Khushi took the clothes from Arnav and rushed to the bathroom without once glancing at him.She shut the door behind her and stood with her back to the door her hand across her racing heart 'DHAK DHAK DHAK DHAK' she pressed closer in an attempt to control it but as usual when it comes to Arnavji her heart never listens to her.Her eyes closed she whispered"Hey Devi Maiya yeh kya hogaya.Hum ab bahaar kaise jaayenge"But she knew she has to eventually step out of the bathroom and face him sooner or later.She looked at herself in the bathroom mirror and gasped at her image for the second time since morning.This time it was more out of shock at the image reflecting back at her.Her hair was a complete mess.Her clothes were wet and plastered to her shaking body. Water was dripping all over her and down to the floor.Her face!"devi maiya"she murmered.Her face was pink and her lips looked swollen and well kissed.She blushed again remembering the kiss.She touched her lips lost in some trance.She had no idea how long she stood there recollecting that moment.
She heard a knock at the bathroom door making her jump and brought her immediately back to present.Arnav yelled from the other side"Khushi,kitne dher lagao gi?mujhe bhi kapde change karna hai aur tumhari chai bhi tandi ho rahi hai.Jaldi aaja"Khushi huffed thinking he sounded as if nothing out of the way happened few mins back and here she is standing & dreaming about it.She mentally kicked herself and went about changing her clothes quickly.
Arnav on the other hand,couldnt wipe out his smile even if he tried.This was Arnav Singh Raizada who wouldnt even a crack a small smile for formality sake.This girl had changed him so much he thought fondly.Just over a year ago he wouldnt have believed if anyone would have told him he would be this bestowed with a girl.His di's words still ringed in his ears.She always said when his girl came into his life,even the thought of being away from her will make him feel as if his breath is stopped.He had mocked her many times.Now he could see the real truth behind his di's words.Khushi had changed his entire view on life and made him realise happiness exists.They were complete opposites but still it felt as if their very soul is connected.
The sound of the bathroom door opening brought him back to earth.Feighning nonchalance he took his clothes and went inside the bathroom quickly without saying anything to her.With his present condition he dont think he'l able to resist touching her one more time 'and that cant happen Raizada.She needs some space before you go about romancing her again' he mentally told himself and went about changing.Khushi quickly gulped down the chai which has already become cold and rushed out the door not ready to face Arnav yet.
Down at the dinner table Khushi sat between mamiji and naniji.Arnav sat opposite her.
Naniji - "Khushi bitiya ghar ma sab kaisan hai,aap ki babuji ka thabeth teek tho hai na"
Khushi - "Ji naniji,sab teek hain.Babuji bhi teek hai"
Mamiji - "Kaisan teek nahi ho sakathe saasuma,yeh dhono gupta sishters ko yaahan bej dhiya na humri ghar ma.Hello Hi Bye Bye!"
Naniji - "Manorama!"
NK came in and sat next to Arnav- "Hey Nannav Khushiji aap dhono waapas aagai"
He whispered to Arnav"Nannav kya hua? tumne kuch romance kiya ki nahi"
Arnav annoyed - "Shut up NK"
NK glanced at Khushi who was in her own world.
Khushi couldnt concentrate on her dinner her mind kept wandering to their hug in the rain and the kiss that happened in their room.She could feel herself blushing.
NK - "Khushiji zara woh baal pass kijiye na"
Khushi flustered jerked up at NK shocked"Kya???"
NK - "Sorry Khushiji mera matlab daal.Zara daal pass kar dhenge pls"
Khushi still flustered handed over the bowl with rice to NK not realising what she was doing.
Arnav watched the whole thing with an amused expression.He liked his Khushi all flustered.He smirked as something else formed in mind.
NK - "Khushiji?Maine daal maangatha aapne tho rice diya hai"
Khushi - "Maaf kijiye Nanehji" she gave him the dhal and continued eating.Suddenly she dropped the spoon which was on its way to her mouth and hicupped.Her shocked eyes catching arnav's.For Arnav's leg was fondling hers beneath the table.She tried moving her leg to the other side but ended up stamping mamiji's leg instead.
Mamiji yelped in pain- "Ahhh ! "
Naniji - "Kya hua Manorama"
Mamiji glared at Khushi "Sasuma yeh phatti sadi humri leg mein shtamping kiye hai"
Khushi shocked "Maaf Kijiye Mamiji humse galati hogayi"
Mamiji - "Tumne jaan boochkar kiya hai na phatti saadi ?Hello hi bye bye!Sasuma aap ne dekha yeh phatti saadi ne ka kiya"
Arnav tried hard controlling his laughter.While Khushi glared at him.He still dint move his leg from her but infact was proceeding upwards slowly.
Naniji ' "Manorama aap shaanth ho jaaye galathi se hui gawa hai"
Manorama ' "Lekhin saasuma"
Naniji ' "Manorama !"
Manorama glared evily at Khushi and finally continued eating.
Khushi was squirming in her seat unable to stop arnav.Her face becoming red.Nani noticed her discomfort.
Naniji - "Khushi bitiya,ka hui gawa? aap kuch teek nahi laga the"
NK - "Haan Khushiji aapke laal tho ek dum gaal ho gaya hai"
Khushi- "Kya??"
NK holding his ears "Sorry mera matlab aapke gaal laal ho gaya hai"
Khushi quickly pressed her hands on her face.
Mamiji completely ignored her and continued eating.
An amused Arnav asked hiding his smirk "Haan Khushi you became all red Kya hua tum teek toh ho?"
Khushi glared at him and turning to naniji she stammered "Huh ..woh huh hummare tabeth kuch teek nahi lagra naniji.Kya hum kamre main jhaakar thodi dher aaram karen?"
Naniji - "Bilkul bitiya aap jaaiye"
Giving a murderous look to arnav Khushi flee from the dining room almost stumbling along the way.
Arnav smirked and watched her hasty departure to their room.He so love his innocent wife he thought smiling.
