I request you never to leave this one unfinished.

As a writer I would like to say something. Taking a break is okay. But you should keep trying in between to write. Or at least keep thinking about your characters, imagine sequences ahead like you would do for another writer's story. Don't lose connection with the story in your mind. That will help you come back soon
