This FF too, though one of the oldest stories there is, has been retold as a modern day tale of a woman who went on to become one man's winning (and avenging) inspiration and the downfall of another. Kushi Shyama Draupad, the dusky maiden known for her nonpareil beauty and lofty nature, is coveted by many and yet, there is only one man she would submit to in marriage: Arnav Arjun Puru, a savvy and struggling ad man from another old bloodline, who has nothing left of the princely past, except their family name for his progeny.
But love is never enough, isn't so? And what of a family that chooses to remain in a lesser practiced joint family structure, as opposed to going separate ways? Is a woman truly married only to the man living in such a social construct? And what of long prevailing family feuds which threaten the budding relationship between Kushi and Arnav. Read Labyrinth to know how their fates weave a tale of pain and passion and friendship; of excruciating decisions to mete out poetic justice to their loved ones; of good that should prevail over evil, even in their microcosm.
So, wanna read? Like it, hate it and let me know (either ways) if you want to read more (or not.) Until then, I will post a few test chapters and wait till I hear back from some of you, if not more.

Update Mar 25th: Over the hiatus, I have given some thought to the story line and would be most comfortable in making this story my own. Though there are many similarities with the epic, hence forth, the story line might embark its own journey, given the modern times its set in.
Other notes on the story: The backdrop is drawn from Madmen - an American TV series on the infamous ad men of Madison Avenue, NY. Most of the names of the characters should be recognizable, if not here is a legend to point you to their namesake in the epic.
Dhri - Dhrishtadyumma: Draupadi's brother
Kushi Shyama Draupad: Yajnaseni (one born out of the sacrificial fire)
Arnav Arjun Puru - Arjun (Obviously!)
Aditya Karan Singh - Karna
Yuvi Puru - Yudhisthira
Dev Puru - Bhim
Vishwa - Krishna Vasudev (Double obviously!)
Nivedh Puru - Nakul
Sahasra Puru - Sahadev
Khyati Puru - Kunti
Nilofer bi - Kunti's lady's maid and now, a friend.
For conveniences sake, we will keep it to three brothers, unlike five. And I really want to make do without other characters - we'll see.
