When it rains, it pours - and I want to pour all whirlwind thoughts out of my mind after reading this chapter.
Yeah, after reading about that kiss I too wanted to be a poet, to do justice in expressing my thoughts about the most sensuous and delightful kiss you wrote so aesthetically. I just want to relish it and not write anything.
S, hands down I give it you; the kind of roller-coaster ride of emotions you taking us on, is brilliant.
From passionate kiss between Arnav and Khushi,
the emotional and angry clash between Anjali and Arnav,
the dreamy musings of Khushi about her first kiss and
the intense confrontation of Arnav and Khushi.
I was nervous as I didn't know how Arnav was going to behave and react but I knew one thing that Khushi, will stand her ground and speak her mind.
The state of mind Arnav was in I think he would have behaved the same irrespective of who was in Khushi's position. The fact that it was Khushi, probably made him more vulnerable because he didn't want her to see his past or his weaknesses and above all judge him. When he realized that she has seen the weak side of him, in his anger and haste he laid all his insecurities out in the open for her. Though he knew that he was wrong in going behind his family, I think a part of him desperately wanted Khushi to understand him and support him. When that didn't happen all hell broke and so did the dam of his rage that he unleashed on Khushi and poured in that kiss. And his ego was too bruised to make her understand or have a sane conversation with her.
Khushi was right on two counts; first pulling cigarette out Arnav's mouth and then telling the truth out loud that he already knows but doesn't want to acknowledge.
She definitely touched a raw nerve by bringing his mother into the conversation and maybe she should have taken a step back and not been so direct and forthright in her statements. But then if you have that level of maturity then you are an 18 year old. If Arnav had controlled his anger and understood what Khushi was saying then he wouldn't be 23 year old hot-blooded, who think they can conquer the world singlehandedly.

Chapter 16
S,
First, thank you for bringing Shadow back. I missed him.
You every chapter of your story makes me travel to my childhood or teen days. Ah! How many times I had said to myself "If tomorrow never comes".
There are many things I like about, Khushi. But one thing that stood out in this chapter was, she doesn't blame others for anything that happens to her and takes responsibility. Here Arnav clearly hurt her and humiliated her, yet she is taking responsibility for her own heartache. But that doesn't mean she will let anybody walk all over her heart and pride, she will stand up when needed.
Strange are the ways of heart!! The whole household is focusing on Khushi and her see off but her heart and eyes are looking for the only person who is hurt her and ignoring her.
I am glad Arnav realized his mistake and want to share his plans with Nani and his mama and I am even happy that he understands that he hurt Khushi and his behavior was sickening.
I am with Arnav, Khushi should have slapped him. I would have liked that!! Though I wanted the slap, I still like him because he apologized to Khushi and accepted his mistake and took responsibility of his irresponsible behavior.
Arnav truly cares for Khushi, he cannot see her hurt and he knows that he or anybody like him in her life will only cause her heartache. Hence, the warning "stay away from guys like me".
S, I want to say that this was perfect ending and I was very content with it. As much as Khushi yearned to be with Arnav, as much as Arnav apologized for his behavior, the time is not right for them to be together. They are still young and need to experience bit of their own life before they let their hearts rule again and before destiny brings them face to face again.
Seeds of first love and attraction have been sowed in their hearts and its only matter of time before they start blooming.
