Crossovers is when two or more fandoms actually interact. By the example you gave: if you keep Madhubala as RK's wife in your story and maintain her character in your story the way it is in the show, then we have a crossover. Else, its an original fiction with a familiar face :-)

A reader needs a face to connect with the character you are portraying and they want to put their favorite actor's face on it. It's enthralling, I suppose. There may not be takers for XYZ characters but as soon as you rename XYZ to ABC, you will see a bump in readership. That's how it is :=)

I wrote the whole thing and then I realized you'd written it all before 😆

I know what you mean! I always see ArHi fanfics on here even though I'm not really a big fan of them (I don't dislike them, just that IPK doesn't appeal to me) but I'll only read a FF on them if someone has written it properly? For me, I find it so hard to read a script structure because it just looks awful [no offence to those that do, but its not for me]. If a person's writing and structure is really good then yeah I'll read it regardless of the characters. But I have trouble reading if the plot is just shallow, like other books out there *cough* Twilight *cough*😆

The only reason I wanted to write an original with actors faces such as using Barun Sobti as "Bob" paired against Nia Sharma as "Daisy" 🤣 Not likely with these but so I can have own characterisations/names etc but for the readers to have an image of who they can picture. Although there is going to be one pair who are a reel life pair, purely because I couldn't image anyone else who can play them (actors-wise). I'm actually quite excited because it's going to be a family saga so its not just based on one couple - I'm channelling my inner Ekta Kapoor 😆😆!

@BlueMystique: love your name BTW! I wouldn't put it on Wattpad purely because its strictly for I-F and it's going to be confusing going from one platform to another (at least to me haha)

@KaaliBilli: OMG, your name is awesome!! Ahahah! Yeah I guess most of our stories are AU! =)

🤣 Everyone does that! They're like is it "Zahara like the Sahara" - No! 😆 I'm glad that's all cleared up. AHahahaha!

Whenever I think of you Jot, I always have Chord Overstreet's face in my head. And when I see him on Glee - I'm like "that's Angel.Jot" 😛😆
