Bell ringing again...ab toh kholo!

Res

Khushi aagey !

Very appropriately named, this event did come as a surprise and will have a major effect on the rest of the story...!
I was not sure if I had wanted her to come, even though I hoped she would as they needed to talk and the way you wrote it made me think that it was perfect !
Loved his surprise at seeing her there, it was surreal moment for him...her in his house, using his bathroom and room ...loved his flirtatious chit chat ...ha ha ! .loved the attitude with which she came...so matter of fact...she missed her flight and had no where else to go...loved his description of the wipers and her spectacles ...and the vision she created !

How does she know where he stays?

Swami in his shorts, his awesome sense of humour, his cooking and coffee making ability and his teasing and flirting...how perfect is he?

I loved how he teases her about her suitcase, and not running away with all her gems...

So her story, I will not judge her simply because I know her circumstances and the way you wrote her story, I see her plight, desperate to get out for her surrounding to break free, follow her dream and can how she might have gotten carried away...but to me emotional adultery is as bad as physical so her even thinking of going all the way and kissing him and thinking of a future with him...is enough...but things happen, to unsuspecting girls who get charmed and have a common foe...and I like that she is human and does have flaws...but she has more than repented...so will be happy to put that past her...the moment she realises her mistake she is so burdened with guilt and her conscious awakens and she owes up...
Ashima knowing about her husband and his tendencies and see a vulnerable Khushi, could have stopped it, but was happy to let her husband cheat on her willingly to justify her leaving him...so she played A part too.,
I loved a sensible and mature Arnav, not hasty to react and decides to wait till the next morning...he is shaping up so wonderfully!

I did guess her reason to preach to him though ...about his morality ... !

I liked how wanted him to ask questions and his indifference at that moment or his differing his questions and comments bothered her and even though he regretted making her feel like that ...I am glad he holds back patiently ..
But have to ask why is she so bothered about his reactions?

I did love his comment on sleeping on his bed versus sleeping with him, to leave before he did something stupid... and locking the room !

I liked how the fire is back in her eyes and hope to see them connecting as two people beyond circumstances, confusions and chaos and get clarify and closure from her past and start a new chapter together...cancel Calcutta clearly...!

Never know what you spring on us next...is the plotting and planning over...or are we still in for some surprises?

I am thrilled that it was Khushi at Swami's door... I will dance little just for that!!
I totally loved how you have described a drenched Khushi... spectacles as car windshields!! Lol... And I loved that Khushi actually pointed it out to Arnav that he was staring... and the song that hummed in his head.. 'ek ladki bheegi bhaagi si'... Just brilliant writing Meera... I totally loved their conversation... it had some sort of comfort even though the situation was awkward...

Arnav just could not believe that Khushi was in his home... his room... using his bathroom!! I can just begin to imagine his wayward thoughts... And this darling Swami was cooking up hot noodles and coffee for our damsel in distress... I am totally in love with Swami... can I keep him for myself?? Is there scope to add another character Meera?? He is so blown away by Khushi's natural beauty... without a spot of falseness...

I loved how he tried to make her comfortable with his sarcastic remarks... meaning to make her smile a little... A smile hat could reach her beautiful hazel eyes... And then there was this uncomfortable silence between them... where both had so much to say, so much to ask and so much to be heard and understood... I loved the fact how Arnav reacts to the revelation of Ashima firing Khushi... His irritation towards that woman who distressed Khushi so much...

And then Khsuhi begins to reveal her story... of how Nandan Majumdar took advantage of her dreams of being a writer... How she had believed in the story of a suffering married man... knowing how arrogant and cruel Ashima could be sometimes... She lent her support to a man who was cheating on her... And then she came to know the truth the hard way... Her conscience that had been dead so far... made her blurt out the whole truth to Ashima...

Just like Swami I will not judge Khushi's behavior then... Life... people and the situations in life lead to many mistakes that one can make or avoid... It is all about the choice that you make... I like the fact that she has been stopping people around, for doing the mistakes that she did... First NK and then Arnav... And that is something our Swami understands... And after all she reveals to Arnav, she tries to find some hatred or disgust in his eyes for her...

Yet all she finds again, is some mischief... He can't stop longing for her... I just love this Arnav... yet I want to know what he is thinking... will have to wait for the next update for that... And Meera will he let Khushi go to Cal?? Will he?? Say na!! Your writing is an inspiration to many people... a brilliant story beautifully told... Take a bow Meera.. 😊

First things first M, here is a MASSIVE thank you for updating early and giving us a nice present on Eid! I was up at an ungodly hour of the night or rather morning and reading the update and slept with a big goofy grin on my face hence couldn't unreserve on time ;)

I think we have already established the fact that you weave magic whenever you write so let me get straight to the updae that started off light, got intense and ended again on a light note now can any chapter get any better! I think this chapter would have to be one of my Favourites in this whole FF!As soon as I finished the update the first thought that occupied my mind was the song Arnav might be thinking about haha and this song popped into my head immediately!:
I think everyone probably thought of this one but then my mind pictured quite a few other songs too I will save them later ;)

Now that I have got that out of my chest, I must tell you how much I love the very dramatic effect of that door opening, we were all hoping it was Khushi and when it actually happened I don't think I anticipated her entrance the way it happened. Her with her suitcase drenched in the rain leaving Arnav completely gobsmacked, almost as if he was imagining it in his dream. As we already knew his inner thoughts about wanting to whisk Khushi out of Ashima's place and with himself next thing he knows Viola destiny gives him exactly what he wished for. Khushi out of Ashima's place and at his door step.

Speaking of Khushi, may people may judge her but I still LOVE her. Sure she lashed out at Arnav with he high moral ground when dealing with her own guilt but she wasn't wrong there either at that point in time Arnav deserved that treatment she was giving him. Ok so he didn't deserve being played by Ashima but that wasn't Khushi's doing or her fault if anything she did try to not make his very first meeting happen. She simply couldn't tell him what Ashima was upto because of her own guilt and remorse, She did indulge Ashima's husband but like Ashima pointed out she was naive and easily fooled. The good thing is that she realized what was happening and went to Ashima with her truth. Ashima knew about her husband yet she let Khushi be used.

Ahhh Ashima the more I read about her the more I think maybe I have been too harsh on my assessment of her character. She is who she is and she makes no apologies for it. Khushi knew how she will be yet she was ready to work for her initially to gain experience, the rest is history. Having rambled on enough on here I guess I wanted to say that I understand Khushi because she rectified her mistake even when she didn't need to make herself Ashima's slave, Perhaps she did Not do everything to make up to Ashima but to be able to forgive herself because she was way more harsh on herself than anyone else could be! And somehow Swami actually saw this!

Speaking of Swami, he was just perfection in this chapter, the ever understanding, mature , sensible and perhaps the guy who is head over heels! I Loved the fact that he kept stopping himself from reacting or being harsh because he realized he was in no position to judge her, being who he is and what he was prepared to do just to score a project, made him stop. Not only that but the fact that she did not owe him any apologies for her PAST, yet here she was explaining everything! But alot of guys in this situation wouldn't have been as perfect as our Exceptional Asr. Most men would lash out and be the hypocrites that they are but not Swami. So Kudos for portraying him the way you did! We all fell for him here! LOVED all the jokes and little teasing remakes he came up with! I think the best one would have to be the song in his head while he stared the crap out of her! And then after that massive heart to hear for her to ask him about the song was just icing on the cake!

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the chapter, I can't wait to see what tomorrow will bring for these two the promise of that talk and then there is also that song to consider!😆

PS. Yeh Dil Maange More ( then again you knew that already)

Finally.. 😎

Read it... So it is indeed "Khushi" and Aha, Im so glad.. She came in with so much of authority I felt.. Like its her own house.. ❤️ And Arnav being so lost abt her being in his house.. 😆 Khushi and her story.. Arnav listening to it all.. He might say that he was himself no saint so he didnt want to judge her.. Im sure he wudnt have had done it even if he was one.. the '"thing" that they have between them surpasses all judgements that wud get in between them.. I feel bad for Khushi.. She felt guilty for being involved with a married man & she repaid it to Ashima the way she thought it best.. By the end, I loved the carefree talks between ArHi.. Arnav is mad, isnt he? 😆 Waiting for their relation to progress.. Im like damn sure that she is not going to Kolkata.. 😆

Okay i dont know about the song that played in Arnav's mind but the song that came to my mind was "ek ladki bheegi bhaagi si" from chalti ka naam gaadi!!!

Absolutely loved this chapter!! You have touched upon many things here!!
For the first time we got khushi's point of view clearly! Her guilt, her self loathing, her dislike for herself and her incessant need to make amends to the pesron she has wronged all came across as clearly as possible!! Though my dislike for her as reduced, i still m not very fond of her
But u know m sad that it took Nk's infedility to her to see that what kind of person he is and what she was doing!! If he had not cheated then she would have gone on with him! Yes he had explained the nature of his relationship with ashima but was not breaking somebody's trust meant anything to her at that point?

I fail to undersatnd why people cant see that if one is chaeting on his wife, he is not loyal to the one he is married to then how can he be loyal to the one who he is not even committed to. All of them think, specially girls that they would be able to change them but there is this phrase in hindi" insaan ki fitrat kabhi nahi badalti" I have seen this so much in real life that may be all that is coming out here!!

No matter how much he tried arnav couldnot stop herself from judging her!! But i hope he knows what is the sauce for the goose is for the gander also!! He shouldnot forget his own case!!
Anyway as usual wonderful update!! Waiting to see what happens next!!

Did a happy dance mentally on finding Khushi at the door!

NK was Ashima's husband and a cheat too!! And Ashima was ok with that and continued with the farce of a marriage. How much weirder can this Ashima get!
Poor Khushi still wallowing in guilt from what she did with NK. I agree that she was guilty to some extent in having an affair with a married man. But considering the situation and how both Ashima and NK played with her feelings, I wouldn't consider her guilty anymore.
I liked that Arnav was not being judgemental and was just letting Khushi talk about the whole thing. And then he told her to go sleep and they would talk about it the next morning! Oh what a caring and a perfect gentleman!! I hope Khushi sees that through the facade that Arnav likes to put up around himself.
All in all, an awesome update! You have made Arnav and Khushi so real - human and falliable. That's what makes this story all the more fun to read. Will wait eagerly for their talk the next morning. I hope next morning comes soon... hint...hint...
