A Dark Love

What on earth is she doing? Is she forgetting who this person is? A sudden reality hit her and she sucked in a deep breath, scolding her scattered thoughts she nibbled her lower lip with her sharp teeth and gasped hold a moan to erupt her lips.

"Don't expect any more favors from me"

He folded his arms over his chest, regarding her with a rigid look and she glanced up absently at him, a chill settled in the pit of his stomach to realize the way her deep gaze had scanned his face for a moment before her lips slightly parted regarding him with a plain look replying quickly "I won't ask anymore favors'I can take care of myself"

A brief flash of regret shot through his eyes to feel the edge of grief in her voice and he struggled to cover up it knitting his brows in a too fake frown, "really'I've seen it a few minutes back" he drawled sarcastically giving glance to her injured-foot.

"There is no need to mock me." She frowned trying to hold her anger back and sucked in a sharp breath, "it was my biggest mistake to ask you for help'how could I forget you're so ruthless? I don't need your fake concern and your help and" She paused and breathed, "I'm not hungry anymore you can take back this food"

Her voice choked dangerously and she blinked back the tears that sprang to her eyes, the misery, the loneliness and these new unfamiliar emotions that was hauling her heart she couldn't have bore them anymore'she was feeling tired'she was feeling lonely, a slight moan of grief erupted her lips as she pulled the cover back and rested her head at the pillow and finally A few errant tears coursed down her cheeks which couldn't hide from his eyes. The icy sparks in his eyes dissolved somewhere and an unknown lance of pain pierced his heart as he could feel her grief, regret stabbed through him, followed by momentary remorse, He stared sharply at her expression of complete broken, a shadow of loneliness under her lashes, something pricked in his heart so sharply that he took a quick deep breath to give oxygen to his lungs.

Leaning down He took the tray and taking one long stride reached at her side, pulling a table he kept the tray on it and then turned his gaze at her, "eat this food"

Nupur could barely register his words; it took almost thirty seconds for her to realize what he had said. Then, as the full import of his words trickled into her brain, the anger, grief she was feeling totally eclipsed by the amusement that suddenly shook her and popped her head to meet with his gaze , her heartbeat raised to see the concern in his eyes that he was hiding previously,

"I know you don't want to take my help but do think about your health"

His voice choked slightly at the sudden urge he felt to pull her and wrap her in his arms soothing her back, the palm of his hand itched to wipe those lingering tears off her cheeks and he deliberately moved his eyes sucking in a sharp breath, more disturbed by the brutal pang of urge that clenched his stomach. He straightened and turned on his heels before it could get difficult for him to move away his eyes from her; he took few long strides and slipped out the room taking her eyes with him.

Nupur took in a deep, fortifying breath still wasn't believing what he'd just said. He isn't a ruthless, heartless person---Is he??--No he isn't. Her heart raised quickly a voice against her.

She didn't know why he wanted to show others that he was? The day they met and he'd enforced her to accept his marriage proposal, there was not a single day when he didn't try to show her how much he was cruel, ruthless but why could have her heart seen what others couldn't?.Why suddenly she was feeling a soft corner for this man? Why sudden she wanted to see concern in his eyes? Why did his soothing words feel important to her?

She drew an unsteady breath.

Mayank clenched his hands at his sides, regarding himself with smoldering frustration.

What the hell has happened to me? He clenched his jaw and again took out the bottle of wine.

He poured some more wine into his glass and gulped it down into his throat trying to soothe the burning pain he was feeling'why her closeness made him forget everything? Everything'that he wasn't want to forget--Why? Why her presence near to him was giving the strange peace that he was urging to get?

He intake sharp breath and then sipped his wine again as he tried to bundle his emotions and tuck them neatly away'away from his heart. He couldn't have accepted his defeat. He'd to remove those unfamiliar emotions from his heart soon'he'd to get escape from those feelings which were slowly penetrating in his heart.

She didn't know what was the part of night when her lids fluttered and she opened her eyes feeling her throat dry she gulped down her lump and slightly tilted her head unintentially her eyes went towards his side but he wasn't present on the bed, giving quick glance to the whole room she realized he wasn't even in the room, it was meant he didn't return back home yet she didn't know why but she felt a strange wave of panic engulfed her heart.

"Where is he at this time of night?"

A whispered of panic erupted her lips.
