Chapter 52
Anger coursing through his veins while staring at the couple sitting in-front of him. The thought of taking them his taani away had the devil in him out for hunt. Swayum could feel the tension building up in the room, he glance at his best friend, could see rage in his eyes.
"What do you guys want?" Swayum questioned them, The couple look at each other then at him before Anuj Shekhawat, taani's father's brother answer.
"Taani! We want her back, she is my brother's daughter and we have been searching for her from years." Anuj said to Rey, his tone was stern and had honesty but Rey was too angry to listen or see anything, the only thing he knew that he wasn't going to let them take her away from him.
"You cant take her. She is 18 & my wife. Uncle or not, but you have no right over her." Rey answered them, the couple look at each other for a brief moment then back at him.
"No! We don't believe this? You must have forced her for this marriage. After all, we all know how manipulative Reyaansh singhania is-" Anuj's wife, seema snarled at him. The couple was sure testing his patience. He glared at them with rage visible in his bronze visage.
"And she is just a kid, doesn't know what is good for her." Anuj completed his wife's sentence. Ray let out a sarcastic laugh, confusing the couple.
"If its like that, then we will talk to her directly and end this matter" Rey state confidently, he already knew his taani's answer to this. Anuj & Seema look at each other then at him, they thought it will be easy for them to convince taani and turn her against rey by emotional blackmail.
"And it will happen infront of our lawyers, I don't want any problem in future." Rey continued further, and smirked when he saw their shocked expressions, he was sure that they hadn't expected this.
"Alright. We will meet tomorrow afternoon." Anuj confirmed, he & his wife got and left from there.
"What the hell was that, Rey? How can you be so sure that taani will choose you?" Swayum questioned him fiercely, Rey look at him then let out a throaty chuckle.
"I have faith in our relation, Swayum. Our relation is not that weak, she might act immature, childish at times but always know what she wants." Rey answered him, confidence radiating off of his voice. Rey got up and walked out of his cabin, swayum followed him behind, trusting Rey's decision.

Taani was feeling sleepy so she went in her room to take a small nap while sharon was busy with her cell phone when Rey & Swayum entered the house.
"Sharon, Where is taani?" Rey asked her as he settled on the couch opposite to her.
"Your princess is taking a nap. She was tired, I guess you guys had fun last night-" Sharon teased him. Rey shook his head but couldn't stop the smile that was forming up on his lips.
They talked for some time before sharon & swayum left for their home to get ready for the reception party, and rey walked upstairs in his room. His lips curved into a smile when he saw him wife sleeping on their bed, cuddling with his pillow. He walked over the bed and sat beside her slipping form. He stroke her hair gently, he couldn't refrain himself from bending down and place a sweet kiss on her forehead.
Feeling his touch, her eyes fluttered open and she look at him with sleepy cute smile.
"Get up, sleeping beauty. We have to get ready for the party-" Rey said to her as he helped her to sit on the bed and pulled her in his arms. Taani buried her face in his chest and wrapped her arms around her.
"Where were you?"
"I went to attend a meeting with swayum." Rey lied, not wanting to spoil their evening by telling her about her claimed-to-be uncle-aunt. Taani hummed in response.
"Rey, what will i wear in today's party?" Taani asked him suddenly realizing she doesn't have perfect outfit for the occasion.
"I have got perfect dress for you." Rey said to her making her look at him with happiness twinkling in her.
"Really?"
"Really, kitten. Come, I''ll show you." Rey said to her, he got up and walked toward the closet while she followed him, smiling brightly as she loves the dresses he brings for her. She loves to see herself in the outfits chosen by her love.
Rey opened the closet door and took out a purple colored box from inside.
"Your dress & jewelery, Taani." Rey said as he handed her the box. Taani grinned ear to ear and she walked over the bed, keeping the box on the bed, she opened the box and found a beautiful purple colored dress with matching diamond jewelery.
"This is so pretty, Rey. Thank you!" Taani beamed in happiness, she turned to him and hugged him tightly, expressing her happiness. Rey buried his face in crook of her neck, her happiness matters to him the most and being the reason behind her smile, gives immense pleasure to him.

Taani got ready and stood before him with shy smile playing on her lips. Rey look at her from head to toe, and fell for her all over again. She was looking an angel descended down from heaven for him. He cupped her face in his palms and kissed her forehead gently.
"My little wife is looking so beautiful. Prettiest girl on the plant." Rey whispered in his low husky tone causing her to go all red under his penetrating gaze.
"You are looking very handsome, just like a prince charming-" Taani complimented him innocently.
"My Prince Charming." Taani squealed happily as she wrapped her arms around him and hugged him tightly. Rey smiled at her, he drop a kiss on her head and hugged her back.
Then left for their reception party together.
