Just loved the whole concept of Arnav's SUV describing the life-changing events in his owner's life... brought back some bittersweet memories! I was bowled over by the SUV introducing itself, especially the line about coughing every 5 miles, making it sound old and worn out! The result was me head butting an electricity pole... loved the play on words! I am sure my master is going to celebrate it privately with his wife once the kids are asleep... such tongue-in-cheek quips made my day. Their proximity would make the both of them excited, I could feel their hearts quicken through the layers of the seat. But they would do nothing and I would be left to expel a snort of carbon monoxide from my exhaust pipe. Really, my master could be such a fool around her! Imagine even his SUV got frustrated with his cluelessness and pig-headedness! My tyres skid in glee, as I imagined them finally kissing... almost as if it were one of the drooling masses of fan-girls! So they were allowed to.. procreate... damn 🤣! I had shut my engine and headlights, in case you think I was watching them. I have a semblance of shame in me, which is more than I can say for some of you! Genius! For a moment my worn tyres had become new as happiness had overtaken me; my horn blared slightly louder that day and the headlights were a tad crisper... reminds one of an old and trusted man-servant sharing in the joy of his employers. The passing of time has been aptly portrayed... He will not sell me. He might keep me in the garage and allow me to rest, but he will not part with an important part of his, and his wife's life... so true, as Arnav has finally learnt to appreciate and value the little things in life... the last few lines bring a lump to one's throat, reminding one of a benevolent elder watching over others and recalling days of past glory!
