She returned after practice they ate together, and she took a tiny steel cup and spoon with her they sat in the balcony with the coolers on, she showed how to tap the spoon inside and outside the cups and showed her how the sounds changed

Lasya wanted to do it but couldnt grip the spoon, she shut her eyes when II tapped,

Manya & Vik ate out tonight, II and R&B were the newly weds but they ate out once in 3 months, Manya and Vik were rarely home

When Ranjan suggested a couple times "U shud go out to eat" he suggested again tonight, the men ate II served holding the baby

"Eating at home... here I mean they make such good food its like eating out... I like street food Dad I dont like fancy food much" she said sheepishly

"Ek din dhaabe le chalenge aapko" he promised

"Not too spicy but my Iyer belly is weak" she chuckled

"Chaliye woh bhi theek" he nodded joyously

"I dont even have to cook in this house unless I want to so this is like a picnic for me,
when Amma went to Madurai Akka's house will be this way, or some evenings Appa will come home early and make lemon rice or pulao" she reminisced

"Khaana kam banaate ho aap" he smiled

"I am lazy, the youngest, so I got pampered, by Appa, Amma doesnt... she made me cook two nights a week however busy I was, not weekend nights but
weeknights, she would say "this is EXACTLY how returning from work after wedding will be" II said

"But its not" she said with gratitude "Food's cooked the bed's made the laundry's folded too, unless I tell them not to fold it"
"I dont miss that stuff much Dad"(eating out etc)

"Lekar jao puttar isko" he insisted to R&B

"Ive suggested, she likes to wander" he half smiled

"Nayi biwi chahe kahe na mann mein muraad rehti hai betaji, usko poori karo, ab nahi karegi 15 saal baad karegi?" Ranjan argued

"I am fine Dad, I just want to play with her every night"

"Apne karo fatafat, saara din khel lena, basss" he said satisfied

"umm.. I" II began

"Naukri career.. promotion, taraqqi, sab hoye bhi na, tey hove, koi gall nahi, puttar, bache honey chaide ne" (u must have kids no matter what)

"Gudiya ko dekho, aapko kinna pyaar kardi si" (how much does Ms Lumpy love u)

II smiled

"I was planning to eat her for dinner" II chuckled

"Oye shabaash" he laughed heartily

"Yeh vi, woh dono vi ekdum golu (in childhood)... teri Ma, ekdum dubli iski tarah (as adults)" he pointed to his son

Father and son stared at each other for the longest time

Ranjan let go first. They both realized there was only a finite number of interactions eye locks, instrospections, casual exchanges left
He didnt know when his son was leaving. Like sunshine and moonlight they couldnt coexist
He was Ranjan's sunshine and moonlight😭😳

Dard halqa hai
Saans bhaari hai
Jiye Jaane ki rasm jaari hai
Aapke baad har ghari humne aapke saath hi guzaari hai😭

II nodded her eyes glistening...
She went into the kitchen opened the frig and stared into the cold shelves... the cool draft giving the baby chills
She shut and stared at the sparkling stainless steel door...

"Bhabhiji hum nikaal dein?" Minion asked politely

She turned to him tears flowing freely

The man quickly looked away, hiding the fact that he was breaking down too


Ranjan sat in the sun room, they played with lasya, R&B went up to talk with his agent (she will know later)

Ranjan yawned a couple times...

"I am going to make sure u are locked up in ur room" she ordered

He smiled "Changa masternee"
The baby squirmed, Sofia made her bottle... it was warm, she fed the baby, burped her took her FIL to bed and went up

"I have my reservation" he said standing IN HER SPOT by the doorway, holding the rich silky folds with his left hand, as Lasya waved the spoon

"Oh?" "umm" "Oh!!" she said dropping the steel cup spontaneously😭

Really nice updates nisha loved the way mami and lasya interacted and mama joined them later.

Shru I was really not fishing for compliments by that self deprecating remark yaar. Arshi frequently feels the leads dont "communicate".
In jest or what I dont know😆 I was telling her "This is the best I can do"

I bet there are many super talented authors out there who can make the leads communicate every step of the way

As an author I feel too much talking takes away the essence, the mystery the intrigue the mojo of the story if a story has to be written for for a long time 1000 chapters?😉 or more too much talking guts the theme.

I fimrly believe in subtle invisible revelations and discoveries.
