"Not really, I assure you a million Iy, u know women trained in Carnatic probably sing better than me" she giggled
"Did u get formal training?"
"Ya, since, I mean for 24 years" she made a face
"OH WOW! OH WOW" he stared stunned "i dont even know what it is to be able to get trained on something for 24 years"
"Its easy, if your parents drag, carry, tie u up and throw u in the car, stand guard outside the teacher's house, deny food, or tv, or new clothes, its very easy" she said with a straight face
He looked terrified at first and then burst out laughing
A couple people turned towards them
"U were kidding?" he asked gasping
She nodded, sending her emerald jhumkas into a back and forth tap dance
"Sadly I wasnt" she smiled her eyes twinkling
"U are funny and you sing beautifully" he said in awe
"And I can eat without a bib, only sometimes" she set her plate down and smudged a spot with tissue
"I dont think I have met you" she smiled
"I am a junior clerk at Sehgal Bhattacharya" he said casually, as if she knew everything about them
"A lawyer that looks like a soldier?" she smiled
"When u can be a singer that can look like a go(goddess?)" he stopped, his face turning serious, admiring her all over again
"What is a Junior clerk?"
"A guy that carries their case reports, books and their robes to court" he tried to be funny like her
"Oh" she nodded
"But seriously, it ranges from, helping clients select the right lawyer, planning their
appointments around case dates, negotiationg fees, planning the collection of fees, maintaining an
awareness and understanding of key cases, u know like this one" he gesticulated lifting his plate up briefly.
"So they will send u after us if we dont pay?" she smiled
"They are not always so beautiful though" HE HIT ON HER FOR THE SECOND TIME
II squirmed looking down at her plate
"Where did u go to Law School?" she asked

"Do u like Delhi?" she asked
"I LOVE IT" he said with a wideee grin
"Are u working on the case too?" he asked eagerly
"No I am just helping run some benchmark data, because the attorneys on the other side seem to be coming up with
some totally ridiculous allegations for theyr should be based on unverified sources of published data" she explained breathlessly
"Unbelievable" he said shocked

"I HAD no idea I was going to meet someone " "U know..., work together I mean" he fumbled again
"I mean u lied... u ARE involved in the case" he said conclusively
"Didnt they say, u cant win an argument with a lawyer?"
