a beautiful update... arnav showing respect to all the elders by asking their permission before commencing with the ceremony was very moving as was the unmitigated joy shining on the faces of every one of aarti's employees and members of their families... shows how much they love and esteem her... nitin and jayesh bhai's reaction speaks of their love, joy and relief that things are going well for aarti and that she has now been able to blossom into the lady she truly is, besides being able to enjoy her feminity, something she had been deprived of for long: Both men smiled, their fists clenching as though closing around the neck of Mohan Mishra for having prevented his daughter from knowing & exploring her own feminine beauty. nk's reaction was expected... the sunflower theme and decorations are an intrinsic part of nk and aarti and would be such an integral part of their memories... the touch of humor brought by nk volunteering to do aarti's kanyadan in no way took away from the solemnity of that rite and the rightness of aarti choosing gopi kaka to give her away... he has been her father in the right sense of the word... just being the biological father doesn't give one any rights overr the children... the right kind of fathers are the ones like babuji, mamaji, gopi kaka and others who have been there emotionally and physically for their 'children'

Loved the part. Aarti choosing Gopi kaka to o her kanyadaan was the highlight of the chapter. Relations are made through love and not through blood. Her own father didn't deserve to be called her father, but Gopi kaka was more of her father who gave her all the love and affection she deserved.
