Wonderful interpretation Rashmi!!! :)
I loved it to bits!

A few lines caught my eye. They voiced exactly what I thought, but I couldn't put them into proper words, like you did:

He was of singular mind, ready to give in to her wishes for he knew that he was the cause for her smile to vanish. When Shyam had been persecuting her, she had not broken down but had fought back. But the minute she had realized how low he had held her in his opinion she had become like a rag doll, limp and lifeless.

He realized how much he matters to her. And how important it is to be the cause of someone's smile. Like Auntyji said, "Aaise aisse life guzar jaayegi and you won't even know." 😳

P.S: I forgot about the Raksha dhaaga! Glad that it fell in the cowdung 😆
