Tom had read every bit of history about Sirius black and Harry Potter in his time at Hogwarts. Harry had given the true account of Peter Pettigrew's betrayal to his parents and Sirius Black's loyalty to him and to his family in modern history. He had been greatly inspired by both these men, only he had never seen Sirius black before and he had also never known that he had been a part of the Dumbledore's Army.
He entered the dining room feeling as if he had walked through the doors of history and fame all at once.
Within the not so very outstanding dining hall sat some of the biggest personalities of this age. The most prominent were Oliver Wood, the Keeper of the England Quidditch team, who had only just returned from a tour and beside him was Angelina Johnson, head of the International Quidditch Federation. Both of them were mentioned in the Daily Prophet quite often. Tom knew that well because of Porch's extreme love for the game, he himself had hardly ever read the Prophet other than front page news. Other than them, he knew Michael Corner and Terry Boot who were very high ranking aurors working usually in collaboration with the head of the Wizengamot, Richardo Latnok who was not here. The two of them were mentioned in news quite often as well.
The next thing that surprised Tom beyond comparison was that two more of his Hogwarts colleagues who had been nothing short of family to him had apparently also been a part of the Army for a long time. They were Padma and Madam Brown. Both of them sat around the table immersed in a deep conversation with certain others Tom had never seen. He had seen many of the rest at Neville's and Hannah's funeral but he hardly knew them. Seeing them made him ask something to Porch.
"Were Neville and Hannah also part of the Army?"
Porch stared at him a moment, however, before he could answer, Harry stood up drawing everyone's attention, motioning them to settle down.
