"Aman, how many more are left for the interview?" Arnav Singh Raizada barked into his Bluetooth.
"1... 1... more sir" a terrified Aman replied
"Chuck him out... he has got the nerves to be late."Arnav, irritated by his Di and her husband, Anjali and Shyam, vented his frustration on his P.A.
"Actually ... It's a lady sir" came a meek reply.
"Then that's much worse... isn't it? Ask her to get the hell out of my office." Arnav was now irritated with Aman.
"But ... but sir"
"Spit it out. Will you?"
"Her designs are amazing" Aman's voice was too low that Arnav barely missed it.
"Shut up. I do not care."
"But..."
Arnav had already cut the phone.
Aman looked apologetically to the woman in front of him. She looked a bit annoyed.
"I am so sorry miss" Aman apologized. "Boss said the time is over for the interview and he's very busy with other works. He has apologized to you very sincerely." Aman lied. He could not say that his boss' had asked her to get the hell out of his office', could he? Well for the he has apologized to you' part... well... that was... ahem... ahem...
The woman had a small smile on her lips as he said that the boss had apologized to her.
"That's okay," she said still smiling "but could you give these files to him?"
"Oh yes miss..."he said. "Oh my god! I am late. I have to attend a conference now. Since boss will not be attending it, I have to be in charge!"
He looked so worried that her smile widened.
"Could you please keep the files in boss's cabin?" he asked.
"Where exactly is ...?"
Aman was running. He turned, "go straight. Take left. Walk until you see steps. Climb up and you can see a glass cabin...keep the files there."
Aman was out of sight even before she could say thank you!
"I said NO," shouted an angry Arnav.
"But you have to chotte" replied his di
"And why in the whole world do I HAVE TO, di?"
"Because I will neither eat any food nor talk to you," Anjali replied, her eyes twinkling with mischief.
Shyam sniggered at his wife's mischief and his Saale sahib's condition.
{NOTE: Shyam is not evil in this story.}
"You will do no such thing!"Arnav said, shocked
"Oh yes! I will...," replied his di
"Saale sahib, you do know that she will do what she threatens to do ... right?"
Arnav looked at his jeeju, exasperated.
"Chotte, you never do what I ask you to do" Anjali said crying.
"What...?" Arnav looked confused
Anjali held up three fingers, "I ask you to take leave from office, you do not take leave"
Anjali folded one finger.
"How can I take leave from my own company?"
"I ask you to marry, you run away"
Anjali folded another finger.
"Seriously di? I thought that matter was closed!"
"Now I ask you to do this small favor... and see ..."she starts crying
Shyam patted her arm trying to control his laughter. He knew there was no tear behind those hands that now covered her face.
Arnav, however, ran to her "I am sorry di. I really am. I will go. Please stop crying."
Anjali was shaking... with laughter.
Arnav's eyes moistened as he saw his sister shaking with tears. "I said I am sorry di. I will go there."
Anjali looked up, as she was laughing so bad, her eyes had tears. Arnav mistook it for real and wiped them off.
"Chotte ..." called Anjali, "promise?"
"I promise"
Khusi kumari gupta was walking without knowing the place. She walked and walked until she reached a glass cabin. She recalled how Aman had very efficiently lied to her about his boss, whoever he was, had apologized to her. She had perfectly heard what his boss had actually asked him to do. Nevertheless, it was actually very sweet of Aman not to make her worried.
She opened the door to the very strict boss's cabin. The office was so tidy that she was sure that she would not find a speck of dust even from the corners of the room.
She laughed at the fact that she still did not know who this boss' was. Even though she knew he would not appoint her, she wanted to keep her designs for him to see. She had worked hard on these designs and did not want them to get rejected like this.
She kept the files on his too clean' table and turned to go. She left the office without even noticing the fact that her favorite chain fell on the perfectly tidy' floor. Who knew that a very much' angry young man would soon see it...?
Arnav was very much annoyed at his sister for tricking him to go to that place... the place that held too many memories...sweet memories that got blanketed by horrors that still haunt him...
However, Arnav Singh Raizada was a man of his word. He had given a promise unfortunately, and he will fulfill it.
He was driving to his office to get away from his sister's planning for that place'.
He reached the office and stormed to his cabin. He threw angry glances here and there. On his way, he saw Aman.
"Did you see the designs, sir?"
"What?"
"N...Nothing" and he scarpered.
"What's with him?" thought Arnav.
He opened the door of his cabin and walked to his chair. He sat on it and closed his eyes.
When he opened his eyes, the first thing he noticed was that something glittered on the floor. He went and saw that it was a chain... a chain with the letter k' for a locket...
"What the..."
He was about to throw it in the dustbin when he saw a file on his table.
He took it and sat on his chair.
After looking thoroughly throughout the file, all that came out of his mouth was,
"Amazing"
The designs were eloquent. The dresses were perfectly drawn. The type of perfection that He needed was overflowing in the papers he held now.
"AMAN" he called.
Aman came running to his office.
"Yes sir?"
"Double the salary of Amphora. These designs are too good."
{Amphora is a designer at AR designs. She is an Italian, hence the name.}
"But those designs were kept by the miss who came today."
"Miss?"
"The one who was to be interviewed. Sir."
"Damn. Did she leave?"
"Yes sir. She left almost an hour ago."
"Did she leave any personal info about her?"
"No sir. In fact she didn't even say her name!" Aman shook his head at his foolishness. "She asked just to give these designs to you. I was busy with a conference so I asked her to keep these designs here herself."
Arnav turned "that explains the chain."
"Explains what sir?"
"Nothing. Leave"
