The moonlight entered feebly inside the dark pitched room availing a sight of four souls inside. Gaining plus points from Sharon's pregnancy, the bed was occupied by Taani and Sharon, while Rey and Swayam had to suffer the nights on their respective couches. The aura around the Motel was calm and silent except the harmonic sounds of crickets and night insects.
The silent night of Chikhli was rudely disturbed by a sudden noise of the engine. A lavish Mercedes enters the premises of the Motel. The guard in his half sleep opened his eyes feebly only to get temporarily blinded by the bright headlights. Getting his blanket off his body, he rubbed his eyes to get a better view of this late night guest. But before his eyes could see the upcoming face clearly, his ears already heard the conversation of the two people approaching him.
"Maa!! Aaram se!" Quickly holding his mother's hand for the support, Rajeev looked at his old but energetic mother. Even at the age of 50 she wanted to tour places like Goa.
"Rajeev, tumse zyada himmat hai mujhme!" She shrugged off his hands.
Mrs. Pammi Khurana was a woman of her kind. In the age of visiting religious and holy places, she was keen to see beaches filled with young man running in their swimming costumes. Her modern thinking always overflowed Rajeev's mind forcing him to think, how this women never behave like one of her age. But being a dutiful son, he was happy as long as his mother is happy.
Finding their way towards the reception, Pammi followed her son only to find a half sleeping guard looking at them in daze.
"Excuse me!" Rajeev tried getting the attention of the man but he looked still lost in sleep. Becoming quite irritated, he rang the bell on the desk continuously making the guard jerk out of his sleep.
"Haa..Haa Shaab!" Hastily getting up, his one hand automatically reached his head to saltue. The usual Nepal accent was hard to miss.
"We want to check in. Dekhiye Mr. Rajeev Khurana ke naam se ek room booked hoga.." Holding down his anger, Rajeev said in a much milder tone.
"Shaab! Mujhe Manager Shaab ko bulana padega!" He informed and ran away taking two minutes to call the Manager.
A good five minutes passed and Rajeev found the confused guard following the scared Manager. As they approached their guest, Manager already found his legs trembling. This was definitely one of a moment.
"Yes..Yes sir.." The Manager stuttered.
"I have booked a room by my name- Rajeev Khurana. Can you give me the keys?!!" He asked getting a little impatient, now that the night grew darker and both his mother and he felt sleep taking over.
"Um..Sir, but aap to subah aane wale the.." The Manager looked frightful. How to tell these people what mess he had been in?
"Ha..Par mein raat ko aa gaya. Koi problem hai aapko?! Please give me the keys!!" His irritation level grew.
The Manger turned towards the Key hanger board trying to find a key which he knew was not there. Having no option, he took out the spare key from his pocket praying to his Mighty God to save him.
The silence in the room suddenly disturbed with Swayam mumbling something in his sleep. Rey, who was already in loose sleep looked at his friend, who seem to be having an unusual amusing dream. "Sharon..Sharon.." Moaning in his sleep, he turned his side on the couch. "I am sorry Sharon.." Rey tried stopping his laugh finding Swayam pouting in his sleep. He quickly got off his couch toddling silently towards Swayam.
"Sharon..I swear mein phir se ye galti nahi karunga.." Swayam's face turned depressing while Rey became quite successful in holding his giggles with only a few muffles escaping the silence in the room.
"Sharon!!" With a last call, Swayam jumped on Sharon in sleep while in reality, he jumped out of the couch falling over unwarned Rey. The unexpected weight over his body made Rey collide with the hard marbled floor and before he could realise anything, swayam's rough lips started smooching his. His eyes popped as if all ready to come out of socket, while his body was too numb to react. Swayam firmly hold Rey as he kissed his lips imagining his pretty wife in sleep. The effects of their fight and non-intimate days he has been spending for so long worked as fuel for his carnal desires. Rey, who has been frozen until now, started groaning in swayam's mouth and struggling out of his grip. Swayam was too lost in his dream to notice. Having no option left, Rey bite hard on swayam's lower lip making him wince in pain and consecutively bring him back to reality. He opened his heavy eyelids only to find an earth shattering scene in front of him. More aptly, beneath him. REY..UNDER HIM..HIS LIPS OVER REY'S!!! He jerked out of the kiss quickly getting off Rey, who looked equally shocked and pissed off.
Rajeev looked at the Manager while holding down his frustration and anger. From the last 15 minutes, they have been doing nothing but moving to and fro from basement to top floor. Trapped inside this steel box, the four people gave each other weird looks excluding the embarrassed look that manager carried on his face. The guard was continuously tapping his soul on the floor of the lift gaining equal minus points from Rajeev. Only Pammi looked cool and calm as she enjoyed the unexpected ride.
"What the hell are you doing?!!" Rajeev finally burst on the face of manager.
"Sir...Sir vo..Lift kharab ho gayi hai.." The manager stuttered as he spoke.
"Press the STOP button right now!!!" His anger already reached the highest level as he hissed at the poor soul. The shaking hands of Manager instantly reached the STOP button without even looking at the it. Pressing it within a second, he found the door of the lift opening on the 5th floor- the floor which had Rajeev's room.
"Oh Shit!!!" Swayam exclaimed while wiping off his lips in disgust.
"What Oh Shit?!! Saale meri izzat to already loot li tune!" Rey barked at him.
"Meine kya kiya?! Tu mere neeche kya kar raha tha?!" Trying to hide his embarrassment, swayam shouted.
"Correct your question! Tu mere upar kya kar raha tha?!!" Rey's voice was enough loud to disturb taani's sleep. With her half closed eyes, she looked at the boys sitting on the floor as they shout on top of their voices.
"Guys..what the hell is happening?" Taani said in her sleepy soar voice. The two men looked at her in shock unable to speak anything. It was better to jump off a cliff then to tell her the truth.
"Vo.." Rey tried speaking. "Vo.." Soon swayam joined him.
"Vo hum dono cricket discuss kar rahe the!!" Rey quickly covered it up.
"Cricket! Itni raat ko!!" Taani said in disbelief. "You guys are crazy.." Whispering it under her breathe, she drifted back to her sleep.
Giving each other a warning look and feeling sickness building up within themselves, Rey and Swayam finally got on their feet to get back on their couches but before that could happen, they heard a faint footsteps coming towards the room. Feeling something wrong, they quickly went towards the door as they slightly opened it. The faint light of the corridor entered the room as a straight ray. Swayam's chin rested over Rey's head as they peeped out of the room.
"What the.." It instantly escaped Rey's mouth as he found Manager accompanied by two strangers and another man who was most probably the guard, all coming towards their room.
"Kyun kya hua?" Swayam asked in confusion.
"Are! Uss manager ne humein kisi aur ka room diya tha! Bhool gaya kya?!"Rey hissed while moving his eyeballs a little up to match with swayam's gaze.
"Are ha.." It was then it struck swayam's mind. "Kahi ye vahi log to nahi?!"
"Exactly! Ye vahi log hai!!" Rey looked a little tensed.
"Ab kya kare?!!"
"Karna kya hai..Bhagna padega!" Rey said.
"Yaha se kaha bhagenge?! Sharon aur taani ko pata chala to hum dono ko juton se pitengi!" Swayam looked horrified.
"To kya kare?!!" Even Rey carried the same horrified expression. Trying to find a solution, it was then when something lit in swayam's mind and quickly he whispered it in rey's ears. A spark of hope shine in rey's eyes along with the fear of the consequences. But being short of options, it was easiest to go for the given solution.
Rey and Swayam quickly went back to bed picking up all of their luggage and shifting it inside the bathroom. Once they were sure that the whole luggage was kept inside, it was time for most dangerous step- waking up the girls. Going towards their respective girls side, they looked meekly at their sleeping faces which will soon turn into a fuming one.
"Taani.." Rey called her in a slow and sugar coated voice. With a moan indicating a disturbance in sleep, she turned towards the other side. Rey looked at Swayam helplessly.
"Sharon.."Swayam get almost the same response from her as he called Sharon. The footsteps sound to come closer and with no options left, they nodded in agreement, mentally deciding their final Plan B. Their gaze once again shifted towards the girls and in no time, they picked them in their arms. Their faces turned wrenched with the weight they had too carry. Though Bathroom was only a few steps away, it looked miles far. They took heavy but fast steps towards Bathroom along with avoiding any sort of disturbance in their sleep.
"Sir, ye aapka room hai.." The Manager informed looking already yellow with fear. Rajeev's hand went straight to the knob. Inside, the boys were almost successful as they stepped inside the bathroom with their ladies in their arms. The Manager mentally prayed for his life and job with the next second about to bring anything but normal in front of them.
