Part 9

Minta: kaun. She was curious to know what khushi had just said. Did she know him. Did he know her. Man if she knew him, that guy, I wouldnt definetely get her to introduce him to me. She runs away from guys. Minta could already plan their first date in her mind. She looked at khushi who was in shock. Her mouth still open, eyes not blinking. And she stood there like a statue. Minta was amused to see this affect that a guy had on her. She never responded to any guy. But there was definetly something going on here. She smiled. And took and oath that she would get to the bottom of this, and later him. Her gutter mind was already in full swing. She almost fell on top of khushi with the wild thoughts that her mind was having making khushi come back into reality.

Minta: sorry. Do you know him.? Hes is damn cute man. Can you introduce me to him. Please. I would love you for the rest of my life. Just one introduction is all I need to make him notice me and want to be with me. Plus didnt you see the say he smiled at me. He shook my hand. That is an open invitation khushi. I think he likes me.

Khushi was flabbergasted. How many different thoughts could this girl have in her mind in less than a minute. But what bothered her more was the fact that she liked arnav. Did arnav actually like her. They hadnt met for years and everything had changed. Not for her, but maybe, most certainly for him she thought. She still couldnt bring herself to be the one to introduce minta to arnav. If their love story is to happen, then it will have to find some other means.

Khushi: no. I dont talk to guys remember. I was just shocked because he had to nerve to come and introduce himself after almost making me fall. Thats all. Lets go inside. I need to unpack. And start reading before the classes start. I have to be ahead of the game. Remember. She grabbed minta and forcefully pulled her into. Trying to make her stop thinking of arnav, and their future children.

Khushi coulndt sleep all night. She kept on tossing and turning. His eyes still havent changed. But how could she not recognize him. Her heart told her it was him, then why didnt she say so. She started to curse herself. She then started thinking of his smile. The shine of the white teeth inside, and the way that he took care of his appearance. It took khushi almost an hour to stop feeling the exhilarating feeling of the butterflies in her stomach. For the first time in many many years she was not able to sleep. The last time that this happened to her was after she had returned home from staying over at the guptas. She remembered their eyes locking and speaking, no shouting out to each others hearts. She smiled. But reassured herself that arnav must have changed. Time changes a person. He probably doesnt even remember her or their bachpan. She smiled and whispered. "bachpan ka pyar". She turned around and forced her eyes shut. Trying to sleep.

Arnav on the other hand, once he got to his dorm room, he immediately opened up his laptop and started typing. "hey khushi, you must have reached your campus. How was it? How is your dorm? Meet anyone new? Just wanted to see if you got settled in. - aish" he laughed. He wanted to know khushis reaction. But didnt have the courage to go and ask her. She never mentioned him in their emails. She did once or twice and that too very briefly. Talking about her childhood and the people that she knew. She wasnt very very open with her secrets. She told him how she reacted to things, how he day went, and sometimes if she felt very very down, then about things that were bothering her. He was the perfect online best friend for her. And she was his. He always told her how his day went, if he had anything on his mind. But tried never to give her any major hint enough for her to figure out it was him. But he shared almost everything with her. Through the years that they were physically seperated, his little mischevious plan made sure that they stayed in touch. And that they also got to know each other more than they would have if they stayed close. Or even if the had told her his real name. Being aish was now of a second nature to him. He wanted to him only. Forget being arnav, he wanted to only be aish. Simply because of one reason. He was khushis aish. Bas. He was trying to fall asleep as well but couldnt. He kept on thinking of her beautiful eyes. Her luscious lips. Her long silky hair. He placed his arm behind his head. And with the other hand, did what he does every night. He took out his payal from his pocket and stared at it. Its sound was the only sound which gave him peave. He folded it and held it in his fist and put it against his heart. Did khushi and him still hold that special bond that they had? He didnt mention him, maybe she didnt like him anymore. Times do change he thought. He remembered her eyes, her face, her scent and a smile came up on his face. He gently closed his eyes and met her where he always met her every night. In his dreams.

The next morning, khushi for the first time slept in. minta got worried.

Minta: khushi khushi. Are you alive. Tum theek ho. She panicked. Khushi was never like this. She changed every since she met that guy yesterday. Khushi.. khushi.. can you hear me. Oh my God what will I tell aunty and uncle. Khushi died the first day she came here. Ahhh. I am soo soo dead. No kushi you cant do this to me. Wake up. Bhagwan kay liye. Apni ankhain kholo. (minta was a bit melodramatic as you can tell, if khushi liked bollywood movies, than minta lived bollywood movies.)

khushi: kya hai minta. Subha subha tumhara naya natak shuru hogaya. Soo nay do.

Minta: khushi rani sahiba. Its almost 8. and you have an appointment at 8.45. remember.

Khushi jumped out of bed. Did she actually sleep in. she held her forehead trying to clear up the strands of hair that were dangling. She got ready and ran out of the door with her bag. She had communicated with a professor from before about starting to help out in the labs from day one. The professor was impressed with khushis transcript and her references that she agreed. This yet again was an idea from aish. He told her about how she should start to volunteer in labs before the other students run for the positions. And that he knew some people who could get her request accepted. She always thought that he had a lot of contacts. Whenever she tried to ask about them, then he would just ignore it and tell her to focus on what she wanted to do in life. Not how she got it. Or how he got it for her. Just do is what he said.

Khushi was running across of the field. The professors lab was on the other side of the campus. She figured if she darted through the field, she might get there a bit before time. And manage to think of what she had to say. She wasnt looking where she was going into. Too preoccupied with her own thoughts when..

BANG.

(hehe.hehe..hehe... this is so much fun :P, i know i am being mean by stopping here. but. hehehhe. sorry guys. will update soon soon. promise. :) this is helping me get through my weekend with arhi, and yours as well. i hope :) :)

Love how he immediately recognised her... but of course he was expecting her!!! Can't wait to find out how he tells her that he is aish... hope she doesn't get mad at him for hiding his identity... but i think he should not tell her immediately!!! loll OMG has khushi told "aish" about arnav??? hmmm what if she does... that would be sooo funny... imagine arnav reading her emails about him but she thinks he is someone else!!! oh no then she really would get mad at him for hiding his identity!!!

ohhh med school could be very interesting... he could help her out on projects ;) or pull pranks in the mortuary... just remembering all the funny and cute stuff that happened in DMG... but i don't think that arnav is much of a prankster!

I can't wait to read what she does after she has realised its him... will she run to him or shy away??? will he hear her whisper his name and turn around n smirk... what will her friend say when she realises that khushi knows this hotty!! Oh n does minta know about arnav at all... like has khushi told her about him???
