Yeah, back. Had to...
For all those of you who I sort of left hanging in there [Read: Shaz, Meera and Yogini especially], I am really really sorry. Like really!
Two things had gone ultra wrong:
1. Taani's entry as the "new girl".
2. Sneha Kapoor's exit later [Disaster for major fans. Example: me].
Enough to bring a halt to my fan-fiction ideas.
About the introduction of D3's version of a new girl [who has already been made to exit...strange PH I must say], I felt cheated as a fan who had been loyal to the show since Episode#1, to have to see an important character like Rey falling for someone as mundane as TS.
The fault lied not in the actress, because she did the best she could. She looked good, acted fine, and was pretty sweet with her fans. I had issues with the CV's nonetheless. Taani the character is a classic case of "Impulsive Brainstorming -Lazy Writing".
Couldn't Vrinda Dawda have been made to portray a stronger, more vibrant character? I think yes. She could have done a great job.
Common sense...if the CV's knew she cannot dance at par with the rest of the gang, give her meatier tracks...instead of the whole lovestruck-Rey-ki-deewani-and then cheating to get to him-and so much more!
Anyhow, having said this, let me add, this is my personal opinion...that I hope I am entitled to have.
But I do understand these are not reasons enough to quit a script midway. And even I want to know what happens in the end [because I haven't written anything yet...in the process] 😳
Do SwaRon make it? What happens with KriyaAnsh ultimately? And how do MaTtie [as Shaz named them] end up together?
