PART 9

Khushi had been thinking of going and meeting daadi since its been more than one week after her discharge. Thanks to the incredulous pressure in her office work and the irritation constantly provided by the presence of Shalini. She took out all her frustration on Arnav who felt as if she was being hypnotized. He knew that something was bothering her as after all her taunts in the morning he would be calling him at night to woo him.He dint pay much notice to it considering her craziness is at the summit when he leaves for London as usual. But when he asked about daadi's condition Khushi felt bad for not able to meet her since she joined office. She promised to bring her back home before he reaches.

Khushi along with Sashi, Garima and Madhumati entered Raizada mansion to find the family happily chatting across the hall enjoying themselves seating daadi at the middle. Khushi felt contended to see the smile on daadi's face afterall that's what she and Arnav wished.

Manorma : Nandini, did NK bitwa call you ?

Nandini : Yes didi.. he is coming in 2 or 3 days.. He could have taken Lavanya too if he had to extend like this.

Lavanya who was sitting near Payal stiffened with her Mother in law's comments. A half hearted smile spread across her lips which was clearly noted by Khushi.

Khushi : So Shall we too join?

All of them turned back to find Khushi and her family standing near the door smiling at them.

Manohar Kishore and the elders welcomed them. Payal and Lavanya hugged Khushi welcoming her. Khushi sought Daadi's blessings and hugged her.. Daadi got her missing part of her life back when she saw Khushi. More than anyone in her life, she could realize happiness at Khushi's and Arnav's presence as she is worried for both of them.

Khushi : Daadiji.. sorry I couldn't come and meet you after joining office.

Daadi : So what bitiya? You and Arnav call me everyday to enquire about my health.. Whats more needed?

Madhumati : She was feeling bad not able to serve you when u were in need of help.

Daadi : Madhumati.. I have my two daughter in laws, sons, grandsons and granddaughter in laws here. Why should Khushi should worry ?

Manorama : Why Khushi ? You thought we wont take care of sasuma like you?

Manorma teased but Khushi thought Manorama was hurt.

Khushi : No aunty I didn't mean it.. Sorry..

Manorama : I was just joking bitiya.. How is your office now?

When Khushi was about to reply there came a voice from the kitchen. Shalini came to the hall with Anjali shouting for pakoras.

Shalini : Hello.. Excuse me.. who wants hot hot pakoras ?

Khushi smile turned to a frown looking at Shalini. She was fuming inside to know the reason why she was at RM at this time? Shalini smirked seeing her boss staring at her giving her a I don't care look as its her sasural not her office to boss her. Shalini had been finding a bit difficult to handle her in office but she managed the Mrs.ASR very well much to the surprise of Khushi.

Anjali was a bit feeling low even after looking at her mother and sister visiting her. Khushi didn't feel it fair to ask her the reason infront of everyone. Shalini's bubbly and innocent smiles affected the Guptas as well. They were really loving the kind of chirpiness she had among the girls of the family. Lavanya turned her face the other side not able to withstand the family praising Shalini's accolades while Payal just smiled at it.

Manorama : You know Garimaji, our Shalini is a very good cook.. She makes the best of chaats and pakodas.

Garima : I can see that.. this tastes so good bitiya.

Shalini (blushing) : Thank you aunty.. I think Lavanya and Khushi didn't taste my cooking.

Lavanya : Sorry Shalini.. I cant.. Im on diet I don't eat these oily stuffs. Excuse me..

Lavanya got up from the place and left to her room making others wonder about her Me Myself Attitude. Nandini shared glances with Manorama as to she cant talk properly kind.

Madumati : Khushi.. why didn't you taste this ?

Shalini : Its ok aunty. May be my boss don't like to eat those made by her staff.

Khushi felt irritated at her mockery. She was about to open her mouth when Anjali stepped in for her.

Anjali: Shalini, please don't think my sister is so heinous. She doesn't have that sort of a mentality to degrade her staff or any human being for that matter. She might be strict not that she is heartless.

Khushi felt very happy hearing Anjali speaking for her.. She knew her sister who would don't leave any stone unturned for her happiness.

Khushi : That's ok di..I have no intention to gain attention and get into the good books.

She hugged Daadi fondly who embraced her tightly.

Khushi : My daadi knows about me that's enough for me. Even if others consider me wrong doesn't matter.

Shalini : Even your husband ?

Khushi could understand where Shalini was heading to. Taking Arnav's topic she thought she would give up her word. But this time Daadi was in no mood to sit quiet, she knew the inner sarcasm of Shalini's words. Though she don't show her dislike for Shalini she cant forget how her grand son was hurt because of this girl.

Daadi : Her husband would never spare the person who points wrong at her forget about mistaking her. Such is the love they share between them.

It was a clear nosecut for Shalini. Daadi was affirming that Arnav was truly in love with his wife and no one could separate them even if she try to devise plans. The love and care she never got from ASR she cant even imagine the intensity of his love for Khushi. Khushi blushed at the thought of daadi's words. His love can never be replaced in her life.

Khushi : Daadi.. enough.. Lets leave.. I have promised Arnav that I will take you home today.

Daadi : No bitiya.. I want to stay back here for some more time. You are alone there and its difficult for you to manage office and home when Im staying there. Here we have Manorma, Nandini and my sons to look after me.

Khushi : Daadi I promise I can manage.. Please…

Manorama : Khushi, wont you give a chance to serve our sasuma for some more days? Are you so eager to split us ?

Khushi got shocked at the misinterpretation of her wish..

Khushi : No aunty.. I never meant that way..

All of them started laughing looking at the tensed face of Khushi who couldn't get Manorama trying to joke.

Nandini: Didi was just joking Khushi.

Manohar : yes bitiya.. Let amma be with us for some more days please.. You can come here whenever you want to meet her.

Payal pulling her aside : and you can have great time with Arnavji too.

Khushi blushed and hit her slightly while all of them started laughing. SHalini got irritated at these lovey dovey talks got up and moved to another room.

Three days later

Khushi's office:

Khushi was busy working in her Cabin. She knew her husband would be landing anytime .. She had already sent a Car for him to pick up and was winding up her work to reach home as soon as she can. Her job wasn't that easy .. Her husband had given her strict orders in the beginning itself not to mess with her work only for spending that time for her Personal Commitments..That shows how bad Business person you are.. She snapped the thoughts and shifted her mind to the moments they had shared together as friends, couple, kids and what not.. How she had missed him in these 2 weeks. Sleeping alone on the bed when recently they had shared so much was next to impossible for her.. She always used to hug the pillow to get some comfort and warmth like she got when she slept in her husband's arms.. But nothing could replace his secured arms , she thought.. How she wished to reach home before him today and surprise him by cooking some delicious.. Or may be she can plan a Dinner out with him.. It was rainy season and she definitely wished to drench in rains and go for a long drive with him.. But he would be tired tonight.. Afterall it will be a hectic journey for him.. Huhh..!! So what else can she plan if not a long drive?? She was still in the same thoughts when her husband Arnav Singh Raizada barged into her cabin. Khushi looked up to find Arnav in rage while he came and dragging her from the chair pinned her hands behind her waist looking straight into her eyes. She was surprised how he reached so early? Khushi could see the anger back in him after a long time. She was admiring it with a small smile. He knew her teases would surely instigate him.

Arnav : Two weeks. You tortured me so much dammit.. Day and Night.. I wont let you go easily without paying me off.

Khushi (Raising her eyebrows) :Really ? What will you do Mr.?

Arnav held her possessively tightening his grip leaning on to her lips with a smirk. She blushed at the thought of what was coming next.

Shalini who entered the cabin with a knock was shocked to find her ex fiance with his wife in a compromising position. Arnav and Khushi looked at the door snapping away from their thoughts. Arnav was about to leave his grip thinking KHushi would feel bad but Khushi didn't let him take his hand.

Khushi : Shalini.. don't you have manners? Is this the way to enter your boss' cabin?

Arnav was surprised seeing this side of his wife and Boss?? Wait.!! Was he missing anything.. What was Shalini doing here??

Shalini: Uhh!! Well I..

Khushi: I ….What?? Its not even been 5 days you working here and you still not learnt the basic disciplines??

Shalini was totally furious at these words.. She looked at Arnav who did seem to be puzzled at the thought of Shalini working for Khushi..

Khushi: Now if you can see , I am busy with my Husband.. Whatever important work you have, just inform it to my Manager.. I will call you later.. Out..!!

Khushi wasnt able to control this Bossy side of hers today.. She was so much waiting for such a passionate encounter after her husband returns back and here this Shalini messed it up.. Shalini gave an angry glance to them and left the Cabin , closing the door from behind.. Arnav pulled his wife back to him and then looked in her eyes..

Arnav: What did I miss when I wasnt here?

Khushi: Nothing much but Yes.. She works with me now.. I mean Anjali Di recommended her and I couldnt deny..

Arnav: I would have lashed at you.. Well..Its really surprising to see this side of yours.. So much dominance only because she intruded our moments? Not bad..!!!

Khushi (Hiting his chest lightly): Not that.. I don't like anyone coming in between us anytime.. I will pull off her hair if she has some other intentions..

Arnav: (Leaning back to her lips): Plan that later .. First lets complete this ...

Saying that he kissed her lips again and they were lost back in their own world .. After almost 10 minutes they were back to the topic of Shalini as Khushi was busy in packing her stuffs to leave for home with him and he was helping her ..

Arnav: This is really intersting You see..

Khushi: What ??

Arnav (Smirking raising his eyebrow): I mean the jealous and posessive wife is always a treat to watch. I guess I should keep coming here frequently.. I am so gonna enjoy this fight.. My fiery kitten is very cute..

Khushi: You dont know me yet Arnav..No one can beat me when I am all possessive for someone..

Arnav: (Smiling): Really? So my wife has still many shades hidden in her which I yet need to explore then..

Saying that he pulled her towards him and continued gazing her face while she closed her eyes feeling his fingers on her waist, gripping it tightly , probably pulling her for another kiss..

Khushi: What if we speed up this Reach Home mission?? This place isnt helping me much to concentrate..

Arnav : Don't we have to go home to pack your things?

Khushi :No Arnav.. Amma and Mamaji mamiji have gone to their hometown. They would be back after a week only. They first hesitated to travel today but I assured them that I will be fine as my sweetheart is reaching today and he wont be late. I could go directly to our house after office hours.

Arnav : hmm. Not bad.. What if I had come late then?

Khushi acted like throttling his neck..

Khushi : Dare if you come late…

Arnav : Ouch Khushi you are becoming wild now a days..

Khushi : What to do ? Afterall staying with a lion I have learnt to be wild..

Arnav did agree and hit her head lightly for her joke.. He held her Laptop bag leaving her while she made a quick call to the Manager asking him to forward her work if any to her emails so that she can check from home.. They left the Office together to spend some quality time with each other ..

Raizada Mansion

NK had returned back from his trip. He did notice Lavanya doing some work. Lavanya was excited to see him but didn't show off. She saw her once and went to freshen up. Unpacking his stuff he started talking to her robotically.

NK : How are you ? Hows your work ?

Lavanya was astounded to hear from NK. He never bothered to call her these days now enquires about her .. that was a surprise ..

Lavanya : Fine NK.. How was the marriage? Why did you extend ?

NK : Marriage was good. You must have got the peace of mind while I was away?

Lavanya snapped back from her smile. She guessed it. How could he change overnight.. He is the same egoistic male chauvinist.

Lavanya : uh.. yea.. it felt like I was a free bird out of my cage.

NK : Good.. then enjoy your independence.

Saying that NK stormed out leaving behind a baffled Lavanya who would have thrown something on him in anger if he had stayed back.

Akash : NK, are you sure you are firm on this decision ? I mean there would a lot of questions and suspicions on this..

NK: Akash.. Im pretty sure about my decision to settle in London for a while. I checked with the options with Bhai there and it was more necessary for our company not to lose the existing credibility. We have just dropped down .. we can come up.. I have that confidence and I feel I need this platform to prove myself. My only worry is Shyam bhaiyaa. How would he feel if I take over his position ?

Akash : You need not worry about that. Im confident in your talent and hardwork. Infact I would be the happiest person if you can take up the business there considering the situation of sinking ship of our business. But Im apprehensive of how Lavanya would take it. I mean it would be difficult for her to resign and join u there. She is just coming up in her career.

NK : Bhai.. Don't bother. Im not going to take her with me.

AKash : What ? What do you mean ?

NK : Bhai.. its just the start of my business career that too without you and Bhai beside me physically.I know you both would be there anytime for help. I want it to get my full dedication and concentration. So its better Lavanya stay back and concentrate on hers while I could get time to develop our business.

Akash : But.. will she agree NK ?

NK (mumbled): She would always prefer her career more than her family.. Don't worry about that.

Akash : What ?

NK : I mean She will understand me bhai.. you have to make our dads and our family agree for this… and somehow Shyam Bhaiyaa too..

Akash : sure.. I will inform them and you can travel by next week.. just handover your work here to Aman.

Arnav's house

Since the time they had come back Home Arnav was all behind her like a Love Sick husband while she was busy enough in cooking for him, feeding him and then explaining him with the little things that happened here in his absence how she met Daadi, her encounters with Shalini too..It was a usual affair that whenever he is back they would share what all happened by Arnav sitting on the kitchen slab and she feeding him .

Arnav explained about how he had talked to NK about his issue. He understood from his statement that NK is stern in his belief and wont be ready for a compromise. It was a sort of predicament as there happens to be a tug of war among their egos.

Arnav: Hmm.. I never thought a Love marriage also can lead to so many fights.. I mean they were so good before.. How much he pampered her ..!! And see now.. It looks like he doesnt even like seeing her..

Khushi: But I think both are at fault.. Lavanya should be agreeing to leave Modelling.. Whats the need of her doing it when her family and her husband doesnt like it?

Arnav: Khushi its not the question of Leaving the Job for others happiness.. She can convince NK somehow. They can get some solution to this rather than fighting..

Khushi: So what do you say??

Arnav: Lets sort this out. Together..!! I am sure we can do this much for our sibblings.. Lets see how it works when NK moves to London.. this time of separation can give them space to think what is right and wrong.. I can try from my side and you from your side by making them understand how this relationship can work but within our limits.

Khushi noded and fed him another bite.. They loved feeding each other like this.. It only showed how much they are in Love.. They quickly finished their food .. It was raining heavily outside and Khushi was feeling cold now..

Arnav: Let me help you in washing these and then lets get back to the room..

Khushi: I can do it Arnav.. You dont need to do all this.. (She said stopping him carrying the plates to the Basin..)

Arnav: Its my pleasure to help my Wife.. And to speed up her work .. He winked at her.

Khushi allowed him to help and they cleared the plates and as usual, he picked her in his arms, carrying her all the way to their room.. Last 2 weeks felt like ages for them and he just didnt wish to spend a minute more without her.. She pushed the door open and he closed it back from his feet , placing her on the bed..

Arnav: Finally!! We are back to our heaven..

Khushi gigled and spread her arms for him to come on top of her , hug her and do everything that they missed in past 2 weeks.. He quickly climbed on her and was about to kiss her neck when the Door bell rang.. Khushi sighed whereas he groaned in frustration..

Arnav: Damnit!! Who is it at this time ?

He saw Khushi's irritation to tease her further he smiled.

Arnav : What if its Shalini ? (He teased her purposely and could easily see his wife cheeks red in anger in the process pinching his chest..)

Khushi: Stop teasing and open the door..

Arnav: Is it necessary to check?? (He showed his disinterest by hugging her tight and she could only push him slightly..)

Khushi: Baby please.. Just check and come back soon.. I am waiting..!!

Arnav had no chance to continue this.. He got up pulling his T Shirt down and then walked to the Main door to fire the person who disturbed them at this hour.. He opened the door and was surprised to find Anjali all drenched in rain and totally tired..

Arnav: Anjali di??

She was all drenched and looking tired.. He held her when she was about to stumble in the steps. Arnav shouted for Khushi to come down.. She wrapped her Night Suit jacket and rushed down seeing her sister here..

Khushi: Di?? Is everything allright??

Anjali noded her head and replied back..

Anjali: Since Mom , Shashi Uncle and Garima Aunty have left and would return back in a week .. I thought I could Stay with you for some days if you both dont mind..

Arnav and Khushi looked at each other in confusion..

Khushi: Why not Di.. Sure.. Come..!!

Arnav: I guess Khushi you stay with her tonight.. She looks tired.. And give her some clothes to change. She will be ill otherwise..

Khushi: Yes.. I will stay with her.

Anjali : No Arnav.. I will be fine here. You guys just carry on..

Arnav : That's ok. But how did you come like this? No one in the family knew about your visit here? They didn't drop you?

Anjali : I came by our car. I asked him to leave dropping near the gate. I have informed Payal too.

Khushi held Anjali and helped her to walk to the Guest room while Arnav stood there totally lost.. What would have made Anjali to come here?? Did she fight with Shyam?? Did she come to know anything about Shyam and his current affairs?? She was so tired and depressed.. It wasnt good for her to take any stress at this period.. She was already in her pregnancy and she surely needed good care now.. He thought of giving her some time.. May be tomorrow morning she would be able to explain her reasons of coming her better.. If not to him then atleast to her sister Khushi..
