I could understand her glare because she must have seen us outside yelling at her but why him, as if he didn't like me, did I do something wrong. Is he angry? What did I do? Is something wrong with my clothes, I looked at how my clothes were but it was just fine. I straightened myself and tried to act normal as he walked past me n sat right behind us. Drishka sat next to him. He was right behind neha and drishka right behind me'whereas varya and prithvi were sitting in front of us. I was still wondering "why that look". I was surely disappointed. I was still trying to peep from the corner of my eyes but I could not see him that clearly.

Proff. Rajiv entered the class. He was our bio Proff. He was the youngest Proof around his late twenties. He was handsome and that's the reason girls never used to bunk his lectures.

We were given all this pre information by Vicky. He was actually trying to warn neha but poor fellow she got all the more excited.

"So class, good morning, new day, new class and new faces" he said welcoming the whole class.

"Though I see some known faces from our school" he said looking towards some of the class members including varya, prithvi, drishka and reyaansh may be he already knew them.

"So first day first lecture, or let's start it with an introduction" he said in an enthusiastic tone.

"Sir let's play a game" prithvi interrupted excitingly'

"Fine prithvi first lecture, so I don't mind, but next time onwards only book games" he softly warned'prithvi gave a nod'

"okay so there are 40 people in this class if I am not wrong" he looked around the class and continued "there will be 40 chits placed over on this table, each having the numbers 1-20 twice, the people with the same number sit together, they'll be given 5 minutes to talk to each other and after that starts the introduction, each one has to introduce their partners, not only introduce but also talk about them, as in get to know them, this will help you'll to interact with each other as I guess many of you'll are new, who so ever know his or her partner the best wins and that couple be it two girls, boys or a girl boy combo gets two free movie tickets for the movie 'journey to the mysterious mountain' it's a scientific movie" he ended as the whole class cheered'

"don't expect anything else from me, actually I was supposed to go with my gf but she broke up with me today morning" he smirked and the whole class burst out laughing, even varya and prithvi were laughing, but I could hear no sound from behind, as if they didn't care, rudra was right they are proudly wired what a combination I thought to myself as all of us walked towards the table to pick our chits I could sense him right behind, I took a long breath so that I could inhale his scent, just his presence was making me go week on my knees, this guys really had all the affect on me. I turned around after picking two chits one for me and the other for neha. I could see him standing right there, his gaze was so strong that I had to hold onto the table for extra support, I so wished time just stops so that I could admire him, but time doesn't as he looked towards the table and moved ahead to pick up his chits and left before me, I was disappointed that I didn't have the same affect on him. As I walked back toward my table trying to ignore him, he was not the only one who can ignore others. I gave neha her chit and sat in silence.

"Okay then let's start" as Proff started calling out numbers and placing partners together.

"kria what's your number I hope we have the same mines 11" neha said I could see nervousness in her eyes.

"Mine's 13 its okay neha this way we'll get to know others also right" I tried to console her as she gave a nod in approval, though she wasn't convinced.

"hey guys what's your number, mine is 15 and varya is 18" prithvi turned and asked, we told him out numbers n he sighed.

"11" Rajiv sir called out as he was walking around the class scanning everyone.

"Okay so its rahul with uhh' neha right" he said as he wanted to clarify.

"Yes sir" neha said like an obedient child.

"Okay sit together" he said n moved on. I moved aside so that neha could get out and within no time sir called out "13"

"Sir" I stood right there in my place n looked around for my partner but I found no one.

"okay so kriya and reyansh you'll are partners" he informed me, I was stunned, "what really?" I thought to myself. Luck and I never go hand in hand. I was never so lucky, I immediately looked behind to see him standing and he was already looking at me. This time it was a normal look he wasn't glaring so I was happy as I came back to my senses Proff moved on'that's when he came and stood beside me, he had a light smile which made me happy but he wasn't looking at me, he eyes were stuck to the bench, I was gliding as to give him space to sit, he came in and we sat together, he sat on the extreme end on the bench leaving quality space between us, I was still looking at him and that's when he looked up towards me, a slight smile on his lips, his cheek bones raised as he smiled, his eyes were filled with curiously, as if trying to find something. I immediately looked away as I couldn't take it anymore, my heart beat raising.

'Hey' his voice was musical like the sweetest melody I have ever heard. I turned to look at him; his body was stiff as if he was trying to control every posture of his.

"I am Reyansh Singhania" he said, his voice as low as possible. He was polite enough, which confused me.

"Hi, I am Kria Malhotra" I said clearing my throat, damn this was the first time I was nervous; I could totally understand neha's condition. I tried to look as normal as I could.

"So how is it, new place new college" his voice had a bit of concern but he covered up with a light smile, as if wanting to know more about me. I couldn't just stare at him all time so I finally spoke'

"Ya, I mean'uhhh'it's hard to adjust, but with time you have to, that's how life goes on" I tried being philosophical as to impress him. He gave a quick nod without blinking, his lips pressed together; he blinked and looked down towards my side of the bench.

"So is adjusting easy for you" his voice was critical.

"no, I just moved in 1 week back with my mother, so I m still on my mission adjusting" I laughed trying to crack a joke to lighten the situation, but it all went in vain, as he still had a serious face on.

"Why did you move here then" he questioned, he was engrossed in our conversation. I knew we were assigned a task of knowing each other, but I somewhat felt this was not about the task, he actually wanted to know about me.

"well, I am basically from Bombay but my grandmother passed away last month, and after that my mother got her transfer over here and this is my home town been here twice before so" I figured he would understand the rest. He again looked at me with a question's filled in his eyes, but I loved how he was attentive towards me.

'So you like Bombay more?" he again questioned looking deep into my eyes, he was again having the same affect on me.

"Yes I mean, I have grown up there, but I used to love visiting dehradun" I tried being diplomatic as I met his gaze, I knew if any longer I would look into those eyes I would skip my heart beat so I immediately looked away with a smile.

"I hope it's not annoying, I mean it's just that'I am not able to hear you" he murmured.

"I am loud enough for people to hear, neha says I'll never need a mic to speak" I frowned.

"I think the total opposite" his smile was wide this time; I could see his pale white teeth's. That was the first time I saw him smiling widely and I loved it he indeed had a beautiful smile. The very next moment his expressions changed in to normal.

"So do you know anyone here?" he pressed as he looked at me. I paused for a while and then answered

"Yes Vicky, I mean vikram" I said. His face turned serious, as if he did not like my answer. I gulped in nervousness. Is he angry, why do I care? I tried ignoring my thoughts.

I was waiting for more questions but he was quite for more than 10 second, that's when I lifted my chin to look at him, he was no more looking at me instead looking towards the black board. I was about to ask him and that when rajiv sir interrupted.

"Okay guys your time is up no more talking let's start with number 1" sir said. He didn't look at me after that, he ignored me as if I was invisible, I was tired of his mood swings, what does this guys actually want, but to my concern I had been assigned a task to introduce him, but I hardly knew anything about him, he had asked me so many questions but I didn't even ask him one. It was unfair. I looked at him he was now looking at Rajiv sir trying to be attentive. I followed him and hoped that I would atleast know basics about him. It was neha's turn as I saw sideways; I saw her introducing the guy rahul, she gave in all the basic information about him his family and finished off, number 12 passed and it was out turn.

"So reyansh let me start with you" Rajiv sir said looking at him.

He was looking downwards, with his piercing eyes as his lips started shaping in to words very slowly and steadily "She's kria malhtora, age 17 and an attractive girl. She just moved in from Bombay with her mother after her grandmother's death, she misses her a lot though she never shows it, always tries to be happy around other, but is she; it's like a mask she puts on, still trying to figure out something, something that's eating her up, something she is eager to know about but later realizes that there are no answers, just a bunch of questions deep within her, though she still hopes she'll figure it out someday" he looked at me while saying the last line, his voice was deep, intense, like an echo to my ears, his expressions changed with every word but he was not loud instead his voice was steady. It was like poetry emotions, my poetry, I never felt so connected to anyone. I couldn't take my eyes off him, he knew me inside out but how, I never told him much, it was as if he could read my mind. I was stunned, a thin layer of water in my eyes, I blinked twice so that tears don't fall off, and looked away.

The whole class was quite I could see some girls glaring at me, I wanted to hide somewhere but at the same time I was happy, happy that it's not just me who feels connected to him, maybe he feels it too, does he also dream about me but how does he know all this. My thoughts were interrupted by Rajiv sir.

"Not bad reyansh, you know her quite well" he applauded, but reyansh was still quite, he did not smile just gave a nod.

"Now your turn kria, match upto him" not only sir but the whole class was eager to know.

I gave a quick smile and glanced at him, he was still not looking at me so I looked back towards Sir.

"reyansh singhania, his favorite color is white, he is like a mystery people try to encode but they are always disappointed" I paused to look at him, he was more attentive as his body became stiff again. I continued "he doesn't date, so people find him weird but the actual reason is still unknown, he loves his family and friends a lot and will do anything for them, a very enchanting person, be it his looks or his voice, everything attracts" my voice became intense with each word that's when I realized I have said a lot and to cover up I ended "not a foodie" and gave a smile as I looked back at Sir.

"Wow you guys really know each other quite well" he was impressed.

"so uhhh 14" he continued, I knew we were perfect for each other and I guess even he knew it, but there was something stopping him, but what, I was not paying attention as I was lost in those deep thoughts.

"So now that we are done let me announce the winners, you'll know it I guess none other that reyansh and kria" he applauded as the whole class joined in. I looked around neha was happily applauding with a grin but when I looked at varya and prithvi they didn't seem so happy with the outcome, they were applauding but their eyes it had a thin layer of hatred, drishka was just staring at reyansh asif asking him something, but he was not looking towards her instead he was looking straight ahead'I was happy that we won, this will give us a chance to spend more time with each other, but he didn't look happy, his eyes were stressed and his lips pressed together, I wondered what's wrong but couldn't figure it out. As sir came forward to hand us d tickets'

"It's an 8 pm show, enjoy" he said as the bell rang, he made his way out as the whole class turned into a noisy place. Reyansh got up and walked towards drishka who was already waiting near the door, I thought he would look at me atleast once but he didn't'as both of them vanished through the corridor. I sighed in disappointment, was I expecting too much.
