Chapter 6

"Are you dating him?" Archana, Taani's mother asked her when her daughter told her about the movie plan and ask for her permission.

"Mom, We are not dating. He is my friend, just a friend." Taani replied, rolling her eyes at her mother's non-possessive behavior. She had expected her mother to deny her straight away but instead, her mother was asking cheesy questions about Rey.

"Okay! But you like him, Right?" Archana asked her again, her lips curved into a smile when she noticed fain pinkish shade adoring her cheeks. She can understand her daughter's silence.

"Mom! What had gotten into you? Instead of warning me to stay away from him like usually parents do, you are asking all these?" Unable to keep her curiosity to herself, taani asked her mother.

"Well, It's first time when my daughter is asking me to go out with a guy, I'm quiet excited you know, finally my daughter is growing up. And I trust you then why should i ask you to stay away from him, moreover I know him too, he is my friend's son, I trust him to take care of you." Archana explained it to her, Cupping her face in her palm. Taani smiled hearing her mother, the trust she showed made her heart burst with happiness.

"Thank you, Mom! You are the best! I love you so much-" Taani squealed as she wrapped her arms around him and hugged her tightly.

"I love you too, sweetie. Now, come with me, I'll help you in choosing a perfect dress for your date." Archana said to her, she broke the hug and walked over her closet and started looking through all the dresses of her daughter.

"Mom, It's not a date. His friend's are also coming."

"Whatever it is. You need to look good all the time when you are going out with the guy you like." Archana answered her back, her eyes widen as she stare at her mother in shock, wondering how she knows, but again, she is her mother, she knows her inside out.

He stare at her with slightly open mouth as she stepped out of her house, dresses in cute dress, looking so beautiful that he forgot to blink.

"You are looking..WOW" Rey breathed, she giggled softly seeing his expressions.

"You are looking 'wow' too, Rey." Taani mumbled, looking at him from head to toe, which broke his trance. He ran his hand through his hair in embarrassment of getting caught.

"You are looking very beautiful, taani." Rey mumbled softly, giving her one of his best smile. Crimson red spread across her cheeks while a shy smile touched her cheeks.

"Thank you."

"Lets go, My friends will meet us directly there." Rey said to her, he held his hand out for her, taani bit her lower lip as she placed her hand in his. Her heart was beating loudly against her ribcage in anticipation as they drove away to movie theater. She was quiet excited to spend her evening with him.
