The first half was so nice that i for a moment thought could it have a happy ending? (I know it is rare/impossible). But later thought okay may be Kushi is leaving his life in end. A classic angst one.

Second half broke me. No doubts. He held her hand as his breath as his life. Its touching!

I loved these sentence. It started to break me here.

"She was the god he didn't believe in. She was the hope that got him through the darkest days. She was the tear that now rolled on his cheeks."

Oh wow that was beautiful dear! Heartbreaking though:( Their grief was poignant, the repetition of lines was beautiful. It's indeed a sorrow that they couldn't get the ending they wished for! You are a lovely writer whos has done Phd in tragedies;), haven't yot? lol keep up the amazing work! It is a pleasure to read your works, even if I can't tell you to Pm me your work( I read somewhere that you are not accepting buddy requests any more) But hey as long as I get to read your work in if that's more than enough!
