My world seems to tilt.

My mind seems to go blank like a black slate.

Only thing stays constant is the heart beat.

It races down my spine.

ARNAV 'now explain!' what did you mean by these? So I tilt your world? Which way does it tilt Khushi?'

KHUSHI: 'What?'I just said it that night, you did not ask anything. Then why now?

ARNAV 'I need an answer. Tell me.'

KHUSHI : there is nothing to tell or explain. I meant what I said and I think you can understand . why do you want clarification?

ARNAV : I wanna know and that's it.

KHUSHI: you talk a lot. Before you seemed so quite. Now you cannot stop.

ARNAV: you want me to stop?

KHUSHI: nah. But these explanation, is not coming out from me. And no tricks are working.

ARNAV : look at me, look at me.

He pulls her around, under the bed sheet, where he has been lying with her for the last 2 hours, 30 minutes, 15 seconds.

Her breathing shivers up just a fraction. Her world tilts again. looking into those compelling eyes. he drips of sugar. There is something extremely vulnerable, extremely inviting in those eyes. something deadlym something that can lure any victim in. yes, victim. Khushi has many time wonder, how many girls might have fallen for his devil in disguise. Does he even have count of his attributes? Those eyes, those mesmerizing, killer eyes. those pair of eyes uff!!! Too much to handle. How can a person look into those lustful, cynical eyes and still not think of caressing him? is it even possible?

Her breath stops, her eyes get hazed up, her existence gets confused when he does that. Something smoldering, something velvet like, something poisonous. A drop , a look is compared to odoze of the lethal venom. At this point, when Khushi is trying her best to not spill any more of her emotions, those eyes can cast a spell and make her speak.

And who can forget or even dare to ignore those arms and hold? Umm'molten steel ..some graps. Some hold. Iron grip. Yes iron grip..maybe the word was made for him. he owns it. He flaunts it and he flauts it pretty well. Does he even know how good looking he is. Khushi has seen girls wooo. Awww.

Cooing in front of him, at the look of him. most are afraid of him, most shy away in his presence. But all lure for him. all pray for him , for his attention. She knows how the office staff look at him. she has noticed. And now that is she is him and he is her's these small details huts her more. It cuts like a knife, long deep, painful.

KHUSHI: did I ever tell you , you are very good looking?

ARNAV: what?

KHUSHI: I am serious. Did I even mention?

ARNAV : umm, no, not really. You told me I am arrogant,possessive, tough, rude, harsh, violent, painful, sinful, ill willed, vicious, cheap, boastful, arrogant and yes,

did I mention arrogant?

KHUSHI: stop it.

ARNAV: why?

KHUSHI: you are actually pretty good looking.

She turns around completely towards him, out of her own will and lies her head on the pillow. A hand on his chest, a hand under his head, around his cheek, smashed between the pillow and his skin. A soft smile spreads around his face. An angelic, innocent, sweet smile. A glimpse of his purity.

ARNAV : you are extremely beautiful. painfully beautiful.

did I even tell you that?

KHUSHI: yes. You have .

ARNAV traces her face with back of his hand and smiles again. she can feel his soul stir up just a little bit. A breeze of happiness in those eyes and a feeling of calmness? How can he make her calm one moment and crazy the next? Restless, impatient, worry, these are all that she felt everyday when he was near her. But now after knowing what he really is and why he reacts the way he does, she feel ease, calm and content.

He inches sup a bit towards her.

KHUSHI: you tell me everyday. The way you look, the way you hold me, the way you take care of me. I can see it in your eyes.

ARNAV : what else do you see?

KHUSHI: I see myself. My future . My present. Myself.

ARNAV: you know, when you are calm you talk sense. This I was never sure if I will ever get. You are most times hyper and going around in circles. But lately you have slowed down. You seem to be patient. You don't need to change yourself for me. I love the way you are. YOU.

KHUSHI: I am not changing. I just feel relaxed now when I am with you. There is no tension, noting unexpected, nothing to worry. I know when you react, why you react, you are also cooled down.

ARNAV : ha h a'.ha'cooled down?

KHUSHI: I meant, you seem calm to . ( smile)

ARNAV: God! You are pretty. I fell for you the first time I saw you. The ramp remember?

It was a strange connection I never saw such a innocent person. Such a determined soul. A transparent one. I was shocked. I know I doubted you, for ever. I misunderstood you. But it was sort of like a defense mechanism working. You enticed me. You interested me in ways I never felt. You challenged me to think.

Then you came to work for me, the red saree and there you go'I was gone. Gone down..feel deep into your net. Deep into your soul.

KHUSHI: did you love lavanya?

ARNAV : Khushi, please. Lets not go there. I am not comfortable talking about her. It happened and it just passed by. I am not sure if you can call that love. We were good friends. She was very smart and intelligent. Strong enough for fend for her own. So I liked her. She was an obvious choice for me. She liked me too. Maybe loved me a lot. But for me, I never had any connection, nothing compared to what I have with you.

He seats up on his elbow and tilts his face on top of her.

You are the one dear, you are the one. Who can light up my life. Who gives my life a meaning. You can make me happy. Who can make me sad. You are the one who can give me calmness, make me sane. In my crazy, anger filled, hectic life, you brough steadiness and meaning. I now know what love is. You showed me to care, you showed me to love. My LOVE.

So , I guess NO. I DID NOT. LOVE. Lavanya.

Khushi tucks him in and holds his face in both hands. Smiles. And caresses him. he rests his face on her chest. On her dupatta and hides himself. She holds her tight into deep embrace. Pats his back with on hand and sooths his hair down with another. Arnav holds her back with both hands, soft and gentle like he is holding a very delicate yarn of silk.

KHUSHI: I LOVE YOU.

ARNAV: I LOVE YOU TOO.

Time: 4.34 in the morning''''.Arnav finally drifts to sleep in her arms.

Time: 4. 39 in the morning''''.Khushi sheds on more tear '.of love and kisses his hair and places her head on top of his.

Smiles and shuts her eyes.
