bit of rice

Suvi ate all of the leftovers hungrily, deciding to eat in the cafeteria at lunch,
or eat kulche chholey from a hawker, for a change not worrying about what Tai will eat at lunch

When she tidied the kitchen and put everything away she checked her phone at 11:07 PM

"Chicken or fish?" he had asked a SECOND after her admonishment


"Fish" Suvi texted with a fish emoji, at 11:09 pm


"Is that your favorite?" he asked


"Aapko kaise khabar padi?" she asked like a Mumbaiya

"U used a picture" he said

Suvi went to the balcony and stood staring at couples walking hand in hand,
husbands buying Walls ice cream for wife, cycle rickshaws parked alongside society compound walls, the
rickshaw walas curling up on the cramped back seat, praying for a full night sleep while hoping to be woken up to go to a midnight hospital run or something

The weather pretended to cool down a bit, she felt a whiff of breeze and a steamy fragrance of jeera rice from the neighbors across, their
kitchen was perpendicular to her balcony.

She realized she hadnt asked him what he ate or if he ate already

She looked at her phone, it was 11:29 PM

Something told her she shouldnt attempt to get too close to him, afterall
he was her boss, she longingly glimpsed at a newly wed feed each other ice cream by teh Walls cart, as she shut the balcony door and went to bed

He sat flipping TV channels pausing on cricket the longest

Intermittently looking at his phone wondering if she was going to ask him what he ate for dinner...

. The clamor for updates is picking up.
Quite a few of us are deeply deeply invested and want both SoSy and ID everyday.
Few of us on the button promptly notifying SoSy pages whenever there's an update.

There's a new story , there's the author officially in Lou with it now and there's us. Let's roll and this book reading session will be equally fun.
