UPDATEDI knew you would kick that "Shyam" out!!!!
😃
First of all, sorry for the late updates-but real life has a way of changing plans unexpectedly...😔
I loved how you wove the hut scene into the story...as you promised, you have been using scenes from the show, in this story and giving it your own tweak...in fact the placement of this scene here, seemed more plausible to me...than on the show...👏
Awww...interruption time, yet again...this time, its Akash ...😃
And ha!!!😃 An abandoned hut in a remote area- Akash has decided to "rescue" his bhai and bhabhi/saali himself...😆
"Khushi...Tum theek ho?" Arnav asked, very much aware of the passionate moment they had just been interrupted from.
Yes, we, the readers are aware too...I always ponder on the what ifs, what might have beens...but then I do have an over-active imagination, you know..😉
Loved how Arnav and Khushi try to get themselves under control...when they'd been so close to being swept away by passion...hmmm, both are pretty strong, I guess...I cannot say the same for their readers/viewers though...😉
The car ride back home...Arnav decides to sit with his wife...probably sensing her anxiety, wanting to offer comfort and to retain the closeness they have been sharing...and the implications behind his actions are certainly noticed.😊
Fortunately, they do not have to face any awkward questions on reaching home, as all are asleep...but they do have to eat"hunger..of a different kind! I do love reading about food, you know"and rice, dal and bhindi form a combination of some of my favorite comfort foods. So the Raizada men do know their way around a kitchen...hehehe...rich, handsome and domestic "gods" indeed...and they happen to be in love with their women too...what more could any woman want?
"Shall we go to bed?" dhak-dhak, dhak-dhak starts up again- note- he said go to bed, NOT go to sleep...sleeping not on his mind, is it?😳
Loved Arnav for the restraint that he shows"words and actions clearly show the intensity and depth of his feelings towards his wife...and she is so happy - He wanted her! He loved her! - that feeling when you know you are loved, when you know the man you love returns your love, is indescribable...fulfillment, completeness and peace...
Aaah...so Khushi is getting a tad bold, is she...sneaking a soft peck on her sleeping husbands cheek...but rushing out before he actually catches her! 😃
And of course, she doesn't forget to thank her Devi Maiyya for all that she has been granted - the gift of love. Food yet again...and I noticed, the strawberries make their appearance yet again!😃
HP is understandably shocked to see her up and about that early..."trespassing" on his "domain"??😆 And while he obediently sets off to pick up the newspaper, Khushi makes her way to the storeroom ...only to be confronted by her worst nightmare...the evil lecherous Shyam...toothy grin and all! To be honest, I quickly skimmed through the next part...hated Shyam for his filthy words, thoughts and deeds...Arnav fortunately wakes up and starts searching for Khushi---is directed by HP to the storeroom (Oh HP, I love you for this)...at least this time, Arnav is in time to hear the whole sordid story and see it for himself...and icing on the cake, you got Anjali too, to witness it firsthand...so no doubts remain in anyone's mind...👏
Khushi, brave girl...doesn't hesitate to kick Shyam where it hurts-- damaad of the house, he may be, but he certainly cannot get away with this...and Arnav quickly grasping the situation and also seeing that Khushi is handling it well, wants his sister to see it and acknowledge the truth of her husband...
And the conversation that follows reveals more about how sick Shyam really is- how he believes that he has successfully fooled everyone with his innocent, caring husband image, when reality is far from it...😡
Aah...pure satisfaction...that's what I felt, when Arnav punched Shyam and knocked his tooth out!⭐️
And Anjali too is not deluded by his words anymore...asks him to get out! Shock after shock hits him!😃
And then the whole family is there wanting to know what's happening...Arnav first ensures the two most important women in his life are taken care of...his sister by their Nani and Mami takes charge of Khushi...
Mami is indeed sweet, sensing Khushi's distress and giving her the emotional support she needs right then.
And then when matters are revealed more clearly, Arnav makes the connections between Khushi's earlier distress and berates himself for not having realized...but then all's well that ends well...😊
What a blow for Anjali to realize what has happened...to compare with the past"history repeating itself...thankfully her family's love and support will see her through these difficult times.
Loved how you described Khushi's feelings - feeling dirty, scrubbing herself clean to rid herself of the dirty memories ...loved that scene"it's one of the most tender scenes I have seen in IPK"an unspoken understanding between them, of the pain each is going through...that spontaneous hug and the way he tenderly tucks her in...😃
But for Arnav, there is no respite- a man, who is head of his family, feeling the responsibility of each member so keenly, his need to protect and cherish each one, is rooted deep. And he cannot but blame himself for the pain his sister is going through, for the pain Khushi went through, for her not being able to confide in him...a feeling that perhaps he has failed them?
Khushi wakes up early...and looks for him...and this scene is another tender one...sitting together, hesitant about him accepting her touch, she still needs to give him comfort, sensing without words, the reason for his inability to sleep...together they seek each other for support, for comfort...😊
I so understand family pressures and dealing with demands of everyday life...so please do not stress...write when you can...and thank you for doing justice to Shyam!👍🏼
