Khushi knew when Arnav had left the house...because she felt a piece of her heart missing...she frowned slightly...
Amidst all the laughter, Khushi's frown stood out..."Khushi? What happened?" Payal asked worriedly
Khushi smiled..."Nothing Jiji...shall we all eat now...?"
Anjali grinned..."yes...the sooner we eat breakfast...the sooner lunchtime will arrive..."
Khushi's eyes shot up in embarrassment...
"Lunchtime?" Nani and Payal asked inquiringly...
And they all began probing Khushi and Anjali to tell them everything...

At the office, Arnav was trying to do anything to pass the time..."how on earth was all this so important to me before...?" he mumbled to himself...
Akash had come to his office a few times to ask opinions, questions and Arnav tried to drag out the time by giving very long, tiring answers...
He kept looking at his watch...
"bhai? Are you expecting someone? Or do you have a meeting?"
"what? Yes. I mean no."
"what's wrong with you today? You used to be so focused and almost robotic at work...now i can't seem to get through to you..."
"i'm sorry Akash...what else did you need..."

Khushi was busying herself with chores and kept wondering where her husband would find her when he got home..."if he plans on pouncing on me WHEREVER i'm standing, sitting or laying then i better pick a good place..." she thought to herself..."but i don't have an exact time...will he be early? Will he be late? What if i'm halfway up the stairs? What if i'm on the phone? What if..."
Payal came into the kitchen hearing Khushi thinking out loud...
"Khushi? Do you need some help? You seem a bit dazed today...is it because it's Arnavji's first day away from you...back at the office?"
"I'm fine Jiji...just preparing lunch..."
Payal just nodded..."ahhh, i see...just don't wake the neighbours when you and Arnavji eat lunch..."
Khushi's mouth gaped open..."JIJI!!!!!"
Payal giggled and ran out...
Just then Khushi's phone rang...

"i just need your signatures for some paperwork..."
"sure Akash..."
"so how is everything between you and Khushi...?"
Arnav paused hearing his wife's name..."incredible..."
"is she feeling better with Shyam out of the picture now?"
Arnav's grip on the pen he was writing with became so hard that it almost snapped...
"whoa, Bhai...i didn't mean to..."
"Akash...I almost lost her. Hell, i DID lose her..."
"But you got her back..."
"Thank God...but what if i didn't..." Arnav felt his heart tightening...
"but you DID...and she loves you...so much...you're her life..."
Arnav smiled slightly at Akash..."sorry, i...i just can't believe that she forgave me...and still loves me..."
"well, she certainly does love you...you both aren't exactly 'quiet'...if you know what i mean..."
Arnav surged with pride, and then embarrassment...
"Don't worry Bhai...i guess it was all part of the 'making it up to her' process..." Akash winked
"WAS all part? Akash, it's not over yet...not by a long shot..."
"Bhai, she loves you! You got her...she's yours...just enjoy your life now..."
But Arnav felt he had so much more making up to do to with Khushi...her happiness came first...
Arnav was getting impatient...but tried to let work consume his mind...he flicked through papers and saw his name printed wrong...there was an extra "a"...he immediately remembered the time when Khushi was working for him...and he asked her to cross out all the extra A's. . .he looked at his watch...10am..."What the!" and he tapped his watch hoping that it was the wrong time...
"I need to hear her voice...her annoying, constantly chattering, beautiful voice..." Arnav got up to lock his door, took out his phone and called Khushi...

Khushi looked down at her phone...called ID showed it was Arnav...Her heart started fluttering...
she quickly picked up saying..."Hello?"
"Hi..."

"How are you?"

"Are you going to keep repeating everything i ask?"
"...am i going to keep repeating..."

This jerked her to attention..."Hey! That was loud!"
"I love you..." He said smiling...

"how else was I going to shut you up..." he smirked...
"if i recall correctly, there was a time not to long ago when you were saying something like, 'khushi, let it out, let me hear you'...so make up your mind...you want me to talk or shut up..."
Arnav felt his blood start to heat up..."Oooh you're not playing fair now..."
"what are you going to do..."
"you're going to pay for this later...and don't think i'll forget about it..."
"only if you catch me..."

"now get back to work...i'm hanging up now..."
"Khushi! Don't you dare hang up on me..."
"i love you..." and she hung up...
