Arnav was little taken aback when Lavanya didnt shout at him for coming late to her birthday party. She seemed to be extremely cool. They met some of their old friends and there a heated conversation started.

Rohit: But seriously La, we never thought Arnav and you can get seperated so easily. You guys dated for a year almost and then suddenly he married Khushi. How could you bear all this?

Lavanya: So what Rohit? We both know why we seperated. Its just fine with me. And didnt you hear the famous prophecy? If your love wants to go away, dont stop him. If he comes back to you then he is yours.

She was proud stating that fact.

Lavanya: I believe my ASR will come back to me. Right ASR?

Arnav didnt speak a word initially. He gulped the drink.

Arnav: Who made me go away from you Lavanya? It was your decision.

Lavanya: Yes. But I took it for you. For us.

Arnav: Wish it was really for Us.

He went away to get another drink. Rohit and his girl friend kept gazing Lavanya.

Rohit: Lavanya. Whatever happened cannot be changed. But he is married now. He has a wife. Dont you think you guys should now move on?

Lavanya: Ohh just shut up. Dont advise me what I have to do. Everything is as perfect as it should be. ASR has a wife but he doesnt care for her. Thats why he is here. With me. Alone. Isnt that enough?

Rohit: Come on Lavanya. We all know him. He is very much sane and he can never disrespect relationships. Lets see what the future beholds for you both.

Lavanya was mad at them. She left their company. Future cannot decide their fate. She knows how to make her own future.

All she asked was for a Kiss from Arnav as her birthday present. It was very unusual to ask for the Kiss today because all these months she got it from him without even asking. Arnav was very nervous to gift her what she wanted. He never thought it would be so difficult for him after marriage. He wanted to hold Lavanya tight in arms but somewhere deep down his heart whenever he came close to Lavanya, his love, he remembered the day he promised Khushi, his wife, of not breaking his limits with any of these two girls. Though Arnav and Lavanya were just few inches apart, Arnav controlled his desires and pecked Lavanya's cheeks once. He moved back.

Lavanya: Cheek pe?

Arnav: I should leave Lavanya. Di must be worried.

Lavanya: No She wont be worried. She knows you are in my party ASR. What is wrong with you? You cannot even kiss me? Is this your love?

Arnav: Dont test my love Lavanya. You have to respect my promises, my commitments now.

Lavanya: Yes. I know. Sorry. But was this my only birthday present?

Arnav cupped her face.

Arnav: Check in your bedroom. You will find the second half of your present there.

She jumped in joy. She knew ASR gifts her lavishly. It was her duty to ask and he gives her everything. She kissed his cheek now and then both bid bye.

Arnav: Ohh Yes. Khushi has also wished you for your birthday. I forgot to tell you that before.

Lavanya smiled unwantedly and then Arnav left back to his home.

That night he got the chance to sleep on the bed alone. From past few days he slept on couch but tonight as his wife was not there, the bed was all his. But he felt an uneasiness while sleeping there. It had her presence even though she was not physically there. The next morning he woke up hearing the bangles tinkling around him. He opened his eyes and saw Khushi watering the plants at the poolside. She came back? When?

He came out and wished her a Good morning. She wished him back.

Arnav: Hows your father?

Khushi: He is good.

She kept watering to the plants. She spoke to the point especially with him.

Arnav: I. I gave your wishes to Lavanya. She was happy.

Khushi: Thanks Arnavji. How was the party?

Arnav: Good.

He sometimes felt like talking to her but then he was not sure if she was happy to discuss. But he gave a start today with the question that he wanted to ask her yesterday only.

Arnav: When is your birthday?

Khushi stopped watering the plants.

Arnav: Dont see me like that. I am just asking your birth date. Not your age.

She smiled.

Khushi: 17th September. And I dont mind telling my age either.

Arnav: September. Humm.

Khushi: Its out of our 6 months contract period.

She didnt hesitate to point this out. Their faces became dull suddenly.

Arnav: So what? We can still celeberate it.

Khushi: You will be in touch with me even after this marriage?

Arnav: Yea. Why not? You dont wish to?

She could not answer that. She was not sure if they meeting after their so called end of contract will be good or not .She maintained silence and told him, she will get his Juice. She just wanted a chance to leave the room. She left and Lavanya entered their bedroom. Lavanya was here early morning just to request something very personal.

Arnav: Its not possible Lavanya.

Lavanya wrapped her arms around his neck passionately.

Lavanya: Only you can make it possible ASR. I know what you have promised yourself. You wont touch me. I am okay with that. All I am asking is some time together in Singapore. Just you and me. You can make any excuse to Nani. She will understand it. Since the time you have got married, I feel very insecured ASR. I dont have you around me because your priorities have changed for the next 6 months.

Arnav: Who made me change those priorities? And now you are asking me to walk away from those?

Lavanya: Not for long. Just 5 days. Please ASR. Just make this trip happen. I promise not to come between your responsibilities until all this ends. Please.

They both were still standing close. Arnav had not given his response yet. Suddenly he felt a gust of wind blowing which made him look subconsciously at the door. Khushi was standing there with a tray of Juice in her hand. She had heard it all though she was not looking at them but on the floor. Arnav moved Lavanya away.

Khushi: Sorry I didnt mean to hear your talks but

Lavanya: Thats fine Khushi. I know you are too good to overhear others conversation.

Lavanya faked being good to Khushi.

Lavanya: ASR, think about it and tell me if I should book the tickets. I will see you tomorrow. Bye.

Lavanya left. Khushi placed the tray on the table. She saw Arnav was restless thinking what his decision should be. She wanted to make it easier for him.

Khushi: Aap ko jaana chahiye Arnavji. Lavanyaji ko accha lagega. (You should go Arnavji. Lavanyaji will feel good)

She knew he didnt need her advise but she wanted to make one thing clear. She is unaffected by his relationship with Lavanyaji.

Arnav: Aur tumhe? Tumhe accha lagega agar tumhaara pati kisi aur ladki ke saath outdoor jaa raha ho? Now please dont say you believe your husband Khushi. No wife can trust her husband at this point. (And you ? Will you like if your husband goes outdoor to spend time with some other girl? Now please dont say you believe your husband Khushi. No wife can trust her husband at this point.)

Khushi: Nani has called me for the Puja. I will see you later Arnavji.

That was the best thing she could do to avoid such questions from her husband. But there was something in her mind which made her stop. Running away is not the solution of all problems. She looked back at him.

Khushi: A wife will never want her husband to have his freedom with any other girl. She will break down if something like this happen. But Arnavji, our case is different. You love that girl and want to spend the rest of your life with her. She is the one deserving you. I am just your temporary wife. I have no expectations neither will I have any grief knowing you both go to Singapore and spend time with each other. I cannot hold something which is never mine. So stop thinking my perspective. Do what benefits you and her. Not you and me.

Khushi and her complex replies always made him confused. But she was right. Lavanya was his future, he loved her. But even though all this was true, why did he feel like missing to see something in his present relation with Khushi? Was it just a sympathy on Khushi for being in a situation to bear all this between him and Lavanya ?

He made this announcement of leaving for Singapore before his family at night while having Dinner. Anjali knew already that this was Lavanya's idea, not her Chotte's. She glanced at Khushi who was quietly having her food, sitting next to Arnav.

Nani: For how many days Chotte?

Arnav: Just 4 days Nani .

Nani: Any important work?

Arnav: Not much. But I need to check the Fashion markets there before thinking of investing.

Nani: Good. Take Khushi bitiya also.

Khushi dropped her spoon on the table hearing this. She had not expected Nani to send her along with Arnavji.

Arnav: But Nani.

Nani: You both didnt go for any honeymoon. This is the best time. You and Khushi bitiya will get time with each other and I will be relieved that everything is going good between my grandson and his wife.

Arnav had no reply.

Khushi: Naniji. Its okay. He is going for work. I dont wish to disturb him there.

Nani: Bitiya. Wife cannot be a disturbance , she is always a strength to her husband. Arnav will take you. Such period wont come again. Just go and enjoy this privacy. I dont wish to hear a NO from both of you.

That was the final call from Nani which the couple had to agree though Khushi was still reluctant.

Arnav: Khushi. Trust me. Its fine. You can come.

Khushi: No Arnavji. Lavanyaji wanted to spend time with you alone. She wont like it. I wont like it.

Arnav: I will make her understand.

Khushi: No. It will be akward.

Arnav: I told you its fine. Why are you arguing.? And what do you think we were going to do there? Just go out , do some shopping, sight seeing and thats all. So since you are joining us, we three will still have the same agenda.

Khushi: You are not understanding Arnavji.

Arnav: I am Khushi. I know what you are talking about. But we cannot deny Nani .She will start spying on us and we cannot let that happen. Okay? So start packing bags. I will tell Aman to book our tickets. And leave Lavanya's concern. I will talk to her.

Arnav was still sure about this decision but Khushi was not. She knew Lavanyaji hated her and now if she accompanies them in Singapore, that hate will never reduce. She will keep thinking that Khushi is trying to snatch Arnavji from her. But this is not true. Khushi did not know how their days in Singapore will be but one thing she promised herself. She will give Arnavji and Lavanyaji plenty of time to be together. She will always stick to her room and be away from them. But even after all this she could feel butterflies in her stomach thinking she was officially going for a Honeymoon for the family and that too with Arnavji.
