Chapter 20

Arnav calls Anjali

Anrav- Di, wooh kal mere saath ghar aarahi hai.

Anjali - really Chote?

Arnav - Haan Di…Hum dono kal afternoon ayenge.

Arnav waiting at the hotel lobby.

Arnav - Hey!

Khushi - Hey..

Arnav - Karan kaha hai?

Khushi - suko kuch important kaam tha tho wooh kal rrat nikal gaya.

Arnav - ok…ready?

Khushi - sure.

The drive from Lucknow to Delhi was beautiful. Arnav was trying to know the new Khushi. She was trying to figure out how she became the person she is now. At the same time he was glad his Khushi was next to him even though she didn't recognize him.

When they reached Shantivan Arnav was curious to see Khushi's reaction. She went quite and was observing her surroundings.

Arnav - Khushi are you ok?

Khushi- Yes I am fine

Arnav - ok lets go in.

Everyone in the house was waiting for Arnav and Khushi. Payal and Anjali wanted to see her and hug her. They were all very emotional and happy at the same time. The girl who brought happiness to their lives was coming home once again. They were all waiting for her at the entrance of the front door.

Arnav and Khushi walked inside.

Khushi had a very comfortable feeling while she was entering the house. Like she was home. She felt a sense of happiness as she entered through the door of shantivan.

Everyone were surprised to see her in pants and a top. She had her sunglasses on her head and was carrying her brand name hand bag.

Arnav - Khushi, this is my family.

Arnav introduced everyone to Khushi..Khushi greeted everyone hello and when she went to Nani she touched her feet. Nani hugged Khushi and said "aap wapas ghar aaye bitiya…humne apko bahut yaad kiya.."

Khushi- Jee

Arnav - Nani kehna chahthi hai ki humare ghar mein tumhara swagat hai.

Khushi- Thank u Naniji.

Khushi was looking around the house.

Khushi- Arnav tumhara ghar bahut acha hai…very homely

Arnav - thank you…tum kabhi bhi aasakthi ho..

Khushi smiled at him.

Everyone in the house were staring at Khushi, they were sad that she wasn't anything like their Khushi.

Just then Anu and Ashu came up to Khushi

Anu- Hello Aunty

Khushi - Aunty?

Ashu- haan

Khushi- ok…main apko aunty bulane ki permission doongi kyuki tum dono bahut cute ho..

Anu- cute? Please aunty…but bache nahi hai…chote bachon ko cute kehtey hai..

Khushi- well…tho teek hai..main tum dono ko chote samaj ke chocolates dene wali thi par ab tum dono keh rahe ho ki tum dono bade hai tho…

Anu- nahi nahi…hum chote hai…chocolate dejeye na

Khushi smiled at them

Khushi- ok fine ….first give me a kiss

Anu and Ashu both gave her a kiss and took the chocolates from Khushi.

Everyone in the house were very happy to see that somewhere she was their Khushi…because their Khushi loved kids.

Khushi- they are so adorable.

Anjali- shaitan bhi hai.

Khushi - anjali ji..

Anjali - aap hume Di bulayiye…chote bi aise bulathe hai.

Khushi smiled and said - ji Di..

At the Dinning Area

Khushi- yeh sab bahut zyada hai..main ithna nahi kha sakthi..

Nani- yeh tho kuch nahi hai bitiya…aap khayiye

Payal - Khushi , Jalebi

Khushi- nahi…thank you main sweet nahi khathi

Everyone looked at eachother.

Just then Arnav

Arnav - Khushi health conscious hai

Khushi- nahi aisi baat nahi hai….bas…kuch saalo se acha nahi lagtha..

After Lunch Arnav took Khushi for a tour of the house…

When they came to the pool side Khushi suddenly became restless.

Arnav - Khushi kya hua?

Khushi- Arnav I need some water….I feel very weird I this place.

Khushi drank some water…

Khushi- jab se tum mile ho aisa lagtha hai…ki main tumhe janthi hoon, tum jab bhi muje le jathe ho aisa lagtha hai ki main uss place ko pehchanthi hoon..Arnav Mujhe jana hai…mera sar dard ho raha hai…please mujhe le chelo

Arnav knew it wasn't right to push her.

Arnav - do you want to lay down?

Khushi- flight ka time ho raha hai…

Arnav - knew he couldn't hold on to her much longer….OK Khushi challo

Khushi said her byes to everyone in the house and they told her that she should come back.

Khushi smiled and hugged everyone.

Arnav took Khushi to the airport.

Before Khushi went in…

Arnav - Khushi…I am going to be in Mumbai day after…Do you want to have dinner with me?

Khushi was surprised. She was attracted to Arnav. But she didn't expect him to ask her out. No one usually has the courage to ask Khushi Kapoor out.

She looked up at him smiled…and said….YES!!!

Chapter 21

Arnav couldn't believe that Khushi agreed to go on a date with him. He rushed back home to ask him Di for help. He had never tried to woo a girl, let alone ask her on a date.

Arnav - Di, mujhe aap se help chahiye…Wooh maine Khushi ko date pe poocha aur usne haan kehdi..

Anjali was shocked. She kept staring at Arnav.

Arnav - Di aap Kuch kyu nahi keh rahi

Anjali- tumne ek ladki ko date pe poocha?

Arnav - koi ladki ko nahi…apni patni ko…

Anjali - haan hum jante hai par tumne date…

Arnav - di stop repeating it….I need help…yeh date kaise hota hai…what do people do on dates?

Anjali - well….you have to surprise her…

Arnav- wooh kaise?

Anjali - Khushi ji ko Phool, Balloons dinner yeh sad bahut acha lagtha hai…tum unhe ek achi place dinner ke liye le jaoo..music, flowers and please dance.

Arnav - yeh sab?

Anjali - well… tumhi ne date pe poocha tha na? kya samak je poocha tha?

Arnav - well…ok teek hai Di…maine Mumbai ja raha hoon…

DATE!!

Arnav called Khushi.

Arnav - Hey

Khushi- Hey Arnav …

Arnav - are you ready??

Khushi- yes but a small problem…can u come upstairs and wait in my office, there is some issue which came up and I have to deal with it. It will not take too much time.

Arnav - sure no problem

Khushi - thank you so much…I have arranged snacks and coffee for you.

Arnav - its ok, finish your work.

Arnav went and sat in Khushi's office. He was looking around and saw pics of her family. She is very happy in them.

Just then across from the room the blinds opened and he could see Khushi in the conference room on the phone. She looked at Arnav and gave a smile. She asked him if everything was ok with her hands.

Arnav smiled at her concern and nodded his head.

The meeting took about an hour.

Khushi rushed into the office.

Khushi- Arnav I am so sorry….wooh Bhaiya NY main hai aur I have to deal with lots of things here.

Arnav- its ok….par ab kya kare….humara reversation thoo…

Khushi- hhhmmm

Arnav looked at her sad face and he knew he had to do something. Just then he thought of something.

Arnav - can you wait few minutes in the conference room. I am gonna do something.

Khushi- what?

Arnav- just give me few mins.

In half hour Arnav called Khushi back into the office. Khushi office was on the 40 th floor with an amazing view. He knew she was so busy to appreciate the view. He turned off the light in her office except one. He opened the blinds. Khushi walked in and saw the entire Mumbai city view in front of her and a man who had feelings for her. For the first time in years Arnav walked up to Khushi and took her hand. He walked her to the snack table and Khushi saw that there was Lucknow chat on the table.

Khushi- yeh thoo

Arnav - you like it a lot right?

Khushi- how do you know?

Arnav - you just know..

Arnav and Khushi fed eachother the chat. They talked about so many things, just then Khushi got a call.

Khushi- haan Bhabi

Priya- Khushi tum kaha ho? Its already midnight

Khushi- haan Bhabi main office mein hoon…sorry late ho gaya

Priya - tumne phone bhi nahi kiya

Khushi- sorry Bhabi…I will be home soon.

Khushi looked at Arnav

Khushi- Arnav I have to go…Bhabi mera wait kar rahi hai..

Arnav gave her a sad looking asking her not to leave him

Khushi walked up to Arnav she took his hand and said - hum kal bhi yeh kar sakthe hai?

At that point Arnav couldn't stop himself. He hugged her and there were tears in his eyes.

Khushi smiled and hugged him back.

Khushi- ab hum challe??

Arnav - sure, I will drop you home.

Arnav parked the car in front of Kapoor Mansion. He was holding Khushi's hand the entire ride. She felt safe with Arnav. Like she has been here before. She felt this was not a man who liked her for her money. She could feel his sincerity. There was something about him which she couldn't which was pulling her to him.

Before getting out of the car…Khushi moved towards Arnav and gave him a good night kiss and went inside.
