CHAPTER :8

Sameera was very upset with the laughing session that happened downstairs all because of her one single mistake of getting confused between two sizes of spoon!! She ran upstairs straight away to his room and fell on the master bed with a huge thud crying her hearts out...She was sooo hurt, feeling sooo miserable!!!...

" ok? I made a slight mistake...others could have made me understand naa...but no!...all of them were simply laughing at me as though it was a freaking laughter show going on...and of all people , it was arnav who mocked me indirectly...he was the one who made fun of me...and PRAISED that khushi ...woh aisa kaise kar sakta hai???...he behaved as though...only she can prepare pasta for him...everybody was laughing their hearts out at me... .whats my fault if I don't know that tea spoon and table spoon are different things??...how can one measure a table with something named a "spoon" ????? aaarrrghhh!!! Disgusting !!... ...i just attempted to impress him by making something that was his favourite...and what did my saasumaa commented to it-- " khushi wasn't at home or else she would have helped me..." Help, my foot!!...i cant believe that he was sooo angry and took no time in rejecting my dish along with my hopes just like that!...i mean, he loves me and I have seen in movies...people eat anything prepared by their lovers, even if it taste very very bad...but here arnav acted all opposite to it...urghhh...i hate him...its been so much of time, since I came running here, but he still dint came to console me... why the heck is he like this...so...so...sadu.."

Sameera dint knew, what hurt her more...arnav making fun of her,...or arnav making fun of her infront of his family especially KHUSHI...right from the evening she had planned her each and every victorious smirks and looks which would be reserved for the time when her creation would be praised and circulated among everyone who would lick their fingers off while tasting the deliciousness of that yummy pasta...but all went in vain!!...and basically she dint mind everyone laughing at her ...but a mere image of khushi giggling at her foolishness was so infuriating that she dint knew what to do...

She was still pacing up and down his room with angry tears flowing down her eyes, when arnav entered as silently as he could and smiled at her side profile. She glance then ignored him and turned her face away...he sighed and move towards her. Taking her palm in his he made her look in his eyes by raising her chin with his other hand, "look sameera, don't think that we were laughing at u...infact, I truly appreciate your efforts...i mean, you are not a homely person...u never did such kind of jobs, but still u are trying to adjust with my family...which itself proves, that u are such a wonderful person and more importantly are going to be a very good daughter in law...I am proud of you...but on a serious note, neither me or anyone among the family want to indulge you in an activities at which u are not comfortable...u don't need to take special efforts learning these things..."

"arnav...I am getting married to u and its not a joke...I have to learn the household activities to prove myself better..." Sameera spoke seriously...as her inner heart wishes almost came upto her lips.

"who asked you do this??? And why do u need to prove urself better? With whom are u comparing yourself with haan??" he waited expectantly but seeing no reply from her ( I should rather say, finding her tongue tied...i mean, what the...?? Arnav ne itna sahi guess kaise kar liya) , he continued cupping her face...

"What I am trying to say is, maa and everyone had shared their opinion ab

out u to me after they met with u for the first time during the shagun and believe me, she said that you are such a carefree and talkative person...all these days, I dint got time to meet u but these thought was nagging me from quite sometime now...why are u behaving so differently with the family???... u were never the bubby and talkative kind, isn't it? ...plzz sameera, all of us know that u belong completely to a professional world...so there's no need for you to try all these cooking and other things...my family is very open-minded when it comes to women working out of the house...we believe in liberty n freedom sameera...even anjali bhabhi n khushi works out of the house...so plzzz, do not exert urself with all these yaar...are u getting me?"

Sameera just nodded her head feeling very delighted inside that he cared for her and her feeling sooo much...moreover...he was trying so hard so that she is comfortable and adapt easily to the new surroundings... she coudnt believe that he had even noticed so many things about her in the past...for instance he knew she wasn't the talkative kind, she was very professional and even now, he figured out, that she was over exerting herself with learning the terrible household things...oh wow!!!! Maybe she failed to impress him but today she got to know his innermost feelings n man!!! This was worth the efforts and the planning she made, all day...

She felt like dancing up and down, all her anger vanished within a seconds and she felt her insides busting away with her victory!!! she gave him a bright full blown smile while both of them made their way out of the room. As they were halfway through the stairs, she touched his palm and entwined his fingers with hers. Arnav looked at her with a questioning glance, to which she smiled shyly not before giving him a small kiss on his cheek... Arnav turned and looked ahead continuing to walk downstairs.

Maybe it was her touch or this new unknown feeling of having sameera by his side, completely clinging to him or whatever could be the reason but arnav completely forgot that he had asked his bestie for something... he was so lost that he just carried on walking ahead ... with both of them holding hands making a picture perfect shot of a completely-in-love couple...

They were still walking when sameera turned back as she heard few noises and felt like someone was calling them but arnav was ignorant to it completely...his thoughts were preoccupied and so without glancing back or paying any heed to anything or anyone, absent-mindedly he made his way towards the white SUV at the parking for dropping sameera back to her residence... Poor boy, was completely unaware of the repercussion of his one single act..!!

It was khushi who was calling out to arnav as she was done making the white sauced delicious-looking, yummy, hot and ready to serve pasta with the correct quantity of pepper, olives and spices just as he likes it to be...she was just about to call him when to her astonishment , entered arnav and sameera, both of them walking nearly stuck with each other, making their way to the front gate having their hands entwined and bodies clinging ...she called out to them but it all fell on deaf ears!! She then ran behind them so that he could finish up with his pasta and then get on with his usual duty of dropping his fianc, home... she knew how eager he always is, for her hand-made pasta. Such a foodie person - her bestie!!

But none of them stopped even when she kept on screaming her lungs out and then finally as she crossed the threshold she spotted the car zooming away, with and extremely elated sameera smirking at her. khushi stopped dead on her tracks !!!...sameera and smirking, What was that ?????

Neither sameera nor arnav had listened to her...she was continuously shouting thinking that probably they had dint noticed her, with them being busy in some convo and all... but then why was sameera smirking in such a meaningful way??...what was she trying to show? that single smirk from her disturbed khushia lot as she felt the same unusual breaking kind of feeling from somewhere deep inside her...

On the other hand, Arnav kept on driving without speaking a word...he was so lost and confused since the moment sameera touched him. He had proclaimed to like her and even had proposed her for the marriage...right? what he meant by that was spending their life time together and having a secured future with lots of children involved...then why was he so unresponsive when she touched him?? why was he not liking her touch??...the moment she touched his palm with hers, and indubitable force made him shriek the very moment and he wanted nothing but to withdrew his hand from hers.

To say he was heavily tangled up wont be inappropriate as THE mighty ASR who strike deals and made decisions within a blink of a moment was taking so much of a time to answer a simple question. Sameera was his fianc...they were soon going to get married but he was still not ready for physical closeness between them.

What was it that stopped him, made him so repulsive of her?? why couldn't he let her get close?

The silence all through the journey finally led him to a certain realization...he gathered out that it was His heart who dint approve of it!!!!! It had rebelled almost immediately ... they had known each other since so long but had never touched each other except some casual shaking of hands...as he came to think of it, he had never ever hugged any girl apart from khushi...

Well he never had any girlfriend as the first place so there's no question for it, but still being a man...he should have liked her getting so free and comfy with him...even the day he proposed her , he was so lost in his new found happiness but now as he rewind back the incident in his mind...he was not so keen about going on his knees and uttering those romantic lines to her which according to him was completely bullshit!!...and then the way she hugged him, his body had gone stiff for a moment or so...but then how could he forget, his bestie was standing even though in the farthest of corner, she was giving her silent support...waving her hands in between and congratulating him on the successful delivery of those ratto-fied lines , making his stance, relieved!

Sameera was over the moon, oblivious to the nagging thoughts disturbing arnav...she was still lost in the moment 15 minutes back, when both of them were walking together...and arnav completely ignored khushi just because SHE was with him and he was lost in their first kiss (even though it was only on the cheek)...he literally forgot everything else in her presence...it was only she, who mattered to him and the care and affection he bestowed upon her upstairs at his bed room was a clear proof to it...what more she could asked for???
