Part 10

Arnav: Khushi kal Di, Jeejaji are spending night in the Hotel. Mrs Raizada is going to Nainital again and Nani sleeps early you know that. Think wisely. I swear never to hurt you in my life even if you need some more time for this. I am with you.

She blushed hard knowing his intentions and was really happy to know he was giving her time too. They heard someone coughing at the Kitchen door. It was Nani who came down for water. Arnav moved back whereas Khushi also became very conscious now.

Nani: Bitiya, Chotte? You both didn't sleep yet?

Arnav: Nani Khushi ke kaam khatam hi nahi hote hai.

Khushi was silent.

Nani: Khushi bitiya, you don't need to work so much. If Chotte was calling you, why didn't you go?

Khushi: Jee woh Nani I was arranging things here.

Nani: Someone else will do all this. You go.

Arnav: See. Now even Nani gave you the permission to get back in our room. Come.

He extended his hand for her to hold but she didn't held him. She hugged Nani wishing her a Good night and then left with Arnav for their room.

They both were sleeping next to each other holding hands and staring in each others eyes.

Khushi: I loved Gol Gappe's (Pani Puri) but I never got a chance to eat them frequently.

Arnav: How did you learn all this cooking then?

Khushi: There was a maid appointed specially for cooking for my father and me. And I learned some things from her in his absence..

Arnav: Khushi did he ever tell you where he got you from? I mean you said he is not your real father. Then how did he meet you ? How did you reach him?

Khushi: I never asked him that. I hardly spoke to him Arnav. Even if I wanted to speak anything to him, I never had the courage because he was drunk most of the times. And I was afraid that he would hurt me. So I never spoke anything to him which was unneccesary.

She looked very disturbed again remembering her past . He moved her wrist towards his lips and then kissed her fingers gently. She moved her hand back and then turned the table lamp off.

Khushi: We should sleep.

Arnav: Haan. But you didnt answer one important thing yet.

Khushi: Kya?

Arnav: Our plans for tomorrow night.

She could once again feel her cheeks turning red when he asked her this.

Khushi: Hum Sochke bataayenge. (I will think and answer)

She chuckled and pulling the quilt on her , she turned the other side not facing him. He wrapped his arm on her waist and then closed his eyes too. He knew she needed time which was right in one way.

Once again the morning was pleasant for Khushi when she opened her eyes realising he was taking his shower. Why does she always gets up late? She was his wife. Shouldnt she wake up early and assist him in his work? Uff. She got up and thats when she heard the bathroom door opening a bit and he peeped out .

Arnav: Khushi pass my Towel.

Khushi: Jee?

Arnav: Jee haan. I forgot to carry it inside.

Khushi: Ohh. One minute.

She saw his Towel on the other side of the bed which she picked and handed it to him from a distance.

Arnav: Khushi how am I supposed to take it .

Khushi turned her face the other side not to see the water dripping from his hair and falling on his broad shoulders. She covered few more steps towards him and then handed him the towel but she felt a strong pull by him and in no time she was taken insid e the washroom , pinned at the door by his strong arms and wet body. She had never expected this from him. He was already in a Towel which was wrapped on his lower half.

Khushi: You lied to me?

Arnav: No.

Khushi: Yes you did. You said you dont have a Towel.

Before she could continue, he placed his finger gently on her lips to shut her up. Her eyes rolled to see his finger in her lips and then looked back at his face.

Arnav: I said I forgot to carry the towel inside. I use two towels Khsuhi. One for wrapping myself and the other for wiping . Didnt you know?

She was understanding his intentions which made her blush more hard. She tried to hide herself from his eyes but it was next to impossible. He slid his finger over her face making her shiver. She closed her eyes breathing hard and tried to walk away pushing him but he caught hold of her hand and then made her stand once again in the same position. Her quiverring lips were inviting him, seducing him and he couldnt wait long to claim them but the moment he tried closing the gap between them, she looked aside making his lips touch her cheeks.

Arnav: Khushi am I doing wrong?

She didnt reply and he stepped back seeing her uneasiness.

Khushi: I know we are married but just signing some papers doesnt bind us together in real terms Arnav. So. I was thinking if you and I, humaara matlab hai ki.

She was not hesitating to tell her what she intends but he could read her.

Arnav: Lets get married with full rituals. ? Thats what you want?

She smiled and noded in agreement.

Arnav smirked back

Arnav: So this means all this will happen only after that?

Khushi: Its upto you now. I wont deny you if you still claim your rights on me even now.

Arnav loved her reply. This innoncence and understanding was the main reason he had fell in Love with her since years. He stepped back.

Arnav: What you said is enough for me to wait till that night Khushi. I will tell Nani and Di about our decision on remarrying. I cant wait to actually fulfill these rituals with you.

She thnaked him with her eyes and then placed the Towel on his shoulders.

Khushi: Come out soon. I will wipe your head.

She amazed him again by this gesture and then came out of the washroom.

Evening

Anjali and Nani were already excited for this approval from Khsuhi and Arnav for the remarriage and the sudden come back of her mother Astha made her more happy. Astha was little taken aback seeing Khushi so happily sitting with her family .

Anjali: Nani look even Maa came back.

Anjali hugged her mother as she couldn't stop herself from letting this matter out. Nani and Khushi were sitting at the Couch whereas Arnav was working on his Laptop, very much aware of the fact that his mother was back home.

Anjali : Maa. We have a good news for you. Chotte and Khushi Bhabhi have agreed for the re-marriage. Isn't that great? I have already talked to Panditji and since CHotte doesn't wish to spend much time on this, tomorrow's date is fixed.

Astha Raizada couldn't believe this. She looked at Khushi who seemed to be blushing all the while as her Chotte kept on stealing glances of hers in between. How can this happen? Just a day back she had told Khushi that Arnav was the one who had paid money to her step father for buying her. Then how can she agree for this marriage?

Nani: Astha. Why are you so shocked? Come and bless your son and daughter in law for this news.

Astha: How did this happen?

Nani: Why are you thinking all that? You should be happy that now you will get to see the marriage of your Son. Good you came back early . We just have a day and so many things are pending.

Astha faked a smile and Khushi got up from the couch to take her blessings. She knew Astha wasnt happy with this remarriage. Because she hardly knew that Khushi was really her Daughter in law.

Khushi smled at Astha purposely before bending and Astha just faked some blessing to her before the family

Anjali : Chotte. What are you waiting for ? COme and take the blessings of Maa.

Arnav got up.

Arnav: I never needed her blessings Di. I am good without them.

Astha didnt like what he said. As usual he was insulting him before everyone. He went back to his room and Astha turned to Khushi. Nani and Anjali felt bad and Khushi was still confused why there was so much distance between the son and mother. While Nani and Anjali tried to continue their plans on the preparations, Astha took this opportunity to drag Khushi aside and talk to her alone.

Khushi: Saasuma , you are hurting my wrist. Leave me.

Astha stopped and angrily pointed a finger at her.

Astha: Dont call me Sasuma.

Khsuhi: But husband's mother is called Sasuma only.

Astha: I wont let this marriage happen. What did you think? You will fool my son and be his wife forever ? He may be innocent and fallen for your charms but I am not. I will never let you claim my rights in this house.

Khushi had expected this.

Khushi: Your and my rights are different in this house Sasuma. And I am not stealing anything from this place or family. Your thoughts and my thoughts about this family are different. Being a part of this family, you have always tried to hurt the people here. But me being an outsider still values the love that each and everyone here have given me. Be it Naniji, Anjaliji or Arnavji. There are many things which you dont know Mrs Raizada, which I came to know only because you thought of instigating a fight between me and your Son. Thanks to you. If you wouldnt have told me all that truth, I would have never come to know my real position in this house. Anjaane mein hi sahi, aapne kissi ka bhala toh kiya.

Astha: What truth?? What position are you talking about??

Khushi: I am your Son's real wife. And your daughter in law.

Astha was stunned to know this.

Khushi: We are legally married and have proofs for that. Its such an irony that the person whom I wished to go away from thinking he will harm me, is none other my husband. And the person who saved me from that major accident was his mother who is somewhere the reason of our togetherness today.

Astha's mind was juggling between truth and fake. Khushi was really her bahu?? Was this a good news for her ??

Another shock for Mrs. Raizada.. Whatever she is planning did it hit a major roadblock? Let the marriage happen as early as possible, can't wait to see them together.. Maybe they'll go on Honeymoon to Nanitaal only and catch upon what Aastha is planning!
