Sandhya, this res is for your amazing story telling skills.
********************************************************************************
Sandhya, I am feeling bad that I did not follow your Dawn, noon and dusk instead I read it once it was totally completed. The reason I am saying this is, when one is reading a completed story, we tend to concentrate on the bigger picture and lose sight of the smaller hidden gems in the story. .
Having said that I am so glad that I am following this story and after reading each update atleast 2-3 times, I get a feeling that with each update I am discovering a valuable gem hidden in it.
This update just blew me away. What a deja vu kind of situation it was for both Arnav and Khushi.
The same place, the same feeling of being lost for one and looking for the lost one for the other, life indeed came a full circle for these two today.
The rational adult in her said knew it was an occurrence that was as normal as the sunrise and sunset, for the wildflowers always blossomed immediately after monsoons. The child in her had a different theory. She was sure that it was Anjali's way of welcoming her.
What is troubling you? Why haven't you moved on from that place, the very spot where I left you twenty years ago? Why do you hold yourself back from feeling happiness? I see that happening every few minutes. What makes you think that you can assuage your guilt by living in misery? It doesn't work that way.
When he had planted that Laburnum tree fifteen years ago in his sister's memory, he had thought of Khushi, wondering whether she would ever come back here to visit. His heart had leapt seeing her resting under the tree. Now, his sister's memory felt complete. He felt complete.
Its sentences like the above which would remain in my memory long after you have even completed this story. I wish I was a poet to describe the beauty of such sentences but words are just failing me today.
"Arnav!" A stunning smile split her face.
"Better. Keep practicing until we meet again. Ciao. Khushi." He saluted with a wink.
Yes Sandhya, trust me I am going to keep practicing his name until you give us the next update. 😉
