FF: The Virtual Friend

The phone started ringing.

She removed the blanket from her face and took the phone in her hand.

'Vibha calling''

She bite her tongue...its 8...she was supposed to wake up at 7!!

'Maya please bol ki tui uth gayi hai''

'Ha ...umm ha umm ha vibha bho main dress iron kar rahi thi I am ready almost''

'good hum tujhe 1 ghante mein pick up karne a rahe hain''

' ha thik hai''

Maya...Maya Agnihotri...hazaron sapne hai Maya ke hazaron khawaishe hai uske...zindagi ko khulke jeena chati hai who...aisi hai maya

Kabhi naram toh kabhi gusse se garam kabhi hasti muskoorati toh kabhi apni hi khayalo mein khoyi.

kab kya bolti hai usse khud bhi nahi malum kab kya karti hai usse khud bhi nahi pata.
Apni maa-baba ki laadli hai unse hi tou dunia suri hoti hai uski aur unpe hi khatam.

Kabhi confused ho jaati hai tou kabhi zid pe ar jati hai
kabhi apne dosto kiliye jaan dene ko tayar tou kabhi apne unhi dosto se jaan churake bhaag ne ko tayaar

within an hour she got ready. But like always maya was late...her hair was not the way she wanted it to be her eye linear was not perfect but kya kare time bhi tou nahi hai.

'Maa main ja rahi hoon''

'Maya kuch khake jaa '

'nahi maa ake khaoon gi''

' ake breakfast khayegi??''

maya giggled

'kab taak aye gi''

'thodi der ho jaye gi...ab main chalti hoon''

her friends were waiting for her in the car

'Vibha nahi ayi??'' Asked maya getting into the car.

'nahi bho apne kisi friend ke saath direct voha milegi humein...uska end moment par plan change ho geya'' said rahul.

like always'' said Anjali, Rahul's girlfriend.

Rahul,anjali,nafisa and vibha were not the only friends maya had she had many friends but these were the closest ones. She had many friends but she liked to hang out with only few of her friends. But that day maya's best friend, Veronica was missing she was not going to the holi party with them.

Finally they reached the spot.

it was not that much crowded so it was not hard for vibha to spot them.

'Yeh le tickets'' said Vibha.

'Ah great...likin yeh Maya kaha reh geyi'' asked rahul. They looked back and there was Maya giving money to some poor kids and laughing with them.

'Adopt kab kar rahi hai??'' asked Anjali sarcastically

'adopt kar ne kiliye thodi baat kar rahi thi vo tou uske mele mein bich re hue bhai behen the...hai na maya??''mocked rahul

'haha haha funny'' maya gave her usual dialogue. She was not that good with comebacks.

'ok if we are done tou chale...mera friend voha intezaar kar raha hai'' said Vibha.

'kavya'' called Vibha.

A tall boy wearing a balck t-shirt and blue jeans with a black Adidas jacket turned back to see his friend.





'Guys this is my friend, kavya agnihotri''


Vibha introduced one by one to kavya and then she introduced Maya.

Maya looked at kavya. The boy had a different charm, he was not smiling neither he had a friendly face but still there was something about him.

Kavya looked at Maya...her eyes..such magical eyes..he looked away.

he stood there quietly while others talked with eachother but maya she was looking at him from the corner of her eyes but she didn't want him to know that. She didn't want him to know that she found him charming.

'Vibha mere aur kuch friends aye hai main unse milke ata hoon'' and kavya went away from them.

'tera friend zyaada baat nahi karta hain??'' asked anjali.

'Arei nahi yaar...kavya bohut friendly hai likin aj vo zyaada baat nahi karna chahta'' said Vibha

'kyun??'' asked Rahul. Maya was glad rahul asked what she wanted to.

'Vo aj uska aur tammana ki relationship ko 3 saal hote but they broke up 4 months back''.

Maya looked into the crowd to see him but he was not there.
'Guys lets eat something I am very hungry'' said maya. She was ready to do anything to get his face out of her mind to stop thinking about him.
This is how maya was. She didn't want anyone to know that maya found someone attractive cause this things seemd to 'pathetic'' to her. Having a crush on a guy enquiring about hiim seemed too foolish to her. Mybe that was the reason she never went into a relationship.

She was standing just near the food stall.

'uff why the hell am I thinking about him...i just met him this is so stupid''
Maya was all lost in her thoughts and unmindfully she turned and bumped into kavya.
'I am sorry'' said maya.
He didn't say anything he just smiled. She went near her friends.Vibha was walking with kavya and maya was there with her friends.
Then the holi party started everywhere there was colors and the music was loud. Maya was enjoying with her friends and kavya...well he was enjoying with his friends.

Rahul,Anjali, nafisa and Maya were sitting on the grass when Vibha came.

'What are you guys doing??''

'uh nothing Vibha we were just chatting but we are too thirsty , pani hai tere paas??'' asked rahul

'I have'' said kavya. He handed over the water bottle to rahul. When it came to nafisa she took a gulp and was going to give it to maya when kavya asked for it.

'oh its ok you have it first'' said kavya

'no its aright you have it'' said maya

'no you have it'' said kavya

Nafisa looked at both of them and took the last sip 'now you both stay thirsty!''

'guys I think we should leave now'' said Anjali

'yeah we should leave' said Maya

'ok then bye guys main aur kavya bhi nikal te hain'' said vibha

'ok bye then ...btw tum logo ke naam...you are rahul...your anjali your nafisa..and you

kavya looked at maya...those eyes...''maya'' he said with a smile.
Maya nodded

Both of them left facing their backs at each other but something was holding them ...something.

kavya looked behind ...she was going away...
maya looked behind...he was going away...


Maya freshened up and turned on her pc.
Kavya Agnihotri she typed on her search box and his profile arrived
she moved her cursor to the 'Add friend'' button
'Should I add him??'' 'kya soche ga voh'' 'I am acting so stupid'' 'no friend request... choro jaane do''

and maya clicked the button.

After 5mins maya got a notification
