Such a lovely and realistic story. I love it for not being too mushy, but plain and simple life story. I am so into this story that I re-read all the chapters again. Really looking forward to see how the holi party shapes up. What's Payal upto inviting Khushi? Does Akash have any hand in this invitation? Or is she trying to get Khushi's support for her party and may be through her the support of the shop owners who are against Anand Rams? Sure seems to have a hidden motive there. Another suspicious character now is Renu Bhabi, who is she meeting secretly and what does Akash has to say about her? Hope she's not plotting against Khushi here because I would like to see her as a support for Khushi. And what is with Shyam bhaiyya's mystery? Poonam Raizada noticed Khushi's name in the log book.. oh, what's cooking in that mind now? Don't want any more disasters to happen in Khushi's life. I am especially wary of Mrs. Raizada and what she's capable of doing. Oh and Arnav and Khushi's encounter in his office was hilarious towards the end. Romance in the air? But then he had to throw cold water on whatever it was. I mean, I too am wondering why did he say that about his marriage to Aman - to convince himself or send a message to Khushi after what happened. Anyhow, even without their romance this FF is my favourite.
Khushi - Wow, she's such a strong character and it's always unnerving the way fate has played her.. She gets to be blamed for every unfortunate incident happening around her without even making an effort. It's like she's the magnet that attracts misfortunes. But she has survived all of those bravely. Sad that she couldn't get the degree certificate she deserved and the way her career got ruined. She ended up being a halwai exactly what her dad didn't want her to be. I hope to see her Bauji calling her his champion soon. Everyone she seemed not keen on keeping contacts are back in her contact list and this time around hopefully they all mean good for her. Am not sure if it's mentioned in any chap, I still wonder who wrote the write-up on her in the yearbook -Though I am leaning towards Akash, it could be even Arnav, Aman or Lavanya?
Arnav - Not sure about my feelings for his character though it's getting interesting. Lot of changes from the 14 yr old to 28 yr old. So the snobbish kid has grown up to be matured one even while being 8 yr old at times. And a not so angry Arnav..hmmn... And finally, he admits he "was" attracted to Khushi.. poor him, doesn't realise he's still attracted to her.. 😉
Payal - Honest and unchanging like Arnav says, deep down sweet like Akash says and tad bit insensitive to people she's not friends with. I really like this character at least for the fact that she isn't a pretentious person. Guess the accident has made her think about her relations and priorities. Always thought they had soft corner for each other from the time it was mentioned that Payal was not unfriendly to him in school and may be when she came to check on Khushi in college, probably she was assessing the relation between Khushi and Akash?
Then there is Preeto - Absolute darling and a very supportive friend. She is able to read Khushi well and is always by her side. And her teasing Khushi is fun. Life would be great if you have one friend like her.
Anjali - Ever sweet, funny, dramatic, practical and refreshingly not a pooja wali Anjali..But still meddling-is-my-favorite-past-time Anjali. Her conversations with Arnav and musings has me in splits most of the time. This has to be my most favourite Anjali among all of the fan-fic Anjalis.. 😊 Jun Jeeju seems to be the apt life partner for this Jhalli.
Akash - Seems to be the most level headed guy in this fiction.
Aman is interesting and funny despite having had depression. The name he gave Khushi is my fav nick name for her - Dhanno.. And surprise, he's not interested in Khushi.. I didn't see that coming. So, he was looking for Khushi only to apologize?
Lavanya - Though she has been Khushi's first friend in New-Ons I don't like her much and the grudge she had against Khushi was a little too much for a friend to have. I mean, she really though Khushi was the reason that Preeto fell in love with the person who happened to be her bf? And about the nationals qualifications.. a bit immature she is. Also, not really a friend in need.
Poonam Raizada - My least favourite character so far in this story and I dread to read about her and her thoughts... and her chamcha HP. Funny when I consider it's just a story 😃
Oops, it's such a long comment. Sorry for taking up so much space here, but cudn't keep it shorter.
