Goa
Varad put his and Sojsl's luggage in the hall of their suite when they reached five star hotel in Goa. He tipped the bell boy generously and went to the en suite to freshen up leaving Sojal on her own. She wandered around the suite which was more like a luxurious 2 bhk apartment, and opened each and every door and closet checking up on everything. She was like Alice stuck in a wonderland seeing everything in awe. Varad came out of the bathroom and was making way for Sojal when the door from the adjoining room burst opened and Ramona emerged wearing nothing but a silky red robe not seeing Sojal and purred "Varad. What took you so long? I have reached here since morning...Oh; your wife is here too?"Sojal fumed seeing the sheer audacity of the women to just come in without invitation and that too in a skimpy little number. She threw daggers at her and Varad who looked slightly guilty and went towards Ramona uttering "You just get out of my room right now. First go and get dressed in some decent clothes if you could manage and then knock on the door waiting for my permission before entering. Got it?" to which a shocked Ramona muttered some protests like "Wait you just can't order me. How dare you insult me like this? Varad say something to your wife". Sojal stopped her in her babbling saying "My husband will not say anything to me. And as for my dare, I am your boss' wife and I could get you fired right now. So out before I call security and get you escorted out of the hotel premise." Ramona left after Varad signalled her to quietly leave the room and said "Sojal don't you think you where quiet rude towards Ramona. Poor girl was just coming over to discuss some business" to which Sojal looked as if she was positively ready to kill when is retorted back "Seriously? You are siding with her on this. Are you that naive or stupid? What kind of business she wanted to discuss being practically half naked? I know what kind of business are discussed when a girl enters the room of her married boss dressed like that? Now, I get it. Why you didn't wanted anyone to come along. Tell me Varad how long has this being going on? How long have you being seeing her?" Now Varad became red with anger seeing the lack of trust in his wife's eyes hardening his resolve for non- reconciliation. He angrily said "Sojal think whatever you want to or believe whatever you want to believe but the truth is I never had an affair with her. I confess that sometimes back I did get tempted to cheat on you but I didn't" to which Sojal just laughed out hysterically saying "You must think I am so stupid. You booked two rooms next to each other with connecting door and she had a key to your room. All these arrangements must be made around last week. So forgive me for not believing you. I will attend this function and then when we return back to Pune and we go back to way the things were before. Now excuse me I have to get ready for the ceremony".
Ahmedabad
After 3 months
Long distance relationships are difficult concluded Astha after battling with it herself. Initially they spent each and every spare minute with each other constantly on the phone or over the laptops and I-pads sharing each and every boring detail of their lives. Her friends at work and even Vishwas complained about the amount of time she spent on the electronic gadgets and how unhealthy it was for both of them. But she didn't heed any of those advises and created a world of their own talking on the phone whole night and texting each other the entire day like teenagers. It was like falling in love for the first time and for Astha falling in love for the second time around with the same person.
But lately, for the last few weeks she struggled to find time to chat with Shlok, to text him and rarely Skype him but it was not the same as being near each other. The same goes for Shlok who was in his neck with work load and pressure for successful launch of his dream project still juggling to find time and communicate with Astha. It was difficult to maintain balance between work and marriage and take time out of their busy schedule for each other. Although science and technology lessened the Physical distance but broadened the emotional distance between the couple straining their already fragile relationship to a point where one of them had to take an initiative or stand to loose it altogether if something was not done to prevent it.
Thinking this, Astha boarded the plan to Pune after quitting her job and already to surprise her husband on their upcoming one year marriage anniversary.
Hey guys...I must apologize to you all for such a short update but not to worry the next update will be a long and fulfilling one. I am gravely sad to inform you all that this is my second last update of the story and the next chapter will be the last...Yes guys I know you all are sad that the story will end soon but I think it was time as A journey has to end.
