Hey! I just read your story in one go. Where do I begin what I want to say??
I really like how you have chosen to make Arnav a writer in this fic. Its refreshing after seeing him as a 'ruthless businessman' so many times! Kudos for that!
This story got to me because I can relate to Arnav's character like no tomorrow. It was as if you knew me and made a male version. From being the eldest sibling who was constantly deprived of attention to doing anything and everything to make your parents happy and then secretly continuing your desired occupation or passion. I also went down that road and studied whatever my dad wanted me to...the only different between me and Arnav in your fic is that I learned to like what I studied...I found things in that occupation that gave me joy but having said that...I'm a writer on IF...its something my parents definitely wouldn't approve of and I'm not quite good enough to be published..lol...so I write FFs on IF...anything that has to do with your parents right? Just like Arnav, I have kept this hobby of mine a secret from my family too...its like I lead one life at home and another on IF...
I was just so...touched (for the lack of a better word) at all these similarities between me and your lead character.
And now the odd part is...to some extent...I am like Khushi too...despite the situation with my parents..I love them to death and stuff...I'm also a DIY types...hehe..proud about it too...and I'm all about sporting those Ganjis and shorts.😆 Its like you took the halves of my personality, made them the two characters of your story...and BOOM...it clicked with me within a second.
It doesnt happen with a lot of stories for me...but with yours...I was engaged in it from the first paragraph. I didn't even realized that I'd stayed up all night reading through it.
Perhaps when I hit a writer's block, I should go to a secluded place and maybe I'll find my 'arnav' there..hehehehhe...
Now the thing that's the freshest in my mind...the last chapter...of course as fate would have it, they wont be able to meet when they'd expected to but I'm really hoping that this story ends on a happy note...
