PROOF 2#
She looked for him everywhere but he was nowhere to be found. She has not met him since morning and that was the reason she was being grumpy and irritated. She called him at last and found he was at sharon's place.
Here at sharon's house everyone was waiting for rey to announce for what he assembled the whole gang except taani.
"Come on! rey u will kill us with this suspense!!" Sharon was getting too excited.
"umm first I need assurance… from .. from swayam" rey dint knew how to break the news to them, especially swayam.
"assurance??? Oh god.. rey are you in your senses? What are speaking?" swayam was puzzled. "and why didn't you call taani here??"
"actually its about her.. no its about us.. I mean its about me and taani"
As soon as rey said 'me and taani', swayam shot a glance at him and others were confused to the limits.
Rey saw their faces and continued "we.. I mean.. me and taani.. umm.. love each other."
A moment of silence. Which was broken by nilesh who pinched swayam hard.
"NIL!!!???"
"its not a dream dude.. "nil tried to suppress his laugh at swayam's condition as everyone was thrilled to hear rey's announcement.
"you mean.. you and taani!.. my best buddy and my sis!! Are in love!?? You didn't tell me you like her.. nor she.. and why is she not here?? " he tried to grasp the happenings. "Speakuuup I m waiting!!"
"coz she doesn't know.. that she loves me.."
"WHAT!!!!" they all spoke together which made rey jolt a little.
"Calm down guys!! Calm down please! Actually she is not accepting that it is love not friendship and for that I will have prove it to her.. so… I wanted a favour from you all." Rey looked expectantly towards swayam trying to analyze his reaction.
"Seriously all girls are alike.." swayam spoke at last and now it was rey's time to get puzzled. Swayam noticed rey's confusion and said, "Some don't know difference between love-friendship and some between love-like". He sighed and amusingly looked up to Sharon who blushed remembering their confession.
"but what can we help in this?" Sharon tried to cover up what swayam had just said.
Rey smiled. He had something in his mind.
Here in her room, taani couldn't sleep. She hadn't met him the whole day and so was eagerly waiting for the sun to rise for it to start a new day.
Next morning, taani left for the college as early as possible and waited for rey to arrive. But he was nowhere to be seen. She went to the gang, "guys, rey has still not arrived??"
"taani, actually he slipped from the stairs and hurt his back very badly. He is at home…."simmi was cutoff bye taani who was now worried to the limit.
"what?? and no one told me?? He must be in pain.. might not be able to walk!! I need to see him right now.. god knows how he must be.. and why is everyone here?? No one stayed with him… you all are his friends guys!!" she became hyper and left swiftly to rey's home. As she left, everyone cheered and high-fived. They did it.
She reached his house and barged into his room when he just came out of his kitchen holding a coffee cup. She looked around the room and on not finding him got tensed. Just as she turned to leave his room she collided with rey who just entered the room.
"ouch… REY!! Oh I m so sorry! Are you fine ? I hope I didn't hurt you… what were you doing there? You are in pain and you need to take rest. You will not leave the room until you become fine. Understood?" she told him in one breath. Rey couldn't take his eyes off her face. She looked more beautiful when she cared for him.
"rey are you listening???"
"ha.. haah? Yes.. but I am all good! You need not worry about me."
"oh come on, everyone told me you slipped on the stairs, it must be hurting very bad. Don't lie to me."
"they lied." Rey couldn't help but smile.
"what? and why? You are smiling? You all fooled me? It is not at all humorous do you get that! You don't even know how much worried I was." Taani was annoyed.
"hey! Relax.. relax!! It was just a joke.. why are you getting so hyper? As a friend I knew you will be worried, but to this extent?? I seriously didn't know. Really sorry taani. Ummm.. you want coffee or tea?" he knew it.. that she will come.
"Nothing.. Thank you" she was still very much frustrated with the prank.
"By the way taani.. I must say your friendship level is maximum one can have." He smirked knowing what effect it would have on her. She stopped midway drinking water and stared rey in utter disbelief.
'Minimum love is friendship, maximum friendship is love' She felt this line was on roller coaster in her head.
"I think I must leave now." and she promptly left his house and sat outside at the stairs.
"maximum friendship?? No.. no.. no.. its just that he is my close friend. Nothing more than that. Right? Yeah right? You have lost your mind taani. I think I should stop watching Hindi films, it is making me insane." She stood up and started moving back to rey's house.
"oh god!! What am I doing?? This is rey's house not mine!! I really need some sleep now." She turned back again and now left for her home.
Rey was observing her from the window and as she left he slapped his hand on his head.
"I really doubt if she is Swayam's, the lover boy's sister! But she is so cute… and so weird.. my taani." He smiled widely.
