Yeah well don't get too happy, I still don't have a full update for you all. I can't explain my absence from this story nor can I excuse it but just be assured that I do plan of finis this story.

So I am going to post this short part here instead at the blog, the full part will be posted at the blog when I come back from India.

Ch. 49

The remaining barrier between them slipped away. At some point the candles blew out one by one from the gentle breeze that came thru the window but neither noticed it having forgotten about everything else but each other and their need for one another.

The only glow they needed for that very special first time was the glow of love that lit their hearts and flushed their skin. A glow that soon ignited a fiery passion neither of them had dreamed existed.

Their hearts rose high with everything they felt and everything they did until they were no longer earthbound, and the power of what they felt carried them to the sky.

Later, much later, they drifted back and touched the earth again to lie in the quiet aftermath. They dozed a little then went back to quiet words and soft declaration, until a few lazy caresses led to few little kisses. The lips that gave those kisses began to linger until the passion between them ignited again.

The gentle breeze and the first rays of sunlight streaming thru the open bedroom window woke Priya up from a pleasant slumber. She blinked open her eyes and glanced around her room. Memories of the night before brought a slow smile to her face.

She placed her hand on the muscular arm that was wrapped around her waist holding her securely. It all felt so surreal until she felt the warm body lying next to her. She turned towards the man who had changed her world completely the night before.

She sighed as she glanced at Arjun, his features relaxed and his stubbles, more, prominent in the morning light. "So this is what it would be like to wake up in the arms of Arjun Rawte every morning." She thought to herself.

Her smile faded a little. She doesn't regret what happened between them the night before but still there was a lingering fear that she was unable to wipe out completely from her heart.

Priya no longer doubted Arjun or his love but she did fear rejection from his family and she won't be able to let go of her fear until she is completely accepted by his family. She no longer had the strength to cut Arjun out of her life. He was her life.

"You are thinking too much again," whispered a husky voice from next to her.

Arjun lifted his head and gave Priya a quick peck on the lips. He had been awake for a while watching the fleeting expressions on her face. "Good morning, my love."

In an instant all her worries and fears faded into the background as she gazed into Arjun's loving eyes, "Good morning Arjun."

"Are you okay?" He asked as he moved a strand of hair from her face.

She placed her hand on his cheek, "I have never been better."

Arjun ran his finger over the crease in her forehead, "Then why the frown lines?"

Priya turned on her side to face Arjun, "I was thinking about your family. Will they accept our relationship after knowing everything about me?"

"First of all, are you ready to accept this relationship?"

Priya nodded a yes without hesitation. "Then don't worry about my family."

"But Arjun.." He didn't let her finish talking and kissed her to stop her from arguing. Soon the gentle kiss turned into a passionate one and Priya forgot all about his family.

Hours later Priya stood, leaning against her bedroom door as she watched Arjun get ready for work. It had taken her and several calls from Sameer to convince him to go into work. Her heart fluttered in her chest as she watched him button the copper color shirt into a pair of well-worn jeans.

Even after spending a passionate night in his arms she couldn't help but wish to be held by him again. Part of it was because she just wanted him to hold her and never let her go and part of it is from the deep rooted fear of her happiness being snatched away from her.

It had taken them long to get to where they are now she didn't want anything to come into their lives at this point to ruin it all. Unfortunately they still haven't dealt with the biggest obstacle to their happy life.

Just the thought of the man sent terror race thru her heart. She didn't fear the man but she did fear what he would do to destroy her happiness. The thought compelled her to go to Arjun and wrap her arm around him from the back.

Arjun immediately dropped the hair brush on the dresser and grabbed her hand to pull her around to his front. "Did you change your mind about going to work?"

Priya's lips turned up at the teasing glint in his eyes. She splayed her hands over his chest and played with a button on his shirt. "Have I told you that I love you?"

He pulled her closer to his body, "Hmm..but I will never get tired of hearing it or you saying it."

Priya relaxed against him and wrapped her arms around his neck. She didn't take her eyes off of him, "Arjun Rawte, I love you more than my life and the day you came into my life must have been the luckiest day of my life."

Arjun pulled her into his arms and held on to her tightly. He breathed a sigh of relief. There was only one thing he needed to clear with her so that she never doubts his feelings again. He moved back slightly to cup her face.

"You will never regret giving me a second chance even though I don't deserve it." He placed his hand on her mouth to keep her from talking.

"Just remember you were always my first love, not Roshni. I inked her name on to my arm out of guilt not love. I didn't just remove the name for you I did also did it for me. I don't even want a shadow of her past in present or future. I want us to start fresh."

Priya blinked back her tears and smiled at him. "Thank you for sharing that with me Arjun." Any lingering doubts she had about his feelings just evaporated by his heartfelt confession.
