Chapter 26

Asad was very, very angry on Zoya. He tried to control his anger but could not able to do it. There is a limit for everything and now she has crossed it. Text was okay but why this silent treatment. He tried many times to contact with her but seemed she was having fun. He could not concentrate any work, meetings and kept trying to reach to her but she did not respond. When he came back home after office went to his room and broke everything he found infront of him in his blind anger. Nazma ran towards his room but he did not open the door. Without thinking she called Dilshad to come home early cancelling her trip.

Asad thought again and went through her texts again. She cleared him that she thought that he cared for him but now she found that he is disgusting and boring. She did not want to spend her life with such a pretending person. So she did not coming back to India. She was asking for divorce. It will be the simple solution.

Asad thought all these things again and sighed. How can he live without her? He can remember Dilshad's saying about love

"Also being in love does not mean you will not live without that person all along. It means if that person is not with you would die but to live with the hope of love that one day maybe your wish of love can be fulfilled. Being in love is the most precious, peaceful feeling"

He was getting this peaceful, precious feeling but maybe Zoya was not getting it. Okay if she is happy with it. I will do everything what she wants. He wiped his tears and text-ed her.

When Dilshad reached home; she was welcomed with pure silence. She asked Nazma about what happened but she shrugged her head mouthing that she did not know. Dilshad gently knocked Asad's room door. "Come in" Asad said in a calm voice. Dilshad entered his room and gasped watching the destruction he had made.

"What happened? Is Zoya alright?" Dilshad asked in a soft tone. She can see her son cringed listening to Zoya's name. That means it is realated to Zoya.

"What happened to her Asad?" Dilshad nudged him again. Asad shook his head and remained silent.

After a few moments he said in a whisper "She wants divorce Ammi. She does not want to come back."

Dilshad was shocked; she never thought this was coming. She looked at Asad in disbelief "woh..but..how I mean why..."

"I don't know Ammi, maybe she does not love me" Asad told her blatantly.

"Wait, how is that come from...I mean do you love her, Asad? Dishad asked the million dollar question.

"Yes" Asad said to her without thinking. Dilshad grinned, she knew it, but it is really good to hear from his mouth that too for the first time. With over excitement she hugged him and exclaimed loudly "Congratulations!!"

Asad cringed again "Ammi she is asking for divorce and you are congratulating me."

"Of course I am. My son expressed for the first time that he is in love that too with his own wife, not the other girl and this is a good news, no?" Dishad laughed out loud.

Asad pinched the bridge of his nose.

"She also loves you, buddhu" Dilshad smacked his forehead.

Asad shot up his eyes, with a hope that she was telling the truth. Dillshad nodded her head.

"How do you know? Is she said it to you?" Asad inquired.

"We know it from the first when you both were not knowing, Bhaijaan" Nazma answered this time, entering the room with three mugs of coffee. She handed them one by one and sat near her Bhaijaan.

She told the entire story how she discovered Zoya's feelings and how they made up plans for their patch up and why they backed off.

Asad was bewildered. He knew his Ammi is a planner but his sister? She is more than his Ammi. At that moment he understood his sister indeed became mature. That's why he was getting marriage proposals for her. H was not considering it before but now he might think about it.

"But why is she asking for divorce? She called me last night everything seems alright then" Dlshad asked Asad.

This time Asad filled them about what happened between him and Zoya.

"What?" Dishad was aghast. "If she asked divorce following a prank then this is not serious."

"Ammi I also thought that but she did not pick up my call nor did call back." Asad explained to her.

"But why you sent those texts? And why you are ready for it? If she is doing wrong, then you are also doing wrong. I know it is a serious issue and she needs learn a lesson but don't punish her without knowing her state. Think about it" dilshad said to him.

Asad thought about it and said "okay. But she never had shown me that she loved me, she likes me yes but love?"

Dilshad looked at him for a long time. Nazma went to her room for some work.

"Asad I need to tell you something, I thought it will be better if Zoya herself say it to you but now I think you should know it." Dilsad said softly.

"What is it?"

"It is about Zoya of course. 5 years ago she faced some problems. Zeenat fixed her marriage with their neighbors son. Zoya agreed to it because of Zeenat. But the boy wanted physical relation with Zoya before marriage but Zoya did not agree with him. The boy was very angry with her. After some days, Zoya thought she was over reacting as they were really going to tie the knot within 15 days. So she went to his home to patch up with him but saw him with another girl on his bed. She was shocked and went to her home. She said nothing to anyone as she was alone in the house; that night the boy came to her room. He did not know that Zoya knew everything about him. That night he tried to take advantage of Zoya. But somehow Zoya managed to flee away but she had gone under a traumatic situation. From that time she was suffering from a disorder. She felt uneasy and fear to come closer to anyone." Dilshad finished Zoya's dark past.

Asad clenched his fists and tried to think about it. He now can understand why Zoya got terrified whenever they were alone in home or in a room.She actually felt insecure that time. He can understand what she had gone through, how tough it was for her.

"She did not tell me about it" Asad whispered in a hoarse tone.

"I know" Dilshad answered.

"Ammi, can you help me for something?" Asad asked to her.

"Yes, tell me" Dilshad nodded.

Zoya was sitting on her room. It was Sunday morning and her Jeeju took her Aapi to the hospital. She tried to contact with Asad from last three days. But he did not pick up her calls. She also video chatted with Nazma and Dilshad but could not tell them about it. But Asad was deliberately avoiding her. She saw he was standing on the dining area when Nazma called her yesterday morning. Nazma was sitting on the living area and Asad came there to drink water before going to sleep.

She sighed and again connected to Nazma. Nazma and Dilshad both were waiting for her. They talk about some times. Zoya could not able to take it anymore and asked them about Asad.

"Where is Mr. Khan, Ammi? He is angry on me and not talking to me. I want to say sorry but he does not pick up my call"

"He is here. Tell him now." Dilshad smiled at her.

"Where? I could not see him. Mr. Khan, please come into the frame. I need to talk" Zoya said aloud.

"He is in the frame Zoya. But you could not able to see him until you turn around".Nazma giggled at her.

Zoya was baffled for sometimes. Then she understood what Nazma had said to her. She abruptly stood up and the chair, on which she was sitting, fell with a bang on the wooden floor. She slowly turned around and saw the devil was smiling with his killer dimples, looking lovingly at her. Without wasting any time she ran to him and launched herself on him, wrapping her both legs around his waist. Oh boy!! What was she doing?

Nama cut the Video call and sighed. Finally the love-birds are in the same house, alone for sometimes.

Dilshad and Nazma again smiled, looking at each other. Then they retired for their respective room. They can sleep peacefully now after three long days.
