SS: Lessons in Love.. (Thread 1 )
A powerful, rich, arrogant and ruthless Arnav Singh Raizada marries a just turned 18 year old Khushi a traditional, obeying simple small town girl he had no intention of falling in love with her, he had no intention of falling in love with anyone for that matter. There was no shortage of beautiful women in his life, women who were much more prettier and satisfying of his needs than an barely turned naive 18 year old could be but none of them were 'marriage material'.
Khushi was marriage material, a scape goat, a formality, a girl that his family would approve of, a girl that would probably go on to bear his child at the most if that. He had chosen her with purpose.. a purpose in which he could carry on living his life as he deemed fit yet keep his family happy and Khushi was perfect. Too traditional and innocent to question his ways. For her a family such as his and his permission to complete her studies made her happy, she looked for nothing more, it was a picture perfect world. She would spend most of her time studying, and when she wasn't she would play amateur bahu to Raizada house. Khushi was still young only just having turned 18, Nani, anjali and the rest of the family members were accepting of the fact that Khushi was still teenage at heart and they didn't have a problem with that, especially when Arnav himself did not seem to care either. In time she would mold into the ideal bahu and wife well that was the general conscious for the family members, Arnav however had didn't care in the least, he had chosen her for this naive quality of hers, a quality which meant he would be dominant.
For Khushi she hadn't thought about all that yet, nor had she thought much about being a wife, she just continued being the way she was, with the extra addition of A. Raizada at the end. Arnav was too engrossed in his business life and Khushi still very much a teenager at heart her world was about finishing off studies which were just, eating, dreaming, cooking ..enjoying life with an innocence like no other.
Arnav Singh Raizada had played things just the way he wanted them to be he was living on his own terms and others were too. Khushi kept the family happy and Laavanya kept him happy that is until meeting with an serious accident..and realising in time of need his 18 year old newly wed bride was the only one by his side. Not Laavanya, not any other girl Khushi.
Thus acknowledging Khushi properly for the first time, as Innocent and naive as Khushi was she was young, pretty, virtuous..pure.. untouched and awaiting his love. Introducing her to a world of desire and intimacy and unintentionally paying her more attention that he had planned to he may have been giving his innocent wife lessons in the physical form of love but she was teaching him something far more valuable...a more purer form of love.

Chapter 1
City hospital, a warmly lit up hospital room carrying a warmth by the incoming rays of sunlight through the window an 18 girl sits by the side of an unconscious Arnav Singh Raizada, As she carefully shaves his face her proximity ment she could hear his steady heartbeat as she skillfully moved the blade in a slow motion over the white shaving cream careful as not to cut him. She couldn't help but admire how handsome he was even in this state. His features sharp, skin tone an warm, it was the first time in which she looked at him in so much detail, and only because she was at this proximity.
Disturbed by a slight knock at the door of the room, Khushi wipes of the excess of shaving cream from the side of his face and then looks towards the door. It was just who she had expected, Anjali. - "Ham andar aakaste hai?."("Can I come in?") she said in a smile.."Khushi nodding a yes..watched Anjali walk into the room,
"Ham na ek atchi kabar layey hai.. doctor ne kaha hai..Arnav ab pehle se bohot behtaar hai.. Kuch ghanton mein une hosh ajayeyga." ("I've got good news, the doctor had said Arnav is much better than before and will regain his consciousness soon." )A smile evident on Khushis face, she couldn't have asked for anything more. The clock in the room making a sound at the strike on the hour, 8am and as Anjali looks to the clock she recalls something Khushi had forgotten.
"Khushiji aaj toe aap ki exam hai naa??" (Haven't you got an exam today Khushi ji?) --- "Hai devi maya..atcha hua aap ne yaad dilayay di.."(O god thanks for reminding me di") Looking towards the time and then the stack of books by the chairs at the side of the room Khushi had studied all night for this exam yet managed to completely forget about it this morning. She had yet to get home, get ready, go to mandir in all the space of an hour.
Just as she tries to get up at the thought of all these things she feels something pulling her down on her dress, unable to move she looks down at her attire to find her mangalsutra hooked to his shirt. A little taken by surprise Khushi fumbles to unhook it a little while Anjali at a distance sees the symbolism in the moment a smiles.
Finally managing to get up Khushi picks up her books, her pink Indian jola bag that complements her dress and is ready to go. Anjali wishing Khushi "Best of luck Khushi ji." Watches Khushi leave with a smile but looks into the air a little praying Khushi would pass this time around.
...
A little later in the afternoon, and Arnav Singh Raizada having regained consciousness after 3 days, sits up in his hospital bed like nothing had happened at all, those flowers, his change of clothes, medicines all ready for him, and he felt freshly shaven. Apart from the feeling of a fresh wound and dressing to the left of his shoulder under his white shirt he could sense that someone had been looking after him and the first person he thought of after his di was Lavanya.
...Mean while Khushi coming to the end of her exam drastically writes in her exam booklet her devimaya idol watching over as she does.

Back at city hospital picking up his phone from the side table Arnav dials Laavanyas number puts it to ear but finds it unreachable. Dialing again as per nature, getting a little irritated at how his call seemed not to redirected to an operator. His eyes taken off his handset when hearing his sisters voice."Aap yey kis ko phone kar rahe hai chote ham toe yahi hai.. ("who are you ringing??I'm here chote.. ? ") That smile on his sisters face and seeing her after what felt like a long time comforted Arnav but he was still irritated at the way he couldn't get through to Laavanya. "Jaante hai chote doctor ne kaha hai aap ab ghar aakate hai." (" The Doctor has said you can come on Arnav.")
Arnavs attention still a little partial Anjali could see that he was trying to get through to Laavanya and it was time to confront him with what had gone on during his laps in health. "Hame aapse kuch baat karne hai Arnav, Laavanya ji ke bare mein." (I need to talk to Arnav about Laavanya.) Having got his attention Anjali wondered how she was going to tell him this, even though he would never admit it somewhere in his heart of hearts he had feelings for Laavanya.
...
Back outside the college building Khushi awaits a rickshaw all she could think of was all those questions she wasn't sure about, how she hoped she would pass this time. Managing to jump into a free rickshaw Khushi who was busy worrying about her exam is distracted by the sound of a baaraat (wedding procession) that goes past. Taking her back to her own wedding Khushi recalls her wedding day, how scared she was sitting next to the man who would be her sole life companion and knowing that she was marrying none other Arnav Singh Raizada. An considerable about of braking from the driver to halt the car outside the hospital draws Khushi from her thoughts....
The way in which Anjali took a seat at Arnavs bedside and put her hand over his told Arnav that whatever she was about to tell him she considered imperative to him. "Laavanyaji ne shaadhi kar li chote aur woh apne pati ke saath chali gayi hai..US" (Laavanya married and left with her husband for the U.S Arnav.)There was a stunned silence in the room, his eyes just solemnly on his sister for a moment. This was going to happen sooner or later, he didn't expect her to be his mistress all her life. He wouldn't have wanted that for her but then there was this sense of possessiveness over her too, why he would never no. She clearly isn't worth it was his next thought, whilst he lay unconscious she happily married another man and left him!. - good riddance to her! The intense silence in the room broken by the opening of the door both sets of eyes watch Khushi walk into the room, stubble a little and then stand at a corner her eyes dotting around a little after locking with his.
Aptly changing the subject, "Jab aap behosh they na Arnav toe Khushi ji ne aap ka khyal rakha.. (Khushi looked after you when you were unconscious Arnav.)
That was the very first time he gave her a second thought, the 18 year old he had married to keep his family happy had always been irrelevant to him but was by his side at his time of need. As he looked towards her a glance , her eyes drawn to the floor knowing he was looking her way. Not noticing the connect between the two of them Anjali looks around the hospital room and thinks of packing away Arnavs things. "Atcha khushi ji aap Arnav ka saaman pack karne mein hamari madat karenge please, hame ghar bhi toe jaana hai." ("Khushiji will you help me pack away Arnavs things?") Khushi nodding a yes gets on with helping Anjali.
... A little later as Arnavs hospital room is cleared and his belongings are put into the car Khushi walks into the room one last time to make sure nothing that been left behind. Walking into Arnav with his back turned to her he seemed to be on the phone talking business as his conversation comes to an end Khushi watches him pick up his blazer that lays astray on the bed and just as he is about to put it on over his white shirt she interrupts. "Dard hoga.." ("It will cause discomfort")
Turning towards her his eyes give a slightly questioning look, he was ASR, pain was nothing new. Watching her face crease a little as he puts on his blazer. Khushi knowing of the injury to his shoulder anticipated the pain of straining his posture, her eyes shut tightly, she couldn't watch, opening them only when hearing footsteps Khushi opens her eyes to see him having left the room.

Next chapter:
As Aman sits in front of ASR at his desk the silence in the room and ASR's bad mood was obvious to Aman. "I know you don't like talking about personal matters in the office but I cant help but notice that you are disturbed. Forget about her ASR, shes married and so are you."
The truth was that it was bothering him and without having realized he lets his words slip. Shes hardly ..--- and stops. Aman knew where his words were going.
Aman: "Laavanya..she isn't laavanya..right"
Arnav didn't appreciate this conversation he had his own take on the situation. "Shes nothing but a teenager.." Reminding ASR of his own decision to marry Khushi.. Amans words turn around Arnavs negative spin on his marriage. Speaking with a sense of ease Aman was simply rewording what Arnav had said to him when choosing Khushi for marriage. "Isn't that why you chose to marry her in the first place ASR?, innocence is a good thing..every woman is a girl till she is turned..a lady that is.. count yourself lucky...you will be the very first and last man in her life.
...
Khushi opens a white sealed envelope containing exam results whilst..Anjali looks on in anticipation. Reading the term - FAIL - on the statement Khushis eyes begin to tear up.
