Dooriyan..

Sometimes falling in love once isn't enough..

When Arnav Singh Raizada returns from a year long business trip from the US, a trip that had gradually increased in days and turned out to be 12 long months. The first thing ASR wants to do is see his wife and 8 year old son Aarav and is delighted to be home but he soon gets the feeling that khushi doesn't seem to carry the same sentiment. Seeing a change in his wife, Arnav doesn't know what to make of khushi's reaction to his return, she seemed distant, and different to the lady he had left behind.

chapter 1: pg 1

chapter 2: pg 9

chapter 3: pg 16

Chapter 4 conclude : pg 23

A year is a long time to be apart from the one you love. At first Khushi was the one found it the most difficult. She cried for days when he first left and they were on the phone constantly but as time went on and his trip kept being purposed Khushi got used to his absence. The phone calls gradually died down. She became busy with her catering service, looking after Aaarav and the family and somewhere accepted that Arnav was busy to and that's the way things were. Life kept khushi busy, Aakash was constantly asking for khushis advice in business matters. Khushi may have been an armature at business but she carried the intellect of her husband and more so Arnav had given her the authority to make decisions in his absence. Khushi did her job as well as guide Aakash and even though no one could replace ASR the family didn't miss him as much as they would have done if Khushi wasn't around. 8:25 am on a Monday morning. Per daily routine Khushi drives Aarav to school, "Kal theekh ek baje sharmaji!" she says over her bluetooth convinced that she had some time for Sharma who had wanting to set up a meeting in regards to the catering service for some time now. Happy that she had been successful in sorting that out khushi taps the side of her bluetooth to switch it off happily until she hears her Sons voice. He always had something clever to say.

"Mom'Aap kuch bhool nahin rahin hai."

"Kya ? aapka lunch box?, naaniji ki daavaya?, school ka function?" Khushi was going through everything that would come to her mind.

"No mom dad, DAD kal vapas aa rahe hai, how can you forget?, aur agar aap pura din kaam mein busy rahenge toe une bura lagega."

Khushi watched the way Aaravs eyes lit up when mentioning his dad and it was adorable. She hadn't forgotten had she?? it was just that she had all these other things that were going on in her mind, jobs to take care of. As khushi watched Aarav wish her goodbye for the day and leave the car she was left with a strange feeling. She felt numb almost like even though she knew he was coming home tomorrow she couldn't quite believe it or react to the news in anyway.

..

As khushi lay awake that night she began thinking about this missing excitement within her there were times when shed check her phone every 2 mins to check the time and see how long it would be before he'd be back from work but she no longer got that feeling.

'

Late afternoon the next day there is an excitement in the air at Raizada House.

The first person to greet ASR just as he walked through at the doors of shaantivaan was his son Aarav.

As Arnav runs towards his dad even though the qualities of the man that was ASR were quite daunting for some people behind the image of a ruthless businessman was a loving farther. Arnav shared a wonderfully close relationship with his son. They spoke over the internet nearly all the time so Arnav wasn't at all worried about his son, just glad to see him.

Looking down towards Aarav who had grown a little bit since he last saw him in flesh Arnav was overwhelmed by his grasp around his lower half of his body, Aaravs arms around him It was only when Aarav let go of his farther was Arnav able to lower himself to his knees in order embrace his son.

Feeling his fathers hands hover over his back.. Aarav knew that he'd missed his dad throughout the year but never really admitted it, until now that is.

"Dad all those times you asked me If I missed over the phone and I said no ..i lied" he confessed in a very genuine tone of voice and Arnav couldn't help but smile at his sons innocence. "I know, I missed you too son."

The smile on Aaravs face could be compared to nothing and that joy glowed in his fathers eyes too. Rising from his squatted position on the floor Arnav affectionately sweeps his hand over Aaravs hair who still looks up towards his farther fondly before looking around. His eyes searching for Khushi amongst the family members.

Standing at a distance whilst all other members of the family greet him, the only person his eyes were constantly on was Khushi who watched from a distance but as soon as she caught sight of his eyes on her she lowered her gaze. Dressed in a vibrant red and green saari she had made a little bit more of an effort today and but her appearance wasn't as of relevance to him, she looked beautiful no matter what she wore. As the rest of the family meets and greets Arnav, maami, Anjali, NK, Aakash, even Hari-prakash had greeted him the only person that remained was Khushi.

Still standing quietly at a distance, Arnavs eyes which were upon her from the time he had entered the house finds himself walking towards her. She would normally be the first to push her way through the crowd of the family and throw herself into his arms. Being dramatic was her thing but she stood there composed even a little hesitant which surprised him.

Watching him approach his appearance a little disarrayed with travel. A loose white collar and tie to his purple attire, sleeves of his shirt rolled up slightly with only the aid of his waistcoat all showed signs of a long journey but he still managed to carry a charm that played its part on Khushis heart even now.

As Arnav stopped before Khushi and took a moment to look upon his wife, speechless due to overwhelm more than anything he expected Khushi to fall onto his chest in embrace in tears. He was expecting her to be the dramatic self she was but he watched her greet him with words before lowering her posture in an attempt to seek his blessings. Quick in picking Khushi up after the initial surprise at her move Arnav draws her into his arms and places a kiss on her forehead. He was so glad to be back.

'

Later into the night as ASR walks into his room to find Khushi with her back to him hanging the last of his shirts from his unpacked suitcase. Excited to finally get time alone with his wife Arnav silently walks up behind Khushi and watches her for a few moments. It was only when feeling his arms encircle around her waist and the sound of another heartbeat at proximity did she become aware of his presence.

His touch sent a strange sensation through Khushi like she had forgotten what his closeness felt like.

Feeling his lips draw closer to the crux of her neck and hover over her ear passionately she felt his words echo upon her skin which resulted to her closing her eyes whilst listening to his words "I've missed you Khushi"

It felt strange hearing her name in his voice after so much time apart. Arnav turned Khushi gently to face him, he admired his wife. Nothing had changed about her she looked as youthful, innocent and beautiful as she did when he had left. He couldn't help but initiate more intimacy but there was something he had noticed, khushi was quitter than usual. "Is everything alright khushi?"

Khushi simply nods a yes but Arnav per nature is a little more cautious "You would tell me if there was something wrong wouldn't you?"

Khushi replying with a "ji..." wasn't quite sure herself of what was going on in her mind. Arnav to caught up in his wife fails to see the insecurity in Khushis eyes and continues to peruse a more flirtatious conversation.

"Good because.. We have a lot of catching up to do Mrs Raizada and agar aise kuch hai bhi toe bi warned hame pata chal jayeyga."

It wasn't long before Khushi felt herself being lifted in into his arms. Feeling the bed covers shape beneath her figure she opened her eyes to her husband closing the proximity between them both.

Whilst he disrobed her, felt her, caressed her, demonstrated how much he had missed her and loved her..khushi lay submissively during the intimacy. ASR was usually as dominant in their physical relationship as he was in there day to day life however today he had failed to realize that Khushi was more submissive than ever before. Almost too much. Lost in his own desires, his love was not of the ruthless sort, it passionate, loving yet demanding but their time together on this occasion was increasingly about him expressing his love rather than Khushi.

'

Next Chapter

Next morning as Khushi wakes up next to Arnav, she sits up in bed thinking of last night and realizes that she had trouble understanding her feelings about their time spent together.

Edit:

I love the concept. One year apart in a marriage is a very difficult matter. Seems like Khushi has just gotten used to being on her own and running the household, her business and taking care of Aarav that she has forgotten what it is to be a wife.

Looking forward to part 2, please update soon.

Awesome.
It looks like distance creates an invisible wall between them. They still love each other. But last one year Khushi was fulfilling all her responsibilities ..a mom..a daughter-in-law...a sister...a bhabi...a business women...by her self. She wasn't a wife and Arnav wasn't there to gave her that love and support. Under all of her responsibilities her passion and love for Arnav is buried in her heart because of this distance. All of a sudden she is overwhelmed to see him and has no clue how to react.

Thanks for the PM
