What a beautiful and sensitive OS!! An extremely perceptive story... about how the 1993 riots brought the downfall of humanity in its battle with religion. I am from Mumbai and I still remember the after-effects of the riots. A small community, of "so-called" staunch religious believers, actually escalated the issue to a different level.

But yes, there were people like Arnav and Khushi, who looked beyond the religion and were desperately trying to save humanity. I loved this subtle love story of two cups of tea and the clock striking five. Khushi's emotions of displeasing her parents... were so real, yet, she found her heart beating for a Hindu... because a heart does not differentiate between religions... it only understands the language of love.

Let love and compassion be the primary beliefs of this society! ❤️

wow, beautiful os and so sensitively written. i know very little about the riots but u put a very human face on the pain and suffering that must have occurred. i'm glad that amidst the despair hope returned and love blossomed and both triumphed over the hatred and bigoted intolerance of others.

What a BEAUUUTIFUL OS! The story was so sweet! I love how you brought not only the Hindu-Muslim divide, but also the fact that Khushi and Arnav each have to make their own decision outside of it, based off of who they are and what they want, regardless of circumstance. I love how showed their raw feelings when it came to their love, of how their want for each other, their need for each other is greater than anything else :) You made want to cry and smile and the same time for their love! AHH, how beautiful!

Choti, loved this OS. you have written such a beautiful love story in the backdrop of the Mumbai riots. And the best part is you are so neutral in your portrayal of both the religions. 👏

You have written it so well and handled this sensitive issue so well. I have always wondered why is religion so important to people, I mean more important than an individual, a life?! How can praying to different powers be so harmful?
I liked the way you handled it and the end with her coming over to let him know that nothing else matters than them being happy together. 😊
