And you are right back at it. Man, you sure know angst and despair really well. I guess it is better than always looking at things through rosy glasses. I have not read North and South - been meaning to - maybe on the upcoming camping trip, I will be able to do so as their won't be any Internet. Kushi is doing a great job to not let her sister see what was going on in the background using fictional examples to deflect what she was feeling. Poor Payal - hopefully that husband of hers can be changed as he does not sound like a good fellow from the bits and pieces you dropped in the chapter. Little town girl is all set to take the bid city by surprise. Hope she does not get hurt right away.

Interesting start... but I don't find anybody in a good place after this marriage. Their parents are burdened by the bills, Khushi is bitter because of the incidents and Payal too, I din't think is having that rosy and fluffy life of a newly wed. I like your writing, though being a fiction it always has a strong connection to the ground reality. Will like to know how you spin it further :)
