Part 2

They had been at the police station for an hour now; however, no one was willing to listen to their complaint. Everyone thought they were just kids, and kept getting passed from one officer to the next. Finally they reached another officer and this time Swayam and Rey lost it.

Sw (shouting): Hum ek ghante se wait kar rahe hai, aur koi humari complaint bhi nahin sun raha hai.

R: Exactly, aap logo ko humari help ke liye rakha hai aur aap humari baat hi nahin sun rahe hain, naahi apna kaam theek se karr rahe hai.

MI (Male Inspector): Eh londe, tameez se baat karo, warna andar kardoonga, samjha, apni jawaani ka josh kahin aur nikal

Rey was about to shout at him, but was pulled back by Vicky and Nil.

V (whispers to Rey): Rey, dude calm down, warna baat aur bigad jaayegi.

Nil: yah dude.

Sharon quickly came in front to calm the situation down.

Sh (to the inspector): Sir, I apologize on his behalf, woh kya hai nah, humari dost missing hai, iss liye woh dara hua hai, iss liye yeh sab keh diya

MI (irritated and not really interested): it's ok, bolo tum logon ki complaint kya hai

Sw: Meri behen kal se ghar nahin aayi hai

MI: Kahin apne yaar vaar ke saath toh nahin bhaag gayi

Sharon knew this would get Rey and Swayam angry so she quickly interrupted.

Sh: Nahin Sir, aisa kuch nahin hai, actually..

And then Sharon went on to explain everything that happened with Shivam, and all of Shivam's phone call.

MI: Dekho, aaj kal ke londe londiyan kahaan ek insaan ke saath khush rehte hai, how can we be sure ke yeh kidnapping ka case hai, ho sakta hai tumhari dost apni marzi se uss ladke ke saath gayi ho, waise bhi aaj kal ki ladkiyaan kaisi hoti hai..

He starts laughing along with the peon around him, this makes Rey's blood boil.

R (angry + shouting): TAANI AISI NAHIN HAI, EK AUR SHABD KAHA NA TAANI KE AGAINST TOH MAIN..

MI (angrily interrupts): toh kya haan, kya karega

R: Abhi dikhata hoon

Rey gets out his mobile from his pocket and dials a number.

R (on the phone): Hello Uncle, main Rey bol raha hoon (break) I'm fine Uncle, how are you? (break) Actually uncle thodi si problem hai (he then goes onto explain the entire problem) jee, jee deta hoon.

Rey then hands the phone to the inspector.

R: Tumhare liye hai

The inspector is sitting on his chair and takes the phone from Rey.

MI (on the phone): Hello, kaun hai be?

After a second the inspector suddenly stand up with a jolt and salutes

MI (on the phone): Jai Hind Sir (break) Sorry sir (break) Nahin Sir, aisa ku.. (break) Sir yeh aap kaisi baatein kar rahe hai, aapka khaas toh humara khaas (break) jee Sir, bade saab ke paas bhej denge Sir (break) koi problem nahin hogi Sir, bilkul nahin (break) jai hind Sir.

The Inspector hangs up the phone and is in a bit of shock, he hands the phone back to Rey.

MI (to Rey): Sorry Sir. Aap log do minute rukiye, main bade saab ko brief karke aata hoon, aage wohi aap se baat karenge.

Saying that he leaves to go to his Boss' office and the entire gang stare wide eyed at Rey.

R: What?

Sw: Yeh sab kya tha? Phone pe kaun tha?

R: Woh commissioner Uncle the

Gang: What? Commissioner Uncle?

R: Haan, Mumbai police ke commissioner Dad ke bahot ache friend hai, toh maine socha shayad isse thodi help ho jaaye.

Sw (hugging Rey): Thanks yaar, Taani ke liye tune..

R (interrupts): Pagal ho gaya hai, Taani ke liye tu mujhe Thanks bolega, tujhe pata hai, main Taani ke liye kuch bhi kar sakta hoon, yeh toh kuch bhi nahin hai.

A few minutes later, they are called into the cabin of the head of the Department. They go in and meet him and answer all of his questions. The police had then proceeded to tapping all their phones, expecting that if Shivam called again, they would be able to get a GPS lock on his phone. Also they had dispatched photos of Taani to different areas around Mumbai, thinking if Shivam moved her somewhere they would be likely to catch him.

After the police station, the gang had headed to any known places they knew where Shivam hung out and tried to find any information that they could, however they all came up empty handed, even Shivam's house was locked, and there was no sign of Shivam or Taani ever having been there.

The whole day had now passed and there was no information about Taani. All the gang could do was sit around and wait and they hated that. They all felt that they needed to do something but didn't know what else they could do. They were all gathered in Swayam's living room.

R: Sab meri galti hai, agar uss din hi main Shivam ko maar dalta toh yeh sab nahin hota.

Sh: Rey, you can't blame yourself, there was no way you could think that Shivam would end up doing something like this.

R: Par Sharon, the way Shivam was acting that day, it was obvious that he had lost it.

***FLASHBACK***

Around two weeks ago, it was a normal Monday in St. Louis College; the D3 team had just finished a routine in the rehearsal hall, when Taani had walked in.

T: Hi guys

Gang: Hey Taani

T: So everything prepared for the charity fest group performance.

Sw: Mostly, I think we'll just have a run through of it once or two more times.

Sh: yah, I think we just need to polish up a few steps.

T: Actually I just came here to tell Bhai, Rey and Sharon that we have to meet VP sir at 4, there are some details of the charity fest that he needs to discuss with us personally.

Sw: Ok Taani, we'll be there.

T: And mujhe yeh bhi kehna tha ke..

Before Taani can complete her sentence, she is interrupted by her phone ringing.

T: Sorry, one second. (on the phone) Hello… hello… who is this.. hello.. AGAR KUCH BOLNA NAHIN HAI TOH PHONE KYUN KARTE HO.

Saying that Taani cut the phone and looked up to see the gang staring at her, the gang was shocked to see Taani like that, Taani never shouted and it was very odd to see her so tensed.

Sw: Taani, sab theek toh hai na

T (irritated): Pata nahin kaun hai Bhai, pichle teen dinon se mujhe lagataar blank calls aa rahe hai

R: Blank calls?

T: Yah, pata nahin kaun hai, kuch bolta hai nahin, sirf breathing ki awaaz aati hai.

Sw: Taani, tumne mujhe pehle kyun nahin bataya

T: Actually bhai, first I didn't think it was a big deal, ke apne aap band ho jayenge, lekin nahin hue.

Sw: Hum kal hi tumhar number badal denge, ok?

T: bhai iski koi zaroorat na..

Sw (interrupts): Maine kaha nah, kal number badal re hain to hain, ok?

T: Yes Bhai, OK, so I'll see all of you later, bye.

Taani starts to leave, Rey knew she was tensed about this whole situation and a bit upset so he decides to cheer her up and calls behind her. He runs up to her, while the gang gets back to rehearsing.

T: Jee Rey

R: Woh actually, (has a cheeky smile on his face) meri fees ka kya hua

T (confused): Fees?

R: Haan fees, yaad hai, we cancelled our date on Friday and I helped you with all the budgeting of the fest, I told you then ke meri fees hai (takes a step closer to her and whispers) one kiss for half an hour, and uske hisaab se mere 4 kisses toh bante hai

T (blushing): Rey, yahaan sab hai, aapko bilkul sharam nahin aati

R: Pyaar kiya toh sharmana kya

T: Aap rehearsals complete kariye, main aapke fees ke baarein mein sochoongi.

Taani is about to leave, but once again Rey calls her.

R: Taani (Taani turns around) rehearsals will finish in an hour, uske baad canteen mein milte hain

T (smiles): OK

Taani leaves, and Rey, satisfied with the smile on her face gets back to rehearsing.

During the next hour, Taani got calls from a 'private number' 5 times, but these times she didn't pick up, knowing it would be the person giving blank calls. Afterwards Taani was walking in the atrium, heading towards the canteen, when suddenly a hand grabbed her wrist stopping her in her tracks. Taani spun around to see who it was and is shocked.

T: TUM?!?!
